Wanted seafood and what better choice than a boil. I went with combo 1 (snow crab, shrimp, sausage, boiled eggs, potatoes, corn on the cobb). The seasoning choice is next, I did the juicy (cajun, garlic butter, lemon pepper). And finally choose the heat. I went medium and you could feel slight heat, a step up to hot would have been ok. The boil itself was good. You must use the gloves and bib, don't worry about cool points you are there to eat. The flavors of the juicy was great and all the seafood was seasoned nicely. The corn was excellent. And service was super fast. The portions are good, I know snow crab is a challenge to get the meat since the legs are thin. The flavor was good with a lot of work. We've been to Juicy Seafood before during the week, but this time we visited on a Friday and it was packed! Thankfully, the restaurant is pretty spacious, so we were seated right away without a wait. We ordered our usual favorites: the fried pickles appetizer and a mild, Juicy Seafood boil with shrimp, potatoes, eggs, sausage, corn, and crab legs. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, just like every other visit. Even though the restaurant was much busier than usual, our waitress was friendly and attentive. When you automatically charge 18% per ticket on parties of 6 or more, the least you could do is serve your table. Instead we had to wait for cocktail sauce, drink refills, even our checks. One party member paid with a hundred dollar bill on a 60$ tab that included the tip and had to ask for his change because the waitress started waiting the table next to us. The food is mediocre at best. The shrimp looked exactly like what I've purchased at Sam's, as did the talapia. Didn't even bother to use the extra seasoning, the chopped fresh garlic in the butter was so flavorful on its own! Well I stopped in for a beer after being recommended by my sunset landing golf group. This restaurant was the old Chili's on university drive. Been there for a few years however I never had a reason to stop in Well I got the draft beer very reasonably priced. Then saw some of the foods offered. Came in a steaming bag! Wow I go for that. A few weeks ago I went on a business trip to Huntsville, Alabama. Close to my hotel there's this seafood place. Walked there one night to try it out. The place is nice and quite busy for a week day. The menu has many special feast for family, but for a single person like me is quite too much. So, I ordered some shrimps, fried oysters and onion rings. My appetizer oysters are excellent, the onion rings are crispy. Still a lot of food for one person. The Shrimps came out in a nice plastic bag with sauce in it, quite different. There are so many shrimps and the sauce is amazingly tasty. I couldn't take the shrimps back to the hotel, so I had to finish them all with corona was delicious. I do hate to eat shrimps with shell-on, but with this tasty spicy sauce, I would let my hands wet although they give me gloves. Yes, I had to wear an apron. I took some of the oysters and onion back to the hotel and had it for the next day, still good although not crispy. The owner said there's no other one like this in CA which I would love to take my family to try. Too bad. The service here is extremely good, attentive, fast and pleasant. This is a must try seafood restaurant if you ever stayed somewhere near here. I know I will again. The prices are very reasonable. read more

My wife and youngest son absolutely love this place!! They both love the sausage and shrimp, but he adds the crab to his bag of season. The food always comes out hot and it's seasoned very well. I've tried various items from here and I've never had a bad meal. Our 17 year old doesn't care for seafood and he gets the chicken wings with cajun fries. He enjoys them. The service has always been wonderful and friendly. The restaurant has tons of seafood decor throughout and is clean. Be prepared to spend anywhere from $12 to $40 per person depending on what you get That being said it is a good portion of food. Had dinner with family last night while vacationing in Huntsville for my nephew's birthday. We saw a sign on the way into town and everyone decided we needed crab legs for dinner. Overall, the food was good but sauce was not the best I've had at other places. Seemed just salty with hot sauce. Portion sizes were plenty and everyone left full. We all had the Wednesday special for $28.99 (1/2 lb of each - crab legs, shrimp, sausage and potatoes/corn) except for the two nephews. One had the weekend special since he wanted a lobster tail and the birthday boy had a chicken tenders kid's meal. Only complaint was one meal didn't come out and I believe the manager or similar came out to count our bags to make sure we actually was missing a meal. Seating was quick and easy. They were moderately busy. The atmosphere was fair, but it seems cheap when you look around...it isn't quite Red Lobster or Landry's if you