Been going to Juice it Up many years now, mostly the one by my house in Irvine. I like protein powder in my smoothies but not whey based. I have my own non-whey based powder. Never had ANY issues getting them to put the powder in my smoothies, EVER, that is until I went to this place yesterday morning. Decided to stop by on the way to work, handed the powder to the girl, told her to put the powder in my smoothie and paid. As I am waiting for my smoothie, she comes out of the back and tells me that she cannot put the powder in my smoothie because of the "liability." Are you kidding? I told her to just fill it up half way and I will put the powder in myself and then she could top it off which she did. Needless to say, not the same as if it were actually blended. I will NEVER go back again. read more

Been here many times but have never had as slow of a service as today. Took a good 20-25 minutes to get my acai bowl. Maybe they need more people working here at peak hours (not my business), but it's gotta be a quicker wait than a restaurant. read more

I was the BIGGEST diehard Jamba Juice fan for over 8 years solid. You couldn't get me to go anywhere else at all. Not even try another juice place. I would map quest Jamba locations when I would travel & go out of my way to get one. Then one day, I just got fed up with damn "12" yr olds getting hired. Kids who don't know anything about customer service and don't have proper training for customer service is a BIG turn off for me. I will ask for someone else if they don't know what they are doing. I will give them a chance, but after seeing me day in and day out, when I have not Changed my order in over 8 yrs, you should know me and what I want. I just got tired of it. Tired of having my drink different every time, tired of bad customer service days, just tired. So after 9 yrs with them, I decided to give Juice it Up a try one day. They are close by me and I still love getting my juices. The menu has a lot of the same type of drinks I love, but with different versions. The 1st time I was here I asked what was good. And getting some good suggestions after I told them what I liked, I felt a little rushed and there were only a couple of people in besides myself. They staff seemed at the time a Little like they didn't want to be there. After come in for awhile on a pretty daily basis, I got to know everyone. Drinks were still suggested to me on days when I wanted something different, and I was happy to try them. I hadn't really found "my" drink. Having drinks so sweet at Jamba Juice, the first few times I had Juice it up, I felt they weren't very sweet and yes, felt like they were watery. I didn't really like it. I guess I was to used to over sweetened drinks at Jamba. I didn't know if I would like them. But one day Danielle- the manger, told me to try a Mayan Bowl. I was hooked!!! I haven't changed my order in about 6 mo's. I get the same thing every time, and sometimes they get it started b/4 I even walk in. They do get slammed during lunch hours, so unless you are patient don't go during this time. It takes time to make the juicing drinks with all the veggies, etc, so be patient. If you want more staff on busy days, then say something and don't sit back and bitch. They get crowded because are pretty good, in a decent location, and people like them. I don't drink coffee, so I don't go to Starbucks, and juice bars are good for me. While the staff isn't always friendly- they do okay, and I am the kind of person who can make them smile, I do wish they were customer friendly all the time, even when I'm in a bad mood. I expect a friendly smile and how is your day before I ask about theirs. But I have been coming to Juice it Up for about 2 years now. They do have 16, 24, & 32 oz sizes and a good selection of Juices, Bowls, and Juicing drinks. The prices are average in the market of juice places, if you frequent them, then you know. They will make your drink over if you aren't happy with it, and will give you just about any combo in your drink that you ask for. They do charge for it, but that's ok I guess. All in all I would recommend them. The parking gets a little tricky b/c there is a CVS, and Hoag Health Center. A few places to eat also. Tables and umbrellas outside, so you can enjoy your drink outside if you like. They would have gotten 5 stars, but they need to work on their customer service. She was very detailed with quotes and answers all my questions professional. I excelled in customer service because she gave great suggestions and was willing to put on extra effort to help us. Never walk into this store near closing time. I ordered the Acai Bowl which is probabaly one of the most expensive smoothies on the menu, and it tasted HORRIBLE. The reason being, the girl was so anxious to close the store, that she even denied the customer behind me and his kids of service, even though the doors were still open. As I stood there waiting for my smoothie, she started huffing and puffing and arguing with the guest about how much time it takes to make my smoothie and how she didnt have time to make him and his 2 kids a small smoothie because of it. I was SOOOOO UNCOMFORTABLE about the awkward situation she put me in, I was about ready to tell her to just refund me and leave. But since I didn't want to waste any more of her precous time, I just grabbed my smoothie and walked out.... I took one bite and almosted gagged! It was so watery and nasty, I ended up throwing it away in the trash can right outside their building...wasting my $7. I will never go to a Juice it up again... it's either Jamba Juice or Banzai Bowl now! read more

First time to this location and I absolutely love it! At first, I did not know what to get but with the help of Andre and Kiana I went with the blue bowl. At first, I was skeptical but boy I was wrong, not only it was delicious but what made it extra special was the service I received from these two employees. Andre and Kiana were very friendly, courteous and amicable. Great service and yummy treats was worth the extra drive. i love to eat/drink raw as much as i can and was stoked to find out that juice it up now does raw juices instead of just smoothies. very well priced for the amount of juice you get. i also got a shot of wheat grass and they give you a chaser, that was cute. while i did like it, i wasn't thrilled. hence the 4 stars. read more

Today, didn't expect to drop by to get smoothies. On the way home from pick up my son from school. He decided he wanted smoothie. I didn't have my wallet with me but he does. We ordered 2 smoothie but we were short couple dollars. We told Sareia, sorry if I spell your name wrong. I believe she's a manager or the owner. Anyway, I told her to take out my order or down size my order cuz we didn't have enough. but she have such a big heart to just let us pAided what we have. But she have us promise her to come back again next time and this was so very kind of her. Thank you again for taking care of us. im not a coffee person, so instead of going to starbucks, i come to juice it up right next to it. employees are friendly, and knows what to do. i don't really ask any huge favor or anything but if i do, i think they would def do it for me without any doubt. taste wise? i been here couple times and they haven't disappointed me once. i like fruit more than coffee or chocolate, so all it takes me to sastify me is fresh fruits and friendly approach. well they have done it good! read more

I have never had such an experience anywhere else. I stopped in today around 11am-before the lunch hour to avoid lines and traffic. The lady seemed nice, she greeted me as soon as I walked in. I ordered 2 drinks and a bagel. When she gave me my change, another customer walked in and I said thank you. But before I finished talking, she cut me off, greeted the other lady and ignored me. I walked to the side, patiently waited and played with my cell phone. The other customer left the store, came back after a few minutes and her drink was already done-before mine! Again, I ignored what was happening. When my drinks were ready, I walked up to grab them only to see a hair poking out from under the lid on one of the drinks. I started pulling it and got completely grossed out. I showed it to the employee and she apologized and grabbed it. I thought she was going to prepare another one but she didn't. I don't know if she scraped the top of the smoothie and took it off or just pulled the hair but she gave it back to me! I was in a hurry so I left and threw it outside. I don't want to say she was racist but my god, I will NEVER go back to that place. By the way, she was middle eastern-just so you all know and be careful not to be helped by her. read more
