I loved this adorable store! Staff is friendly and they have an array of merchandise. This is the perfect store to find a gift for others or for yourself. They have clothing, Julian t-shirts, dog accessories, jewelry, magnets, you name it they probably have it. I bought my daughter adorable bear socks and pajamas. They are a dog friendly store with a water bowl at the entrance. They are conveniently located on the main shopping strip next to all of the other cool stores. I will be back during the holidays to see what new merchandise they have in! read more

On any given weekend at any store in this small historic town it's crowded with weekenders shopping for that one memorable thing to take home. They have a lot of cool stuff here, I didn't end up buying anything on this visit. read more

Very cute store with super cute things available for purchase. I bought a Julian magnet here that's shaped like an Apple and I love it. The store smelled amazing too and they have items for every season. Looking for a Christmas tree ornament? Yep, they have them...looking for wind chimes to place on your porch on a cool spring morning? Yep, they have them. They also have cool t-shirts, sweat shirts, and slippers shaped like bear claws. Definitely stop in here if you're in Julian! read more

Another adorable shop in Julian. They have a little bit of everything. Go here for local crafts, soap, seasonal treats, pet clothes and toys, women's fashion, children's toys and clothes. They have it all. They even have handbags, hats and jewelry. This is a great find with a very lovely staff. read more

So happy we stopped into this shop! I found the cutest little zippered bag for my sister. There was an entire section of these bags with different sayings on them. And they also had other fun items for the house. The bag I ended up choosing said "ain't no hood like motherhood" I couldn't stop laughing. It was just something I knew my sister would get a kick out of. There is full of cute little things from clothes, accessories, Christmas ornaments to house decor, and more. It was nice to walk around to look at everything. A few things I wanted to get for myself but decided not to spend too much here. Definitely worth stopping in to look around when you are in Julian. Who knows you may walk out with more than you expected! read more

We just left this place without making a purchase. The young girl at the counter displayed THE worst customer service Ive ever experienced in our 48 yrs of being on this planet. The owners should be very ashamed of themselves to leave thier beloved business in the hands of a person who is sucha bitch. This is definatlly an opportunity for advanced people skills and customer relations training. We will be sure to let everyone we know never to step foot in this rediculouslly ran establisment moving forward. Date is 06/15/19 @ 3:30pm. A very beautiful and cozy shop to visit while in Julian for buying presents or souvenirs and a variety of other stuff for yourself or your near and dear ones. You will feel the warmth right after you step inside coz of their heaters, leaving the chill behind, and rest is for you to explore. I had bought a wooden sculpture, which was among a lot of others on display, ranging in different sizes. I was amazed to see some of the huge sizes as well. And the best of all, prices were posted to sell. read more

The Julian Mercantile has a large variety of merchandise for all. I visited in December so there was lots of Christmas ornaments and decorations. This is a great store if you are looking for a gift. They have some good housewares for a housewarming; a warm and cozy scarf for your grandma; a flannel shirt jacket for the man in your life; a leather handbag for your best friend; or a dream catcher for your daughter's teacher. Their prices are reasonable. There is only one person working as the cashier so no one will bother your while you are shopping. read more

Racist! I went in to purchase gloves and a beanie as I forgot mine. I noticed as soon as I walked in a guy wearing army fatigue gloves and a black jacket entered behind me. He followed me around the store to where I was so uncomfortable, I left without purchasing anything because you will not racially profile me and I support your business. I was the only black person in there and he choose to target me. I do not recommend. read more

There is no pressure at all. Yesterday, she showed me a necklace I liked and I told her that I needed to ponder on it. I also left a couple of pieces to be repaired. When I went back to pick up my repaired items, I bought the piece. We've also had Patricia custom make items for us. Our Mom lost one of her her favorite cross earrings. We showed Patricia and she suggested we have two new ones made and and turn the original cross into a necklace. It was a great suggestion and the price was so reasonable. She shipped us everything within a couple of weeks. Mom was so pleased. Patricia has one many ribbons for her jewelry from the Del Mar Fair and we enjoy seeing them when we visit. Every time we come to Julian, this is one of our "go to" places and we always enjoy catching up with Patricia. She is a sweetheart!