know what I mean (that could be a good thing, depending on your taste). The layout is largely unchanged from Chili's. It has been renovated, but unless you knew that it was Chili's you wouldn't think twice about it. The cost of the food is roughly comparable to the higher end places, though, and they could have always went rustic instead of clinical...Captain D's has a better atmosphere, so I subtract one star. It took them a while to take our drink order, but with staffing problems all over the area...I am thankful they are open and trying, so I gladly overlook that. The menu holds true to the name...and you can see this is a chain. It isn't exactly local home-town, but that's okay. The waiter made some good recommendations to save money...he took my daughter's custom order and made it into more of a combo. If I was a teenager, "the juicy" pale would have been going home with me. They almost get a cool star for that, but not so fast... We ordered Catfish, Snow Crab, Shrimp, Onion Rings, and Hush Puppies. It took about 10 minutes to get the food to the table. Impressive! Presentation was nice. They messed up my conservative order of Catfish...I wound up with Shrimp (I can't do shellfish//I am moderately allergic//I was here for my daughter). I didn't see a waiter again until my daughter said "I'm full." I will look past this with grace, again. I should have looked closely at the plate when he sat it down. I had asked for ketchup when I ordered and the waiter dropped three squeeze packets for my mound of fried food. Minus another star for being stingy. My daughter ate my shrimp, her shrimp, and her crab. She said the crab was good. It was so "juicy" that the seafood cracker slipped around and she had trouble getting to the meat, though. The shrimp report was "so-so." As for me, I had the onion rings and my sweet tea. As I mentioned, they never came around again for me to correct my order, but my daughter ate it so it wasn't a total loss. My plastic cup of tea stayed empty for most of the time I worked on my onion rings...they should have a refill station or something if they can't staff. Minus another star for inattention to detail in general. Total bill for two without tip was $47. He gave the bill to my daughter. I won't deduct points for inexperience because they are already low for inattention to detail. My assessment...this is a two to three star joint because of service management, and my scale was lenient in case they were short-staffed. Oh boy, what a lunch!! It was delicious for my partner and I. I ordered the catfish basket and my guy ordered the oyster basket. Mine was with fries, his with onion rings which was a 1$ extra. We were so pleased with the portions and the quality of both lunches! The fish and oysters were cooked perfectly. The French fries were delicious as were the onion rings. We were instructed to wait in our vehicles until we received a call informing us to come in to be seated. I thought that the value of the seafood boil was fair, and as to be expected for local seafood. Hushpuppies were doughy and the fried calamari was bland. The seafood boil was pretty good and had a good flavor to it. Our server was super friendly, but service was sloooow and we found ourselves asking for a few things (condiments, napkins, silverware), multiple times before we actually received them. Last Sunday after doing a little shopping, Kathy and I wanted something different or just to try somewhere else. We had previously seen the restaurant but Covid has it take out only at that time. Kathy checked and they were dine in. We got there, we're promptly seated and the server was quickly getting our drink order. That way we could share and have some of each. The meals were delivered and our server was great. Everything was cooked to perfection. Not overdone and the spices gave it a super kick. It reminded me of New Orleans gumbo, jambalaya or étouffée because it was pretty spicy but we liked it a lot. After we asked our server made several suggestions with meal prep with left overs etc. When we were full he prepped our "to go" portions and we headed home. The next night Kathy fixed rice added some shrimp to the sausage/shrimp we had. Then put it all together with the juicy sauce we had left and enjoyed it all over again. If you love seafood boils as much as I do this place is a must. Kash was our server and she went out of her way to be sure we were happy and had everything we wanted. I love how the inside is decorated. So many sea inspired wall hangings to look at while you wait on your food. There is even a pirate and a shark greeting you at the entrance. Made for a fun beginning to a great lunch. We started with hush puppies and calamari. I can never eat an entire meal and crab legs aren't great leftover. My dad and I split the lunch combo with 1/2 pound of crab legs, 1/2 pound of shrimp, two potatoes, two eggs, and corn on the cob. It all came piping hot in the bag it was boiled in.
