Came for RI Food Fights. I love old-school donut places like this, and the prices are so affordable. $1.50 for donuts. They weren't just cheap, they were also really good and fresh. The Boston cream's filling was tasty and not fake tasting. The blueberry old-fashioned donut had amazing blueberry flavor with a nice, dense dough. This is the third stop on my local donut tour. We've never been here so decided to stop in. This location looks a little run down, but I don't mind that if the donuts are good! Lol. Anyway, I got a Boston Cream, my son got a chocolate frosted jelly and we got a bunch of "munchkins" for my younger son- glazed and chocolate. The Boston cream did have a lot of cream inside, but I found it to be extremely sweet- more so than others I've gotten. My son said he enjoyed it and there was a good amount of jelly inside. We always complain about jelly because most places don't put enough in. The munchkins were so/so. I found them to be a little dry. I also noticed they had a few other interesting donut flavors- things like maple bacon etc. Overall the donuts we tried were decent, but I don't think I'd make a special trip to come back here and it wouldn't be my go-to donut spot. read more

Quick & tasty breakfast sandwiches. Their bacon, egg & cheese can't be beat! Bagels are super fresh, and made on site, I believe. I've never had the bagels be over toasted or burnt unlike other establishments. I always ask for my breakfast sandwiches to have a scrambled egg instead of fried and they have no problem with that. I'm not a fan of their donuts but donuts aren't my favorite breakfast pastry to begin with. They have good coffee and generous sizes. It's a small location so we typically always get our food to go. The inside is outdated and worn but I'm not going for the atmosphere. read more

OK really this is just slightly under four stars but I don't have the option of doing partial stars and this is closer to four than it is to three so I'm gonna go ahead and do four stars here. The reason this jumbo location is not as high as others is because I compare everything to the Uxbridge location, which is like five stars without a doubt. This is a predictively good experience. The coffee is hot and fresh. The place always smells amazing. My dad loves their apple fritters and the maple donuts. Service is OK, sometimes a little on the slow side but overall I would say that service is decent. There's not really a lot of comfortable seating or anything like that inside so you're definitely picking your stuff up to go or eating it in your car or whatever. I always like to review the bathrooms at a fast food place, but the one time I asked to use the restroom here it was closed. read more

The service here is such an immaculate system regardless of how busy they are. The food is always cooked perfectly, and the woman who runs the grill is an absolute boss (someone please give her a raise). She always knows when to ask the right clarifying questions to staff and customers- which in a small place like this saves time and upset. Best of all everything is super affordable. read more

for six years I have been a patron. Since the new owner it's gone down hill. Muffins aren't fresh, switched to a mutt brand nasty tasting cream cheese, Styrofoam large cups that keep iced coffee gone, coffee tastes old, staff is now poorly trained. There are so many things I can't list them all. This goes for both whitinsville and definitely uxbridge location. Owner needs to wake up. Lines used to CONTINUOUSLY go into the street. Now, u might have only 2 or 3 cars ahead of you. I like quick lines but not at the expense of quality!!! read more

Stopped for a donut and coffee Tuesday morning around 9:00 am. One customer in the restaurant so there was no wait. I usually have a toasted everything bagel with chive cream cheese but on this trip I ordered a small black coffee and chocolate glazed donut. The coffee was barely warm and the donut was so dry I tossed it in the trash after one bite. Next time I'll order my usual bagel but go next door and get my coffee at Dunkin. read more

I've never felt less welcome in a restaurant. We were looking for breakfast- eggs and home fries, etc- which they clearly serve. Came in and sat at the bar. Immediately the woman behind the counter was giving weird vibes. Walks over and asks if we know what we want. We ask for coffee. She laughs at us and says, how do I know what kind, what size? Then another woman comes over and points to the donut counter and tells us most people order over there and this isn't really a sit down restaurant. In spite of the fact that there were multiple tables filled with people and a menu of eggs and toast that was clearly for sit down customers. We walked out. I would never set foot in this place again. I can only assume that they are racist or genuinely just hateful people. Don't surround yourself with this miserable energy put off by miserable people who are determined to make themselves feel better by being hateful. read more

This little gem is located in a tiny strip center at the corner of Church St and Providence Rd. Had an incredible bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a plain bagel. The bagel was not my first choice but for some reason, bulkie rolls are not an option. The bagel was a great second choice as it was fresh, chewey and oh so delicious as well as the rest of my sandwich. There are booths along the side wall as well as a few stools at the counter. The man and woman behind the counter were extremely nice and helpful as I observed them with the other people in line in front of me. Usually I enjoy coming here. One of the only real breakfast shops left that use real fried eggs for their breakfast sandwiches and grill the bread you choose on a real grill with some butter like you would make yourself at home. The muffins taste better than DD. It's never so busy I can't get in and out quickly enough. I have been going here for 2 years I have heard swear words and been yelled at. There was a woman who worked there (not sure if she still does) that would literally swear every single time a customer came in or if there was a long line...or if she had any pressure put on her at all. A younger girl who was cashing out was so embarrassed that she profusely apologized for the other woman swearing loudly. Now there is a woman there who recently got aggravated with me because she asked me what I wanted and I told her two donuts. She got snippy and annoyed with me saying "no, for the grill?" In a very rude tone. She then tried to apologize by saying it was a busy day at the grill. They are lucky that they have fresh, delicious donuts and bagels because that is the only thing that saves the place. The need to renovate the inside of the place. The stools and benches are horribly uncomfortable. They should consider renovating some of their staff as well. read more

