I've primarily only visited with him, so can't speak for the PA staff, but think his care is great. He is also very responsive on the portal, which is much easier than calling--love that feature! I also appreciate that he has walk-in hours available for emergencies so you're not waiting for weeks (or even days) when you have an emergency or need to see the doctor urgently. (I've even had to schedule an urgent pre-op appointment and they worked really hard to make it work with my limited timeline and the doctor's limited availability). His front desk is also really great. If I need something, I don't need to ask for any specific person, they all know how to handle questions, cases, and concerns. Truly, they are great at what they do and they're incredibly efficient. When I ask for a referral or let them know about a concern, I know I don't have to follow-up and I will be hearing from the doctor or the office SOON. I even had a more urgent case that I wanted dealt with as quickly as possible, so I called and got the office's email and sent them the necessary paperwork before my specialist did and I had a referral and follow-up material within 24 hours. When you have lab tests, tests or xrays in general, or anything that requires your attention, someone will call and follow-up and update you on the situation and potential next steps. They may not be the gentlest about it but I prefer a straighforward approach so that I can handle whatever I'm dealing with as quickly and as best as possible. This office is kind, efficient, and very good at what they do. Ever since I went to this office, it is about how they get paid. Just to let you know, my co-pay is $25 and it does not matter to me the cost of the service, but it does matter how I get treated for the cost of service. Well, months later, I get a bill in the mail stating I did not pay for my $25 office visit. Upon looking at the date in question, I investigated my bank statement, I saw that I had indeed paid. I copied the payment from my bank statement, and also a copy from the bill. Faxed it to them to let them know I paid in full as I always do. Well, I receive a call later, stating that the dates they had were wrong. It was another date they had in mind. When I questioned that date and validated it with payment, they came up with another date. This office is about money, not the quality of care. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that level of care and patience. Now my mom can't stop talking about how amazing Dr. Mikhail is -- she said that all her other doctors have never been so thorough. For instance, she has had breathing issues the last few years yet no one had ever had her do a breathing test to figure out the cause. Dr. Mikhail quickly got a test ready for her, then diagnosed and treated the issue. I can't thank Dr. Mikahil enough for all these years of outstanding service, expertise, and kindness. He is the kind of doctor that won't run batteries of tests on you unless it's actually called for. I now live 50 miles away from his office and will still make the drive down to see him. Specifically, she discussed respiratory problems and fertility challenges. I felt that she met and perhaps exceeded my expectations of my office visit. Not sure what to do, I went to the walk-in clinic (at Dr. King's old location) she was incredibly helpful and also understood my non-health insurance (meaning potentially expensive) situation and she was incredibly helpful. She also helped write a few notes for my local GP (UK doctor). Since then, I have visited Dr. King once more in her new offices and they look great. They schedule me to get my standard panel which should be free under my insurance coverage; however, I wanted to make certain that they don't try to weasel their way into somehow charging me for bloodwork due to any sort of loophole whatsoever, as they usually do. They always have a way of doing that where I receive a bill from the lab because somehow, and conveniently, the wrong code was used or whatever excuse they provide. To my dismay, it's literally impossible to ensure that I will not get charged for bloodwork. They literally made it impossible for me to get my "free" bloodwork. I spoke to Christina, the office manager, and she was so inept and so rude, she ended up hanging up on me. Imagine that? I call to ensure I get my unequivocally free annual exam, and the office manager can't be disturbed with such an outrageous request that she hangs up on me. I then call back, and she hangs up on me again. I call back, and no one answers. I then managed to get a hold of Claudia, and she is very nice and tries to help me. She says she'll look into it and will give me a call back. Unfortunately, Christina likely bullies her, and no one calls me back. That's was it. That was my experience. They take my money as part of the insurance payout, and they didn't even provide my annual bloodwork. I'm so done with these medical industrial complex gangsters and their collusion and stranglehold on the system. It's always and only about money and not the patient. I don't know why I even bother going to these creeps. They're so gross. I finally just gave up on getting an annual exam or bloodwork.
