I will say I had a great experience with hair/makeup and dress but photography was such a horrible experience. We saw sample pictures beforehand and decided to go with Rahel but the pictures we actually got were no where near what we were given. I will preface and say that we were pre-warned that we were double booked that day and were not going to get the main photographer,however, I am not just upset at the quality of photos but just the lack of professionalism that followed. We ended up taking studio photos that day with the main photographer which actually were edited and came out nice, however, the pictures taken at the venue were terrible with the other photographers. Many of the pictures looked like we were inside a club due to horrible flash. Many pictures we were washed out with flash directly in our faces. Not just that but barely none were edited. We just got a photo dump of nearly 7 gbs of just raw pictures. We hired photography to get professional pictures but we just ended up with a photo dump of just raw photos and terrible ones at that. The worst part is I tried emailing the group about my concerns 3 times with NO response and am just amazed at their unprofessionalism with their clients. I guess once they have your money they just have no regard for you. If at least there was some dialogue about the situation I don't think I would have been as upset but the fact that before the wedding they were very responsive to the silence that followed afterwards is just what is very upsetting.

There was flooding in both bathrooms during the event, and the bartender was not only rude but also failed to properly serve the guests. In fact, my family and friends ended up doing much of the work themselves. We had pre-made lemon drops, and family members and guests helped serve them and add the dry ice because the bartender was often unavailable. To make matters worse, the bar was not even set up on time. The security guard was also ineffective. He was rarely at the door, and I actually had to go looking for him when it was time for my daughter's grand entrance so the smoke effect could be coordinated. It left me wondering what his role was supposed to be. The venue owner seemed more interested in collecting money than providing quality customer service. We understand that this is a business, but the fees were excessive, and there seemed to be an extra charge for everything. There were so many rules and restrictions that it made the planning process unnecessarily stressful. The biggest issue was the security deposit. After the event was over, a disagreement occurred across the street from the venue--not on the venue's property. Nothing happened inside the venue, and the event had already ended. One of the staff members called the police, but the officers never even got out of their vehicles because there was no serious incident taking place. Despite that, the owner had security record the disagreement and later used it as a reason to keep the deposit. What makes this even more frustrating is that she did not communicate this decision right away. She spoke with my daughter, who hosted the event, but waited nearly two weeks before informing her that the deposit would not be returned. If you are considering booking this venue, make sure you read the contract carefully and pay close attention to the fine print. The space is nice, but in our experience, the customer service, staff professionalism, and management were very disappointing. Unfortunately, the venue owner's actions came across as more focused on money than customer satisfaction.

Her assistant cancelled last minute, understandable. But this is where professionalism plays a big part. As a person who is not in the industry, even I know it is common sense to have someone on standby for such hiccups. She was accommodating to me when it came to my nerves, however that not the only thing I needed accommodations for. A little tip, a client never wants to see her Coordinator feeling bombarded or flustered. This experience was not worth our money.

I would say one big reason is because of Shirley who was there with us every step of the day. I knew I wanted a day of coordinators who are not only bilingual, but also know the Chinese wedding customs. We had many Chinese guests and family members who did not speak English, and this was the first wedding of parents from both sides. I wanted to make sure we have a good time, and our parents are also well taken care of since we will be too busy to tend to them. We had all our vendors booked before hiring Shirley so we booked the classic package. For this package, Shirley started working with us about 6 weeks before the wedding. She introduced herself to our vendors and made sure they had the itinerary before the wedding, attended zoom meeting with us when requested, and she was quick to respond to our requests and questions. Our wedding included elements from both Chinese and Western weddings, it was a 14-hour day including getting ready, gatecrashing, two tea ceremonies, photoshoots, a first look, ceremony, a quick first dance practice, receptions, and three dress changes (7a-11 pm)! With so much to do, we had a tight itinerary, and Shirley made sure the right people was at the right place at the right time so we are on schedule. She communicated with our wedding party on what's next on the itinerary, and guided our parents through the itinerary. Shirley did a mini rehearsal with our parents for the ceremony and reception introduction on the day, and made sure they were there to see our first look through the window without interrupting our own moments.