Cheap, and 24 hours can't beat it. Donuts are not good if it's late in the day. One big plus is all sandwiches are cooked on a griddle... not nuked. For a 3rd shift worker and living in a town without 24 hour services I am happy to make the drive here for an egg and cheese. read more

I'm a long time customer, and I love the food and the afternoon staff, BUT.. it's clear that the owners do not put money into their business! The building is disgusting, no A/C means sweating people during summer months, they have one window that's held together by duck tape, and flies come through, gross! Plus there are many holes in the walls and Old equipment that looks like it hasn't been replaced in years, please if your the owner, update your store! Greats donuts and staff though! read more

I tried this place a few months ago and got an iced coffee and a donut. I thought the iced coffee was gross and over priced. I was shocked the name is "Jumbo Donuts". I thought it should be called "Dunkin Donut Sized Donut". I was just now craving something sugary and decided to try this place a second time. I wished I hadn't. I got another averaged sized disgusting old donut. The donut was awful and stale. Another wasted trip with wasted money with an unsavory taste in my mouth. Gross. read more

2 stars only because the food is actually decent. To watch how it was prepared and see how unsanitary the conditions are will keep me from going back. Asking for egg whites does not mean I want the cook to grab the yolk with her bare hand off of the grill after cracking the egg. No gloves worn by the cook at all. She went from scooping the yolk out with her bare hand to laying out bread on the grill. It also doesn't look good when you're talking down to your staff. I was concerned at first about the girl without a mask but upon asking found that she has a medical reason and a doctors note. This is usually my go-to breakfast sandwich place due to location. I rarely get coffee from here. Donuts are just not good. I've tried them on multiple occasions and they're dry and nothing special. The sandwiches are usually pretty good until I watched a man make mine and he wasn't wearing gloves and reached into the egg he was cooking for me with his bare hands to get a shell out and then when it was done man handled my sandwich with bare hands to cut it in half. I visited Jumbo Donuts on a day when business was slow. A critique of my plain bagel with butter is not worth mentioning. What is, is the rude manner in which the older gentleman behind the counter spoke to an employee. The gentleman appeared to be the owner and discouraged the associate from recommending a breakfast sandwich to the customer she was assisting to take the order of a new customer just stepping in the door. I observed as this left the employee visually flustered and embarrassed. I'll find a different breakfast spot in the area. read more

I was working nearby and knew nothing in the area, yet found myself wanting a decent cuppa and some pastry-like eats. A quick yelp lookup and lo and behold! Jumbo donuts was five minutes away! Pulling up to the shop, I was stunned at how many people were here. I hardly found a spot! Upon walking in here though...well...that was a different story. Now mind you, I am not the witch that everyone thinks that I am, and could have easily have left a three or even two star review. But out of decency to my human man, and a determination to not blow everything out of proportion, four stars it is! Now, the restaurant itself is run down. No doubt about it. But I am rarely deterred by such things. After reading the other yelp reviews I settled on a french toast bagel with cream cheese. And when the friendly woman behind the counter asked if I wanted it grilled I responded with a "yes!" Bonus. Now, I get they were busy, but while she was making my bagel, no less than three people waited on me. It was starting to get confusing. Also, while this was happening a gentleman came by with bare hands and moved one of the donuts around on the wall. At first that made me shudder, but I realize that I probably have had a lot worse happen to food I put in my mouth and didn't realize it. Although, some wax paper wouldn't have hurt. The woman making the bagel told the third or fourth person helping me to ring me up as a combo etc etc,. Which is all well and good, until my first total came to ten dollars. My jaw dropped. Ten? Well of course that was a mistake, she tried again, and it came to eight. I just shut my mouth at this point because I was getting an extra large coffee (and it was HUGE). The third time she got it right, but now I've paid so we have to figure out the difference. But she was so nice, and so apologetic, and I was in a good mood. Food was good, not awesome, very good. Definitely recommend the French toast bagel as damn! did that taste like French toast! Donut was a decent size, and not obnoxiously sweet and coffee was pretty good (and I am a coffee snob)! The ambience is a little dingy but the stools by the window overlooking the parking lot make up for that. Great place for me to read or people watch and sip my coffee.
