Returned to Jules recently, and I believe that they are keeping up the standards at the Doylestown location. First of all, they have wifi, which makes this a place where you can work and have lunch. You have to ask for the pwd, but it is available. Second, they have begun adding more pie combinations, and allowing the seasonal ingredients to drive them. I had a great summer squash pie ! Fresh & local zucchini ribbons, organic squash blossoms, chopped garlic cracked black pepper on a white mozzarella base with a dollop of ricotta cheese. Definitely deserve more consideration. Ate here last night with my wife and son. My wife and son had a cheese pizza (my son does not like toppings), and I had a goat cheese salad. My salad was great. All of the ingredients are organic and the salad tasted great. My only complaint is that they had not pepper available which I found strange for a Pizza place. Jules Thin Crust is aptly named. The pizza is made with a super thin cracker-like crust and it is soooo good. Today I had a slice of the veggie #9 (Mexican). It reminded me of a tostada. The crust is spread with spicy refried black beans and topped with a small amount of cheese, tomatoes, fresh cilantro, chipotle sour cream, red onions & scallions. They have creative veggie and meat combinations to choose from (by the slice or pie). Slices are reasonably priced at $3.33 each. Natural iced teas and sodas are available by the bottle. I'm originally from Newtown and loved visiting the Newtown location but recently I moved to Chalfont. After finding out about their Doylestown location, my dad and I decided to stop in and get a full pie. My personal favorite was always buffalo chicken so we got a large buff chick and a medium chicken lime pizza. The service was very quick and the girl working there was very nice but seemed a little confused. We took our pizza to-go and it was definitely not hot enough even though they heated so we re-heated it in the oven. When I finally ate a a piece it was good but definitely not as great as I had remembered. I guess I lost a taste for Jules because it was a little too bland. Also I felt as though I was eating a cracker. The chicken line was not good. read more

This place is so good! I wish there were one in Philly! I love me some cheesy, greasy, pizza, but if you want something a lot healthier, refreshing, and really delicious, come here!! I got a slice of veggie # 1 (feta cheese, kalamata olives, red onions, fresh chopped organic tomatoes, romaine, organic tomato sauce) and veggie #6 (artichoke hearts, fresh chopped organic tomatoes, arugula, garlic, mozzarella, cubes of fresh mozzarella, gorgonzola, oregano) and both of them were delicious! Veggie #1 tasted more like pizza that you'd get from a place a California Pizza Kitchen, but they both were yummy. I didn't realize that a slice is more like two (they cut a large piece in half), so I'll probably only get one next time because I was really full when I ate two of them But I definitely want to come back here and try some other slices! Decent pizza with a variety of toppings. Personally feel all of them could have been toasted a touch longer since the cheese wasn't as melty as it could be and the pizza crust felt kinda stale. Could be since we came quite later in the day. The carbonara pizza was cool because of the potatoes, pretty heavy and not exactly carbonara tasting but unique and interesting. Liked the buffalo chicken the least - the one you could taste the staleness from the most. If it were in the oven a bit longer and the cheese were more melty definitely could have been better. Surprisingly liked the artichoke pizza most - bright flavors and I'm a sucker for ricotta cheese. Overall, okay pizza, kinda pricey but probably worth it if you decide to get a whole pie which looks like they're made fresh. Staff is young and lackluster though. Wouldn't quite return by choice but I wouldn't fight it if someone else wanted to go here. read more

Clean, helpful, friendly, tasty, fresh vegan and soy-free friendly restaurant. I had called before coming to this restaurant to ensure the dietary restrictions would not be an issue. They were helpful and friendly on the phone. Upon arrival, I was shocked at how clean and open the restaurant was. The pizzas on display looked very fresh (and plentiful). I also love the ideals of the restaurant - fresh, local ingredients. The menu is quite extensive in toppings and they offer a gluten free crust as well. I was surprised to see black beans and edamame as options for toppings (yum protein). Most importantly, they use Daiya - and they certainly do not skimp on it. Likewise, they certainly do not skimp on any of the toppings. They even use real, fresh, oregano and basil. We had a lovely pizza (large size) and were impressed. The crust is thin and crunchy, cooked to perfection and the variety of veggies was fresh and delicious. It was certainly a pleasant meal, with fast friendly service and fresh delicious food. The price was kind of steep, but when it is met with this caliper of service and quality - it truly is worth it. I should preface this review by saying two things: I love pizza and my favorite pizza is the super thin crust or flatbread...that said I didn't know I was walking in to a super thin crust flatbread pizzeria when I stumbled into Jules on a recommendation. The staff were friendly and helpful, knowledgeable about the restaurant the ingredients and the preparation. The restaurant was clean and wide open, the patio was closed as it was 25℉ out. I started with a slice of plain cheese. I always like to try the plain as a barometer of the taste and quality. The plain slice was great. The cheese fresh and local, with perfectly seasoned sauce. Then I ordered a pie; A medium pie with fig, gorgonzola, prosciutto, and arugula . It was (not surprisingly) AMAZING. According to the staff, there are 5 other Jules in Pa and two in Ca. I can see why people come back, fresh delicious and local organic ingredients. I look forward to my next pie here. read more

