Perfect nutritious and satisfying lunch! The Pura Vida bowl hits all the right spots and is perfectly balanced. I love the sweet, caramelized plantains in it which are just like a bonus dessert. Great healthy spot in JP! I was super happy to find this spot while spending the day in the area. They've got the usual smoothies, açaí bowls, etc, but they have a number of really unique offerings, too. Their warm bowls are beautiful, the salads are fantastic (especially the Caesar!), and they even have arepas! (I didn't try those but still thought it was cool) The interior is really nice, too. Pretty small, but lots of cute decorations and a cozy seating area up a couple of stairs. I'll definitely be back many times over try more of vegan creations. read more

I really like the food here. I've even sprinted before closing to grab food. I've ordered...a stupid amount of food from there because everything is fresh and delicious. The acai bowls are stupid good, and where else in JP can you get authentic arepas? Which, would typically lead me to give a place 4 stars. However....service just kills me. Generally, they're a bit slow, but there's usually only 1, MAYBE 2 people making food, and they're friendly enough, so I don't mind. BUT, if you open at 8, open at 8. Be ready to take orders at 8. I had no food at home, drove out of my way, and planned to order 4 meals for the rest of the day. Now, I know that would've taken time to prep, and I had the time to wait. But if I'm there at 8.10 and the place isn't ready to go....and I have to go down the road to a second rate alternative....I'm going to be pretty mad. And I'm going to be very unlikely to go back there. This is just a really, really unfortunate outcome. I can't go back to a place that doesn't honor it's own hours (this is NOT a dig at the lovely woman who was there prepping. This is a management issue). Customer service initially wasn't great, but the owners went above and beyond to make everything right there. Genuinely above and beyond. It's one of my favorite restaurants in Boston. I literally go here on Monday's to replace my meat addiction and it's amazing. My gf loves it too. I think I just needed to understand that no one is ever on their A game all the time. Feeling inclined to leave this review because I would have rather passed on the opportunity to be a guest here. I got the Cuban Mojito smoothie, which sounded yummy on the menu but was actually the worst smoothie I've ever had before. It was not even slightly cold and tasted like bad savory soup... not even sure how that was accomplished. My friend got the açaí-base smoothie and it was also room temp and tasted bad, not sweet or refreshing in the slightest. If warm gross smoothies are your thing then consider coming here, otherwise save yourself the pain of tossing a full $10 smoothie. read more

I can't believe today was my first visit to Juicygreens - trust me it will not be the last! I had a Tropical Sun smoothie which reminded me of a beach, my sister had the Cuban Mojito smoothie and the mint was great in that! I also couldn't help but order a bowl and tried the Pura Vida - it was amazing! And huge! The staff was super helpful and they are taking safety precautions during this time (masks required, social distancing enforced etc). Went for the first time today and was thoroughly impressed! JP needed more health food focused places and this definitely does the job. The staff is super friendly and offered me samples of their fresh pressed juices and filled My Mediterranean salad over the top of the bowl (I hope the portions stay this generous). Aside from chick peas or black beans there isn't any option to add protein such as tofu, hummus, eggs or chicken which would make the salad more of a meal. The waffles (gluten free, vegan) are AMAZING but only served until 2pm. The smoothies, juice, and açai bowls are fantastic. I'm OBSESSED with their carrot muffins (gluten free, vegan) and could eat every day, and my friend is obsessed with their 1 other baked good, the "breakfast cookie" (it is good! and gluten free, vegan). Honestly I don't like the savory food bowl/salad type food very much, but that could just be me. Taking this from another review, so true: they are overwhelmed easily. You can wait inside for a long time before getting to order at the cash register. If you order online, they will usually call you that they are sold out of something you ordered and you have to change your order. It's quite unpredictable. You can get your stuff in less than 2 minutes, or they can forget about your order altogether (from online, in person, doesn't matter). It's not that it's slow per se, it's either reasonably fast or kind of a total miss. It's a quirk i'm willing to put up with for the items mentioned above. read more

Overpriced smoothies and food, with inconsistent quality. I've gotten the Zen Bowl a few times, and the "roasted" chickpeas are sometimes just straight-up burnt (see photo). Acai bowls are ok but pretty soupy. Coffee is bad. The service is sloooow, and they get backed up and overwhelmed very easily. If I could give zero stars I would. The food is okay, but nothing I couldn't make on my own. The service makes the food even less convincing to come back here. I was first 'greeted' by a woman behind the counter with dark long hair, in which she told me to just let her know when I was ready to order. No 'hi, how are you?', any menu suggestions- none of that. I then approached the counter after a few minutes of looking and she took the order, said just a few minutes and once the order was completed she didn't even have the decency to walk in over to the 10 feet away which I was sitting. Now I'm not sure if this establishment isn't used to people that look like me coming in, but I felt like a piece of gum on the bottom of a shoe with the way in which she extended her arm so far out as if she was going to catch a disease if she came any closer. I then asked for utensils and a paper bag, in which she simply pointed vaguely to where they kept them stored. I have genuinely never felt so blatantly disrespected despite the fact that I paid for a new experience. Oh well. read more

