The Fried Chicken is authentic with a lovely crunch, side of Brussel sprouts was my favorite I've ever had served in the cutest little cast iron pan, we started with the Deviled Duck Eggs-perfection and had the Venison Meatballs as well so rich with flavor in an amazing sauce. We had an AMAZING experience at this new-ish restaurant. Angie, our server, was a big part of our enjoyment. When you're seated, they deliver hot cornbread muffins - so yummy! We went for happy hour with reduced price appetizers ($9 each). We shared fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grit bites. Both were cooked perfectly and would 10/10 recommend. My friend had the pork chop ($29). So glad she let me taste it as this is probably the best pork chop I've ever had and will definitely be my order next time. I had the short rib ($28) which was very tasty with creamy mashed potatoes and crispy onion straws. I felt the gravy with it was a bit too salty, but otherwise it was delicious. We also ordered green beans ($10) to share - buttery and cooked just right. My friend had cinnamon bourbon ($5) and a glass of wine ($7). I had a whisky sour ($15 which wasn't on the happy hour menu). The drinks were less of a high point than the food When we got our to-go boxes, Angie also gave us each large portions of cornbread muffins - what a lovely touch! Great spot with a menu that has a ton of options. The happy hour prices were reasonable, $5 drafts and $9 starters. We started with the fried green tomatoes topped with pimento cheese, which were excellent. The pork chop was impressively thick and cooked perfectly, and the cornbread stuffing side was extremely flavorful. The chicken cutlet caesar was huge and could easily be shared. They also have a cheeseburger and fries special for $5 on Tuesdays from 11am-3:30pm. Overall, a very solid meal with generous portions and good pricing. Would definitely come back. read more

Food (4/5): We started with drinks and I thought the Old Fashioned was on point - it was sweet, but not too sweet. The fried chicken was by far the best of the three entrees we tried - we had 4 pieces of delicious fried chicken. The truffle Mac and cheese was some of the best that I have ever had! That alone was worth the visit! My only complaint was that we discovered the fries on the bottom of the bucket of chicken about halfway through the meal and by the time we got it, they were smashed and cold...I wish these were served separately in a basket and this would make this one of the best values out there. My friend had the spicy avocado burger which looked good. She got a side salad and it looked like a solid meal. My other friend got the shrimp and grits. I liked that it was "soupy" - the shrimp was great. We asked for extra corn bread (they were small little mini cornbread that came as an appetizers.) It was covered in green and red peppers, though and I am not a fan of peppers at all. Service (5/5): The server was kind. Ambiance (3/5): The place is cute, but on a Sat night the noise level was so loud that I could not hear my table mates from across the booth. Tried this place for Sunday brunch. The place is made for bar experience and happy hours. Tried the Nashville Hot Sandwich. Sadly the sandwich was disappointing. We also had tried an appetizer - also disappointing. The tallow fries were probably the best part of the brunch - tasted more like boardwalk fries. I'll probably try their happy hour. Solid 4 out 5. Good beef dishes at a reasonable price. Cornbread muffins are great. Love the brussel sprouts with bacon. The only downside is on the drinks. The Maple Pecan Julep while tasty had way too much ice in it. And for a Kentucky themed restaurant I would expect a large bourbon selection/focus that is not there. Service was excellent. I normally don't like to leave bad reviews, but this one really needs attention. I went for dinner on April 18. The service was good, I was seated right away. The food was mediocre. I had the fried chicken with a few sides. My favorite part was the Apple pie Mason jar. On Monday. May 11th I arrived from a trip and checked their closing time via Google, which said midnight. Delighted I figured I'd give them another try and order a couple of other items on their menu. I walked into Juleps at 1015 and the host, a young man told me the kitchen closed at 9:30. He proceeded to tell me the bar was not serving any more drinks either. I told him Google has them open until midnight which he paid no mind to and stated they were closed. For clarity, on their opening and closing times I called the restaurant today May 14 to confirm their hours. The hostess answered the phone. After her going around in circles as to what time they closed, continuously pausing, sounded like she was asking people around her as to what time they were going to close today she provided a time 11. I proceeded to ask her name in which she responded, I am just a hostess here. I told her I understood that, and if she could provide her name. She stayed quiet and hung