A must visit place for anyone visiting Doylestown. Honestly, the funkier the pizza looks, the better it usually is. Jules specializes in thin crust and fresh toppings with not too much cheese. Personal favorite is their kale pizza with pear. Very inexpensive for all that you're getting as well! My gf and I go often. And get a full meal for the two of us for about $20. Restaurant is always clean, even when it's busy, and the staff always come across as happy to see you as help you. Tip: it's easy to overlook the vegetarian options, but they are actually some of the best! read more

Went here simply because we spotted it nearby on foursquare, and saw that they had a free deal of one free slice on first check-in. My girlfriend and I each ordered two slices. Without a doubt, I can say that it's definitely the best gourmet thin crust pizza I've ever had. I had a slice of sweet sausage, onion and argula(?) and then another slice of their Mexican pizza which was topped with black beans, jalapenos and ground beef. Both were delicious, tasted fresh and full of flavor. If this place were nearby, I'd go all the time. Sadly, it's not. All in all, good food at a decent price and nice atmosphere. read more

First things first- this is not pizza. Jule's is located in Bucks County, near Philadelphia. This is the land of muffin tops, cheese steaks and dark beer. Thin crust belongs in San Diego as an appetizer. When I think of pizza I think of something that I can fold to slid into my wide mouth. I want my pizza to be thick with either sauce or toppings falling off onto my plate. Jule's is like a saltine cracker with toppings. But now that I have gotten that off of my chest, the food is actually great. It is perfect for lunch or when you just want something light. The variety of choices and speed of receiving your food is great. Tonight I had the pepperoni, sausage and mushroom selection (see how I avoid writing "pizza") and it was delicious. The naturally raised meats taste fresh and refreshing from your typical pizza place. The "crust" is crispy but tasty. Another complaint about Jule's has more to do with Doylestown than with Jule's itself. Everytime that time I dine there I get frustrated with fake East Coast Hippies. Now I love granola and going green as much as a Prius owner, but I do so without the neon light that impedes on someones dining experience. While I sit and enjoy my food (again, no use of "pizza") I do not need to hear about how Little Daisy can only eat goat cheese at age 5. Last time I was there (a month ago), flies were landing on the pizzas behind the glass where people order. We were there getting slices at the doylestown store. I usually love their pizzas. But the flies were icky. I noted this to the cashier and they didn't seem concerned. read more

Jules Thin Crust is a non-traditional pizza place with the "organic" touch. You probably won't like it if you are hooked on the round tomato pie, mozzarella cheese and a thicker crust. The appeal is to those looking for really fresh organic ingredients in a variety of combinations on a very thin gluten-free crust. There are other differences vs. the traditional pizza pie at the local pizza shop: 1. There are no Italians to be seen anywhere. Local "yuppie" types with a "tree hugger" sense about them. 2. All ingredients are organic. 3. The pies are oval, not round. 4. If you order a slice, you get a rectangular "slice"...not a triangle. 5. The slice is heated in a toaster oven-like device--something like the Burger King flame broiler except no fire or grease. 6. They recycle and used paper products made from recycled paper. Please discontinue reading and take a ride to the dime-a-dozen pizza shack down the street. If you're a bit of a health-a-holic, a bit of an organic-a-holic, or just someone who's sick of the plain, greasy triangle pizza, I 100% recommend Jules Pizza. They have three locations: Doylestown, Jenkintown, and Newtown, so don't use proximity as an excuse - go! I first got hooked on Jules in 2005 when it first opened, and the amazing thing is that it hasn't changed (because it hasn't needed to!) their menu/mission ever in the five years that I've gone. They did do one small solid, which was the addition of gluten-free crust and desserts. They have a variety of veggie and meat options, all organic, from local farms, free-range, you name it, so you can go ahead and order four slices guilt-free. It was so refreshing to take a bite of pizza and taste each fresh flavor, rather than salt and preservatives and grease. My horseback riding instructor, who was born & raised in Northern Italy, says that this is the closest he's ever found to good italian pizza since he's come to America. Their website is great too: easy to read menu, directions, details, and even an ordering online function! The L.D. - this stuff's addicting. So much so that I feel that longing in my stomach when I drive by, so much so that my fiance proposed to me with Jules Pizza, so much so that I'm still disheartened that my kill-joy soon-to-be mother-in-law (whew, that's a lot of hyphens!) refused to have our rehearsal dinner be at Jules. Came in today and ordered two large pizzas, one was regular with sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms, and the other was a gluten free veggie #2 on half, and pepperoni on the other half. I have ordered this way for the gluten free over a dozen times, and haven't had any complaints about it. I haven't been in to this location in over six months, and the quality has severely declined once again. The veggie #2 side was sloppy and missing the fresh garlic. It also didn't have the mozzarella cheese squares it usually has scattered throughout the pie. The tomatoes were sloppy and runny. The left side with just the pepperoni was so greasy, there were PUDDLES of grease on it. I had to use three napkins to sop up the grease from just one square. The paper was missing the gluten free stamp, so I had to go in and ask them to triple check that it was okay before I ate it. I am so disappointed. I am a frequent diner member and can't seem to get the same quality here that once excited in this place. read more