Juicygreens is my favorite health food restaurant in JP! I've had many of their sweet and savory bowls and a few of their smoothies and everything has been great! I find that with most health food restaurants I leave still hungry, but the food at Juicygreens is not only delicious but also filling! They also have a bit of a unique Latin twist on some of their menu items making their dishes unique. Their prices are high but on par with other places. And the vibe is so nice! Fun but not too loud, and so unique. Their staff goes above and beyond to make sure that your experience is exceptional, mixing around ingredients if necessary for preferences or other reasons. I have a strawberry allergy, and every time I go their they not only make sure that's taken care of but they also add extra different fruits to make up for the lack of strawberries. There's one woman (I can't remember her name but she's usually there weekdays midday) who is excellent and goes above and beyond to make sure that my bowl is filling and healthy while still accommodating my allergy. She's super nice and never fails to make sure I leave happy! The only thing that they could improve is getting more seating because sometimes it's so busy there are no tables left over. I think that when the weather gets nicer this won't be an issue though because more people will be able to sit outside on the beautiful little patio. Overall love this place! read more

Adorable place with lots of indoor greenery (which I love). I was pretty excited to check out all the veg options here, but honestly the first (and lasting) impressions I have of it are not great. The menu was so expensive - which would be one thing if the food and service were great, but they weren't. There was only one person in front of me in line but it somehow took 10 minutes for them to take my order. After another 10-15 minutes I got my order, which was very bland and meh. If you want great taste, great nutrition; maybe even live longer, (I don't know) you gotta try their Well Rooted plate. It's packed with so much stuff I challenge you to say it didn't fill you up. I go there for it regularly; and every time I get it, I think it was the best one I ever had (LOL) When you dig your fork into it, it's like you keep discovering more healthy things in it. It's got spinach, warm quinoa, sweet potato, sauteed mushrooms, roasted sweet potatoes, shredded beets, cucumber-dill, tamari almonds, garlic cilanto aioli dressing. Ok, I had to peek a little at their menu ("Hey, I'm 66 years old. Give me a break. That's a lot of food to remember") I aways get it with their guacamole spread on top. (mmm) The other thing I love about this place is the freshness of everything they serve; and speaking about serving, their staff is amazingly nice and friendly. I'm no stranger to real good vegan/plant-based restaurants, but Juicy Greens is the "Top Of The Heap" as Frank Sinatra would say. (Who's Frank Sinatra???? I signed up for Yelp just to write this review. The food is INCREDIBLE. The service is TERRIBLE. Seriously, the worst I've ever experienced, anywhere, consistently. The staff are unfriendly and often flustered to an extent that I feel uncomfortable ordering from them. Orders take so long that a few times, I've had to check in on them to make sure they didn't forget about me. Napkins and water are always running low, and I don't know if they ever clean the seating area. Since they take so long to prepare food, I have started calling ahead. Today, I called, the guy answered, and immediately said, "Please hold," which is normally fine, but I was then on hold for 5 minutes, until I gave up. The worst part was that I think he placed the phone directly next to the blender, because I could hear insanely loud blending the whole time. I had to hold the phone far away from my ear. This experience sums up my take on their customer service: it's as though they read a bunch of guidelines for best practices, and then proceeded to do the opposite. As though they're trying to make the experience unpleasant. Honestly, I'm so disappointed with this place. Their food and mission are really great. Their service cancels it out. read more

This place is the spirit of gentrification. Small iced coffee is more than $5, has no ice, tastes like absolutely nothing special, is not available in decaf. Oh sorry, you probably wouldn't have bought it if you knew we were going to charge that, but it doesn't say the price anywhere and we don't tell you until after we've started pouring it. Staff is doing you a favor just by being open today. Would you like a bowl of sugar? It has buzzwords like acai and turmeric so it must be good for you. Sure it tastes meh, but just guess how much you'll be charged for each bite. Also, here is some twee decor consisting of tiny teacups and statuettes and such, plus tons more sugar for sale--but it has other buzzwords like organic and matcha so it must also be good for you. The salad combinations are spectacular. I tried the overnight oats and even those were delicious. My biggest issue, of which a number of my friends experienced as well, is the lack of customer service/friendly hospitality at this establishment. Everyone is so focused on making a salad or smoothie they literally do not acknowledge your existence. The only time they exchange words or even a simple smile is when you're at the register ordering and paying. Even when you're standing deciding what to get....absolutely no communication.