up on me. I called back and this time a young man answered the phone with hello. He did not say the name of the restaurant when answering the phone. I explained the hostess hung up on me and he too stayed silent. I told him I had asked the hostess her name and again he stayed silent. I then proceeded to tell him I could go in and talk to the manager, but I'd prefer to just confirm here. (If they were speaking the truth I do not see what the reason was for not providing a name or even getting a manager to help. Truly lacking social and customer service skills). In looking over the reviews it seems like they have quite a bit of bad ones. I would think the managers might care especially being a new restaurant. It's too bad because I was really looking forward to this new spot. We were thinking of having luncheons there for work as well. Due to their lack of professionalism, extremely poor customer service, making up their own times for service, mediocre food experience and frankly, I think they just did not want to serve me that Monday. Came for brunch one Saturday morning with three of my friends. The restaurant is spacious and the decor is on brand with the Kentucky vibe. They have a variety of seating options from booths, to bar stools, to arm chairs, and regular chairs. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. I liked how they offered us some seasoned popcorn while we decided what to order. We decided to get a few dishes and share all of it, family style. We got the hot honey bourbon wings and the wings. The sauce was unique and delicious. The fried green tomatoes were a hit for everyone at our table. Chicken and waffles were pretty standard. Short rib hash was flavorful and tender. Eggs on top cooked perfectly. The tallow fries could have been crispier, but they very well seasoned, and I couldn't stop sticking my hand in the basket for more! Visited for happy hour and so happy that I did. We sad at the bar and received great service. Restaurant is a pub-like design, very spacious, clean and ample seating. We wanted to try a little of everything and were pleased with our selections. The popcorn was a nice treat as we waited for our food. The shrimp and grit bites as well as the wings were good. But the star of the show was the short rib grilled cheese. It came with a garlic aioli which was good but I also added bbq sauce and that made it even better! Ok, been here several times. They have gotten a lot better since my first time here on opening day. The food is tastier, and finally cooked hot enough. The service has gotten better, even though it's still a bit slow. I don't know if it's a lack of kitchen staff or servers, but on Friday night it seemed that every few minutes one item would come out. It took 45 min for an appetizer. I saw a social media advertisement and we thought we'd give it a go. They said they'd only been open a month. Upbeat and polite staff. They started us off with complimentary popcorn that had their dry rub on it. Tasty! They say it's the same rub used on their chicken wings. After 4 at tables, they serve warm cornbread with honey butter. So, so darn good! I had the Trout with cornbread dressing. My husband had the Chicken Caesar salad. Both were fantastic. Large portions seasoned well. The Chicken Caesar had a huge chicken cutlet underneath the salad. I viewed other entrees people had. Portions were generous. And their fries, OMG they looked Our waiter gave great insight into many dishes. They serve brunch as well, and have weekday specials worth checking out for sure! They will be giving local restaurants a run for sure. Reservations suggested. Plenty of seating in the bar area and adjacent community tables. This was our first time here, being a new restaurant- we experienced great customer service, great price point for the food with lots of variety from the drinks to appetizers to main dishes. It had the basics you'd want but also a few interesting outliers. We enjoyed the baked Brie, fried green tomatoes, and shrimp and grit bites for appetizers- the shrimp and grit bites were a favorite. For entrees, we enjoyed the filet mignon, rib eye and cheese sandwich, fried chicken, and shrimp and grits. The filet was tender and cooked perfectly, sandwich was perfect if you like steak and cheese, shrimp and grits had an interesting mix of peppers that almost gave it a fajita Cajun vibe, and the fried chicken came with so much bang for your buck- fries, coleslaw, and to die for mac and cheese. My family has been here several times and always enjoyed everything we have tried. Their menu is evolving which has given us opportunities to try many dishes, which has been great! Tonight we had the crispy goat cheese appetizer with spicy honey - so incredibly tasty, with the heat and sweet combined. For entrees my son had fried chicken, which I normally do not indulge in but I make an exception for this place (he's consistently ordered and loved it every time we've been here). My husband always gets the shrimp and grits because he's