Completely rude. I was treated like garbage. They messed up my time and then were cruel and mean.. discrimination flowed out of Dallas's mouth. She wouldn't have a conversation with me, she just yelled. I was told over and over she respects herself too much and I hindered that some how. No respect to have a civil conversation.. if you have medical issues I say stay clear as it will never be the store to admit an issue, it will be put back on you. I had comments more than once about my ethnicity previously, but I passed it off as jest, but learned the truth .. this was an amazing store, but when the co was passed to the daughters, it went to crap. No one should be treated like I was. Go to St. George. Stylists who are always kind is worth the 20 min drive.. we will never return to Dallas at Julie's hair and nails. Stopped in for the first time and was lucky to have Myra as my stylist. My layered cut is spectacular and I can not be any happier! She was very friendly and great to chat with to boot! I had a wonderful experience yesterday with this salon! I came in first thing in the morning to see if someone could do my nails sometime that day (Saturday) The hairdresser said Kim was great with nails... A lady was there to get her nails done by Kim and said she did a great job, so I knew I was in good hands at that point. She got me in that afternoon and it was the most pleasant experience. She was excited and eager to do what I wanted done. She did a beautiful job and was very efficient and timely, considering she sculpted my nails. She does the gel nails that I like. I will definetly be coming back again and again... Not only that but she is a beautiful person, the time flew by because she was so easy to talk to! I sought out Julie's hair and nails when I was planning my upcoming wedding in Zion National Park. It was slim pickings in the area but turns out that there was a little gem named Markie at this salon that really listened to me and knew what I was looking for in terms of wedding hair. I changed it a few times on her too and she was very accommodating and rolled with all the punches of my indecisiveness. In the end I loved loved loved my hair and they even allowed my make up artist to come into the salon and use one the stations to do make up simultaneously as we were getting out hair done! My hair was very ME and held together amazingly the enduring the long and hot day. My only suggestion is that you make time to ONLY work with Markie or have a consultation with any of the other stylists she plans on having help her for the day of. I had two maid of honors (my sister and best friend) who were also scheduled to get their hair done with Markie but for times sake, she brought in another hair stylist to help her on the day. Only problem is this stylist had never had a consultation with us before so really went into the appointment blindly and not knowing the type of hair my maids had. Only one of the maids ended up getting their hair done by this stylist and it turned out to be a bit of a disaster but luckily my make up artist for the day happened to also do hair and came to the rescue. Markie was super apologetic about the whole ordeal and everything ended up fine so the issue was solved but if I were to go back, I would of made more time for us all to get our hair done by Markie instead of bringing in a third party. Overall, I would suggest Julie's hair and nails to anyone, even for a everyday cut and style. The ladies there are all super sweet and sooooo accommodating. I got a perm from Lillian, and I told her beforehand that I've been coloring my hair for about two years. She didn't do a strand test, or advise me against the perm. I later found out from a different hairstylist (who managed to salvage my hair), that a strand test would have been a good thing to do to see how my hair would react. But I assumed Lillian knew better. The perm didn't really take, and destroyed my hair. I had to cut off three inches of chemically burnt ends, and now my hair is so dry and damaged, it's just a frizzy mess. I've never been so upset about my hair before, and would never let her touch my hair again. read more
