The mushroom soup was outstanding as was the bluebird salad and the brown butter coconut cookie.

Our family was heading to Hubtsville to look at the trees in Tinsel Trail. This was only a 9 minute…read morewalk to the park. The menu looked tempting, so we gave it a shot. I have 4 teenagers and they can be very picky. But it was a win! Between all of us we had the Buffalo chicken sandwich, chicken pesto sandwich, meatloaf sandwich, 3 amigo sandwich and the rockadoodle sandwich. The portions are large, tater tots and fries were crispy. Just how we like them. I decided to get a drink from the bar. Whenever I can, I like a lemon drop martini. The server suggested the black berry lemon drop martini and it was delicious. The service was good, even though the place was pretty busy since it was a Friday night. Our food came out pretty quickly. They have a huge menu, which will temp us to go back. Note: they add 20% gratuity to a party of 6 or more.

Really a cheese forward sandwich place…read more I had the mac n egg roll and 3 amigos. The mac n egg roll was very good. A perfect crispy fry stuffed with mac n cheese. There were at least 2 kinds of cheese and the asian dipping sauce was also good. The egg rolls couldn't quite make up for the 3 amigos. I was excited for the chorizo, jalapeno jack cheese, over easy egg and ham. I couldn't taste the chorizo or jalapeno jack. It really felt like a ham and egg with a mild cheese. Definitely wanted the spice you anticipate with the chorizo and jack.

Asked for no onions on the classic chicken, got plenty of onions. I also order the Italian with mayo and onions. Got it with no mayo nor onions. The bread was very hard and somewhat stale. The fries were either very overcooked or they were very old. Ordered the kids meatball sandwich. Literally 3 little tomatoes were the sauce. Forgot the chips with the kids meal. Tried to call them but they close at 7. Just done with the place. Back to Jersey Mikes I go!

We arrived after 1 and the restaurant had 2 customers. We were warmly greeted and placed a to go order. The restaurant is very clean. The footlong Authentic Italian hits all flavor profiles for an Italian sub. Both of us cannot eat enough of the Authentic Italian. The combination of meats complement each other very well. Our favorite sub here. 5/5 We tried a footlong Chicken Bomb this time. I loved it. To me, the chicken tasted so much better. Both of us were surprised at how delicious the chicken was since the Steak is the most popular sub. 5/5 I signed up my first visit to be a rewards member. I was able to get $5 off my order yesterday. I earned points and my next visit I will get another $5 off. What a deal. If you like subs, grinders or hoagies, please stop by and give this locally owned restaurant a try. The Authentic Italian is the bomb to us!!! 5/5

This restaurant is located…read moreinside the Botanical Gardens but you don't need to pay to eat here, it's located next to the gift shop. Sometimes the food venue in a place like this can be terrible and over priced -- this isn't the case with Fern & Feast Bistro. The food selection here is pretty decent, sandwiches, tacos, salads, burgers, flatbreads etc, most in the $9-12 range. They have some kid options (chicken nuggets, grilled chese, quesadilla, etc) for picky eaters at $6 each. Downside is that the sandwiches etc don't come with fries or chips, so that could increase your meal price. I ordered the Uber sandwich because I feel like that is a good gauge of how the food will be and is pretty standard at most restos. Mine was served relatively quick on an environmentally friendly plate made if recycle paper products (I don't care all that much but I know some people will appreciate that touch). Club was delicious, but make sure to grab mustard and mayo. Bread was toasted just the right amount; it had some char but was not too dry or crunchy. Lettuce and tomato were fresh, and the proportions and amounts of the turkey, ham and beacon was great. But the best reason to come to this place is the scenery. From the back of the narrow seating area you can grab a seat that looks out over the Botanical Gardens or of you keep going back they have outdoor seating available. The weather was wonderful today and so I ate my sandwich on the patio taking in nature and avoiding the man with three children who all needed discipline in their life inside. If you're looking for a place to stop and relax with decent food while the weather is good - this is your place. Give it a shot!
