On your right is a wooden wagon loaded with raw cashews, almonds, flax seeds, and bananas for your snacking pleasure. Over the counter area, there's a autographed Ray Rice jersey framed- which was a gift for their grand opening. I had the Varicose Veins drink- which is basically garlic, carrots, celery, and parsley blended together. Supposedly good for the heart and veins, the drink was very fresh, perhaps too fresh for someone who's never that sort of drink. The garlic burned my chest and I never drank parsley before, but I definitely felt re energized after the drink. I had a shot of wheatgrass juice, which is cut and blended right in front of you. After downing the juice, I can see why they serve it as shots rather than large drinks. The gentleman behind the counter gave me a complimentary serving of the Armageddon, which is honey, peanuts, peanut butter, and soy oats. It's supposed to give you a huge protein boost and the drink is bursting with flavor. Down side is it's pretty cold in the juice bar, so you usually want to just chug your juice and run out. The service was decent- staff seemed knowledgeable of drinks, but not overly eager or friendly. Huge plus is all the products are organic and fresh. It was a beautiful day for juice, so a friend and I hopped on the 6 train to check out Styles P's new juice joint in the Bronx. Things of note: 1. it doesn't take long to get there from Union Square 2. everyone was sooooooooooo nice 3. there is a "no food" rule - because the staff does not want to clean up the crumbs left behind 4. One of the teens who worked there escorted me to the bathroom, and opened the door for me 5. There is a very extensive menu - lots of fruits and veg to choose from, and there are juices for every ailment (obesity, stress, acne, indigestion, etc) I had the "Ape Juice" - pineapple, lemon, and apple for $4.50. I've been going here for over 5 years. The customer service is great. If one of the smoothies doesn't have enough of one flavor, they will add more at no additional cost. Very accommodating. Friendly staff and their juice are delicious. I get the wheatgrass, G5 and the morning rush. I live in Westchester now and wish they had a location near me, but they do have one in Yonkers. It's filled with beets, carrots, ginger, and pear. On my second trip I brought along some teens who happened to be writing a review for the June/July issue of CARTER™ Magazine. This place is usually busy with people. I'm sure they make great juices. But I have been to many places and by average it's not difficult to make a juice out a fresh ingredients. From my experience the two types of juices I drank were both bad tasting because they were made in such a rush. One of them actually got me sick, but I didn't know that was on my part for being allergic to certain vegetables. The reason I'm giving this business one star is because of the lack of good customer service skills. The moment I asked one of employees that I didn't really like the juice he threw a fit. (He's the brown young man who is flamboyant) He had the nastiest attitude, I felt like I wasn't being nasty nor speaking down to him. I simply asked to make the juice sweeter since it had too much ginger for me. Instead of him just fixing the issue he decides to whisper something to another employee so she can fix the juice. I personally felt like he was a clear example of why businesses in the Bronx can't aspire to grow. He's the face of the business and he simply can't be a professional. For what reason?
