I wouldn't give them any stars but I have to to be able write this review. Very disappointing every time I come here. The staff is never friendly, and the make no effort to make you feel welcome. Today, the woman that took my order was extremely rude, and seemed to have no customer service training. I was trying to pick up smoothies for my employee and I and I placed two separate orders using two separate coupons from two separate email addresses with two separate credit cards, and she wouldn't let me, and wouldn't give me a reason why. Then I tried talking to another staff person about to understand why and he informed me that she was in fact the manager, but by then she was hiding in the back. I personally prefer to go to Fresh Juice Bar on Washington and Hwy 1111 in La Quinta. The staff there is always friendly and polite and their juices and smoothies are always delicious and Fresh! Stopped by here on Sunday on our way out of Palm Springs back to San Diego. Given the 115 degree heat, a refreshing Pitaya bowl and green smoothie (detoxifier) sounded like the perfect travel companions for the ride back. The Pitaya bowl was topped with strawberries and blueberries, and decent. The pitaya came from a frozen, pre-made mix which I can't really blame them for since I imagine it might be a little difficult to keep a fresh supply of Pitaya/dragon fruit on hand. The "detoxifier" (spinach, red grapes, pineapple, cucumber, ginger, and lemon) was also pretty decent as they seemed to know just the right amount of ginger and lemon to add to make the juice zesty and refreshing. Overall, the drink/pitaya bowl was pretty good and reasonably priced. However, the service was pretty horrendous (and it usually has to be pretty bad for me to comment). I walked into the store excited and happy to finally satisfy my smoothie craving and was "greeted" (more like glared at), by a young girl who looked like she would rather drive a nail through her hand then serve me. Needless to say, her attitude was almost bad enough to make me lose my appetite and walk out, but with the 21/2 hour drive ahead of me, I put up with her terrible attitude and placed my order anyways. The reason why I give Juice it Up 2 stars is because of the customer service. My husband and I went to Juice it Up to get bowls and there was a misunderstanding with the Cashier and I. Her tone of voice was very unprofessional, she had a horrible attitude. I had to tell her to not give me attitude. I couldn't even order my bowl anymore because of how upset I was. Management needs to train their employees on customer service skills. I will not go there again. read more

They weren't ready when we arrived to pick them up so it wasn't because they sat. They were just melted. For $9.50 a bowl you should at least get a better consistency. The are only two reasons for giving one star: one I have too and two the smoothie itself was good. While the cashier was flirting with a customer, I was not greeted nor order taken by any of the four workers that were there. I waited 5 minutes until the cashier had completed her flirting then waited an extra ten while my smoothie was made. Bear in mind the whole place was dead with only me and the "flirtee". Must say it was the worse Juice It Up I have been to and they have loss my business. Shame especially with the competition getting thicker. read more

Employees are rude and don't want to work. We walked in a couple minutes before closing when the open sign was on and the door was open and the employee working refused to serve us even though they were technically still open and she was also serving another customer. I have been coming here since it opened and it is soooooooooo good! The employees are always so helpful and nice and greet you with a smile! I am in love with their Ever Green Smoothie and one day one of the gals there named Kat helped me create my very own version. Because I try and stay away from sugar she created a special mix of Lemon Juice, Kale, Spinach, NSA yogurt, apple juice, honey, and pineapple. OMG... so freaking good and really super healthy! I have turned my daughter on to their smoothie's and now I have to get one for her every time I go! YUMMY! They also have great fruit bowls and different shots of juice for energy. Picked up my boys from after school wrestling practice. Thought I'd treat them to some smoothies. Went to the front counter and ordered the girl rang me up charged my card then asked if I wanted a receipt. I said no thanks (first mistake). I handed her my rewards card for my points (second mistake) not sure what she did but she told me she couldn't add my points because she had already charged me. I said ok fine. Then the manager/owner Jeremy came out and they start doing something to the register then calls me over and said that they had credited my card and needed me to pay again. I said ok just give me the receipt showing that you credit my card. After about 20min of "TRYING" to print out my credit receipt they said that they couldn't do it and didn't know why something about the computer not letting them do it. But that my kids couldn't get their smoothies because he needs to be PAID first. So I said I did pay and you can't prove that you credit me so now what?? Now here is where the awful customer service come to play. The OWNER goes to the back for another 15-20min doing who's knows what. I start talking to other customers because I had been there for 30min waiting for my smoothies or my money back. The girl at the register looked over at me and TOLD me "can you just stop talking to other customers" I said why? Do you not want other people to know how badly you treat your customers? While I waited I called my card and it did show a charge of $11.90. Finally the owner resurfaced and now changed his story telling me that my charge never went thru the first time(remember I had already called and knew they charged me) So I told him that I knew they charged me and that I didn't understand why he is willing to lose customers over $11. After more customers came in and he stood there denying that they charged me after I knew he did- 45min of arguing. I think he finally realized that he looked like he was trying to scam me in front of other people. I told him that I won't leave until he gives me a refund or my stuff I paid for. Finally gave my 2 boys (7yrs old and 11yr old) their smoothies. Unbelievable- unprofessional and could care less about his customers. I will NEVER go there again.