so hooked on them. I tried the salmon salad with avocado, strawberries, sprouts and strawberry rhubarb vinaigrette. This is not my normal type of pick but it was fabulous, including that the salmon was so well prepared and delicious! The service is always great too, Lily was a great server! After spending a fair amount of time in Kentucky, we were happy to learn of this new restaurant. We ordered the fried chicken, which came with Gouda mac and cheese. We were very dissatisfied with the food! The fried chicken was extremely greasy, dark looking and had added hot spice. The mac and cheese also had hot spice added to it. True Kentucky southern style food does NOT come with added hot spices! Even the honey bourbon sauce had a jalapeño pepper on it! Regrettably, KFC makes better friend chicken! While we didn't try the shrimp and grits, it most likely was prepared with hot spices, the Cajun way, but NOT the Kentucky way. Conclusion: The restaurant is mis-named as the food is more Cajun than Kentucky. A positive was the corn bread. The service was average, but the ambience was delightful. read more

This is a damn good place to eat. So happy another joint came in after the Black Finn shut down. The menu is varied and pretty extensive. For people like me who just want to eat, this place is great. Service was outstanding and the price is reasonable. I don't know why restaurants at Loudoun Station fail but hoping this one stays around. Change things up now and then. Don't forget it's the taste, not the name. Keep your focus on great food and advice to the owners, don't farm out the responsibility of running the place. Only owners care more than anything. Have been several times since it opened. Found the food to be great and the service (previous bartenders) to be excellent. It just takes one bad service to ruin a good thing. Today, 3-10-26 after 2:50 pm was that one EXCEPTIONALLY BAD service. The bartender was very rude and disrespectful. If she was having a bad day she should have stayed home. Got up and left due to the hostile environment she created before I had a chance to even order a drink much less food! The manager just smirked and said 'Well this is the only complaint she's had'. This was our second time here. We went about a month ago and thought the service had a lot of problems. Well here we are a month later and the place has problems. The waitress was pretty fast to great us and take our drink order. We must have waited 20 minutes for the drinks to come out. And they weren't worth the wait. First time in 20 years I've seen an old fashioned served with little ice cubes. Either chug it or you have a glass of watered down bourbon. Pretty sad for a place that wants to be a bourbon bar. At least they mix well. My wife's martini was a complete disaster. Had ice in it and olive juice but no olives. She complained it also had a metallic taste. I will say the food was good. But because the service is just so lacking I had to give 2 stars. Ironically we thought they were just slow because of having what seemed 1 untrained waitress running around, but. I honestly don't remember the last time I've had such an awful experience at a restaurant. From the get-go it was just bizarre. We made reservations, thinking on a Saturday at lunch, it would be crowded. Our first red flag should've been the fact that it was empty. We got seated and sat for a while before our waitress came over, and there was something off about the lady; she was not with it. She talked so quietly, and didn't seem to know wha the heck was going on. We heard there were $3 mimosas, so we ordered one each (there were 2 of us, waiting on extra company to join). We got them and they were ok, but for $3 we drank them and then ordered the pretzel appetizer. The appetizer comes out completely burnt. But that's 'just how it is.' We end up ordering another mimosa each, and wait about 15m before she comes back to tell us the tap isn't working. Prosecco, on tap. At this point, I'm just confused as to why that means no more mimosas, so I ask her if they can just make one with Prosecco and orange juice so she goes back to the bartender and doesn't come back for another 10 to 15 minutes to inform us that no we can't do that but he said he could do rosé and we say sure that's fine. She disappears again for another 10 to 15 minutes and come back and ask if we want anything else and we say oh yeah the mimosa with rosé she disappears again for another 10 to 15 minutes at this point comes back empty-handed and we just ask for the check. She seems entirely clueless to the fact as we're leaving even though we had ordered three times a drink that never arrived. I would absolutely not go back. I don't see this place lasting much longer just based on the service, the food and the lack of patrons. read more

She took a while between every run and didn't check on us, never brought out a dish that appeared on our bill , and overall didn't really interact with the table much and was really unenthusiastic and dismissive.