If you are a typical New Yorker looking for your Manhattan slice of pizza, do not come here. You will immediately hate what you see and probably start blurting out profanities because you feel what is going on here is blasphemous. However if you are an open minded person that enjoys to try a spin on the average "pie" of pizza, then this is a terrific place. Most pizza places have specialty pizzas out for a royalty price for a slice. This place doesn't necessarily have a royalty price, but i think most of the slices are all the same price. It is pricey, don't get me wrong, but the quality of the ingredients is superb. I've come here a couple of times and I have always enjoyed it. The pizza is always made fresh, and I have to say again the quality of what they do is great. I do advise you though if you think you can eat more then order it, because the usual slice or three from a regular pizza place will fill you but in this place it wont. The ONLY thing that annoys the sh*t out of me are the doylestown hippie wannabes that hang out here, or as another reviewer stated "East coast hippies*. I completely agree and doylestown seems to be FULL of them. I dont know why, is it their pretentious families make them try to live a different life or they just retarded? I tend to go with the latter being they spend buttloads on food such as this "gluten free" pizza (which jules is) and then drive away in their H2 Hummer.... But this isn't a rant on hating hippies, its on Jules pizza. So in conclusion this place is terrific, the quality and freshness is outstanding, and the flavors they come up with are just great. In the last week I've been to Jules 3 times. (I gotta keep that foursquare mayoralship!) I'm kinda addicted. My favy pizza is their mushroom. It's sweet. The mushrooms are succulent. It has cheese. It is bliss. If they are out of mushroom and I don't have time for them to make a new pie, I get a sad face. And then I order Greek, or their regular cheese pizza. Sometimes I even go crazy and get the one with apples on it (in season) In the land of plenty of pizza shops, Jules is truly different. Especially see oval flat thin crusts with simple and fresh veggies toppings on a wood plate with a parchment paper, to serve, got me more exciting. Pizza wasn't baked in a Roman brick oven but in an electric oven. Veggie #7 - First hit was definitely the taste of eggplant. Thinly sliced eggplants were cut round and was fresh. Eggplant worked as a sponge and soaked up the cheese flavors but this pizza was not oily. Veggie #12 -It looked and sounded good but all of the ingredients were not working for me. I wish I could taste sweetness of caramelized onion. That would help goat cheese flavor. Green taste of Edamame didn't work even with melted ricotta and goat cheese. This one was my least favorite. Veggie #5 - Organic tomato sauce, fresh basil, chopped tomatoes was just fine. Veggie #1 - Feta cheese, olives, red onions, chopped tomatoes and romaine with tomato sauce was too crowded and made thin crispy pie soggy. Meat #1 - Pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, tomato sauce and mozzarella pizza was meaty but light. Parking can be tough but after you get inside you will like the fresh ingredients they offer from local area. You get in line and order your favorites, pay and wait for your order. Only took about 5 min what I like is the variety they even have one or two without cheese. Not expensive, I ordered 2 slices (They are big) and it was $6. This is some of the best pizza I've ever tasted. They have a lot of options you won't find anywhere else and it's all organic. There's no delivery but you can call ahead, pay with your credit card and they'll bring your order out to the car for you. The dining room can get pretty crowded on the weekends but it's still a nice place to eat any time. They have a good amount of outdoor seating when the weather is warm. The drink options are kind of limited but It's BYOB so you can always bring some wine or whatever you want with you. I haven't taken advantage of that yet, but it's nice to have the option. Jules definitely has the best pizza in Doylestown, if not the entire state of PA. It's the place I find myself recommending the most. read more
