With her guidance I settled on the Dragon Berry bowl - banana, pitaya, pineapple base, topped with bananas, strawberries, and apples. My smoothie bowl loving companion chose the Emerald City - banana, spirulina, mango, spinach, house-made sunmylk - and gave it her stamp of approval. Pricing is pretty typical for a juice/smoothie place, ranging from $10.50 for smoothies and juices to a starting price of $12.50 for smoothie bowls (each topping over the standard 3 is extra). They also have grab and go items including vegan chick'n salad, quinoa and vegan taco bowls, and a variety of vegan desserts. Eh, it was okay. My first time here may have been better but this past time was a little different. This time, one of their workers with braids was super cool but the other girl working with her... mm, definitely gave off a weird, almost power hungry vibe. It was taking me a second to decide, so the first girl started working on some other stuff, which was great because I did not feel pressed to rush. However, the other girl came out & was basically just standing there staring at us making it more difficult to focus so I just picked something random. She was hesitant about me asking to substitute an ingredient (I don't eat bananas) but the original, super nice girl, said that was fine & she could do it for me. I love their options & colors, and the vibe of the shop itself is nice too. However, our smoothies came out & seemed more like a juice/milk consistency. Which, if that's what you're looking for, cool, but definitely would not have called those smoothies. I might be back.. hopefully. Yummy stop for organic juices and smoothies while you're in Boone. They're very fresh and refreshing. We grabbed a few juices and smoothies. All were delicious. Our young kids loved the cookies and cream smoothie, and us adults loved our veggie-based smoothies. The bites were also delicious (we had the carrot cake and gingerbread). Wish they had longer hours though, as we would've gone more! Also, their other shop in Blowing Rock only has juices, but not smoothies. We didn't realize that until we went to the store. read more

This place is v. good for vegan juices and snacks, and I'm pretty sure is the only place you can get an abundant of vegan, juice options here in Boone (oddly enough...) Their smoothie bowls are delicious, and in fact, I frequently crave the Morning Oats bowl, which is my favorite. It was recommended to me once by an employee as a hearty, breakfast option when I first visited. Now it's my go-to choice. Truthfully, I can order one of these bowls early in the morning and be full until dinner time. I've also had many of their juices and wellness tonics, each which are delicious in their own right and make me feel clean and wholesome after consuming. It's obvious the food is fresh and the establishment wholeheartedly cares about veganism and animal rights. I've encountered many employees, some of which are more friendly than others, though all have been pleasant to interact with. I have a friend who requests we come here every single time he comes from SC to visit Boone. Now, for the downsides: It takes forever to order, even when calling ahead. This is manageable, as long as you genuinely do not intend on going if you are in any form of a rush whatsoever (including being on a lunch break). The prices are very expensive. More than once I've had to spend about $50 to purchase a few juices and tonic shots. This is completely atrocious and frankly unaffordable, which is why I haven't been back recently. How any college student can afford this place is beyond me. The prices even extend to add-ins. I used to add additional items to my Morning Oats bowl, including a different fruit or coconut flakes; each add-in $1. When they add on an apple to a smoothie bowl, for example, it's literally like 4 julienned slices. I could buy an entire apple for that. As such, at one point I actually started sometimes ordering smoothie bowls as they are, would come home, and then add my own coconut flakes and fruits which I had around the house for a much cheaper price. The last downside of Juice Boone are the hours of operation. The place isn't open very long during the day, from about 9:00 - 5:00, which made it impossible for me to order any type of food over the last few months given my work schedule. So many times I had hoped they would open, just once, early in the morning so I could have a delicious and filling smoothie bowl before my work day. Relatedly, there have been several times where they were supposedly open as per their website, yet when I arrived no one was there and the place was closed down, locked, and lights off. This would be particularly frustrating during the times when I would actually drive out of my way to order from here. Oh well. TLDR: If you have the time and you have the money and you want to try a delicious, vegan-friendly option for dining, I suggest you stop by Juice Boone. read more

A search for something healthy lead me here. I've had some things before when they had a corner shop in Blowing Rock and had good food. But the salad I got today was old m, avocado was brown cucumbers were shriveled. And the taco bowl was so compacted it was hard to dig my fork into the cashew "cheese sauce" which was dense and hard. To be honest I've never been all that fond of juice or the like however, I have repeatedly gone to Juice Boone and liked their products. Everytime I go an employee greets me kindly at the door. They are very informative when I ask what is in the products and what products are best for certain things. There are always a variety of juices for options and there smoothies are awesome. Smoothie wise I'm fond of the Dream Date (w/ Cacao) and the Black Magic. I do suggest you give the Delicious Durian, it doesn't necessarily smell the best but it does taste very good. As far as picking a juice goes if you're trying cold press for the first time I suggest you go for a fruitier option rather than one with lots of veggies. It can be a weird experience having a very veggie based drink for the first time, so in order to enjoy your first experience I definitely suggest a more fruit-based juice or smoothie. read more

They used to have better values and quality of product. Compostables utensils and no frat boys who don't know anything you ask about the products. They fake compost and recycle, taking everything to the same dumpster. What used to be a cute dining room is now a faux health clinic even though I value holistic health, I just wanted some juice, not to be psychoanalyzed by a random worker while I was in waiting for my bowl. There is no room to sit anymore. I don't know what quality cbd they're putting in they're smoothies but I asked for some in mine and as someone who is very sensitive to it and hadn't had any days ahead of time, I couldn't feel a thing. The juice is top notch and the employees are generally friendly and knowledgable. Juice Boone was actually my first natural cold pressed juice experience, and since then I've obtained a cold press juicer and have tried multiple different juice bars while traveling. Even after becoming more experienced in the world of natural juice, the quality of Juice Boone remains exceptional. My only complaint is the menu. They can't make every juice on the menu everyday, presumably because of the shelf life of the juice and the nature of the business. This means you can't show up on any particular day with a specific juice in mind, you have to be willing to go with the flow. I also find that the lemonade that gets stocked everyday really isn't worth the price tag. I can understand that lemonade must be easier to stock daily, but it really doesn't feel worth the price tag especially when a nutritionally dense green juice is the exact same price. If you're interested at all you should really check this place out. If you're a natural juice beginner, I would highly recommend Juice Boone, and especially the Green Light or Pink Power juices if they're available! read more

Stopped by this morning after running on the greenway and had such a pleasant experience! The woman there was extremely helpful and broke everything down for me that they served. She even offered to go through my own taste pallet and what needs I wanted met in order to choose the best juice/smoothie/detox/parfait for me. I ended up going with a basic "So Fresh and So Green" smoothie and it was just what I needed! The only downside is the cost, definitely couldn't afford to drop $6 on a smoothie all the time.
