Computer Systems Centre (AKA JumpIT) is the worst customer experience I have ever had. The complete lack service cannot be understated. Out of loyalty for having made previous purchases there before, I contacted them about buying a new Mac Pro workstation (major purchase). The rep Alex, did not want to even look into options I requested. He was not knowledgeable about the products. In fact, he was more worried about his commission than fulfilling my requests. There were unnecessary delays in my order. They refused my preferred form of payment so inconvenienced me by making me show up in person. Finally they held my system hostage even though I was on a corporate account with previous history and a substantial deposit. I have no faith in their post sale service either. I would complain to Apple Canada if I had an e-mail address. Go somewhere else, they do not deserve business! read more

TL;DR: avoid at all costs Two weeks ago I took my laptop (MacBook Pro retina 15inch) to the computer systems Center to see about fixing a dead pixel. It turned out that the pixel was caused by a chipping of the glass rendering it out of Apple cares service, this was frustrating but not their fault. When I went and picked up my laptop I realized splotches on the screen surrounding the pixel. When I took it back to the technicians they were very sympathetic and immediately take my laptop back for inspection. Almost a full week later I was informed that this was a removal of the antiglare coating by some corrosive chemical furthermore they claim that was there when I was brought in for service! This is unequivocally not the case and reading others' reviews I definitely should have realized that they have a very spotty history filled with damaging serviceable products, slow service and steered well clear. While they are licensed Apple care provider they clearly do not perform up to the same standards as the Apple Store ie. somehow getting corrosive material on my screen and lying about it. read more

Apple Macintosh Products... IPOD Nano Radio Sex Toy... sleek unlike me... typical apple, I'm a pear.. well big enough... the apple product... sexy as fuck, sounds great too... about $225 or so.. can play MP3s or listen to radio... also videos I think... haven't figured it out yet... lousy manual... typical Steve Jobs Apple Product... touch sensitive display is very neat though... very high tech... Get a wall-wart AC 120V to USB charger to skip the computer to charge it... works like a charm... Get apple head phones with mike and leave voice memos for self on IPOD nano... ITunes interesting but how does it work? Note this unit is 3/8" thick by 3" tall by 1.5" wide roughly.. and doesn't need batteries. It charges from USB port on computer or wall wart... talk to staff at Jump+ but don't waste their time please. Also got an apple IPAD... SIRI is neat but difficult.. you speak to her and say "I'd like to watch muppets popcorn video" and she gets it... sometimes I worry about her... I think she need Eliza... some of the staff here are helpful, BUT I would never buy a computer here again. If I buy from an apple store, I can return for a full refund for 14 days, no problem. Here, if the box was opened, I have to pay 20% restocking fee, and I still get only store credit, no refund. Bought a mac to replace one that was stolen. 'Find my mac' found my mac! yay. So I had the new one for 3 days, and I can't return it. I WISH I had bought it at the apple store. Why would you accept CSC's lousy return policy when there is a much better alternative? Like most of us, I cringe at the mere thought of having to make my way into the crowded and fluorescent Apple Store at the Eaton's Centre, and when all three of my Apple products decided to crap out within two weeks of eachother, I thought all was lost. Then I found this gem of an establishment, and my stresses were finally relieved. Sam, the tech support gent, is amazing - he doesn't scam and does everything he can to find a manageable solution for his customers. Came here for service on my Mac, after being quoted a two week turnaround time at the Apple store. I was told four days for the repair here, and it was complete the morning of the third day. Couldn't be happier, and would highly recommend it over nearby Apple stores where you require an appointment. read more

Quick and courteous service for my MacBook. My MacBook developed a keyboard problem while out of town so I took it to the Eaton Centre Apple Store. The place was mobbed and it took 30minutes and five separate retail assistants to finally be told it would take them two weeks to repair. They advised me to try Jump+ if that was too long. The next day I went there and what a difference: immediate service, friendly and helpful. They quickly processed my details and said a top case replacement could take 3-5 days. The very next day they called to say it was ready. A great job. They carry the full range of Apple products and various accessories, if I needed anything I'd go there rather than Eaton Centre! read more

I came into buy a macbook here and left. My customer service experience was worse than the time I had to get my prostate operation. I wanted to lease a computer. The salesperson quoted me an incorrect price on the lease but not before having the leasing company run a check on my credit rating which lowers your credit score. I guess the sales person had no idea about this fact? What a waste of time I went somewhere else. Really I'd rather watch Nicolas Cage in Seasons of the Witch in small confined space with an ingrown toenail than ever try and shop here again. read more

Worst place ever. Regardless of the place always being empty at all hours of the day, I had to book an appointment to get my iPhone 6 battery replaced, I arrived on time to an empty store. Although the customer service reps are very attractive in appearance, they decided it would be a great idea to aggressively up-sell me and tell me that I had to get my entire face plate replaced due to a small chip which would take 5-8 business days and cost 180$ before I could get my battery replaced for 35$. They then tried to "mansplain" the components of a phone and how it works to me. I know how a phone works, I just wanted the battery replaced. I also know that I don't need a new faceplate in order to get the battery replaced. Thanks for gender profiling me you pseudo-frat douche bags. They clearly were just trying to up-sell in order to make it seem like I needed a new phone (180 + 35 = 215$, why not get a new phone for 300$?) kinda bullshit. They then told me that they could fix the battery on site if I had a newer phone and listed each other newer phones off... basically shaming me and making it seem like I needed a new phone in order to receive any phone services in general... cool beans, I'm not in the market for this pitch and will now never come back to this store again. Listen, my phone is 3 years old, I could give a shit less about the "warranty" that's already twice expired. I could give a fuck less about having a "cool phone". I left the store extremely frustrated and went to the Asian place across the street who changed my battery for 35$ and replaced it in 15 minutes with no appointment required. He was so great, I impulse bought a new phone case. My phone works perfectly now and it took no time at all to get what I asked for, with no bullshit mansplaining bro douchery required. F**ck you Jump+, get out of our neighbourhood, I hope this business fails. Their sales "pitches" are way too aggressive and they are extremely condescending to women. My laptop died. I don't quibble with their diagnosis at CSS - now also branded as "Jump" according to their business card - but the customer service is abominable. When I took the machine in on a Saturday, a staff member plugged my computer in with my power cord (to confirm I wasn't an idiot, apparently) and then after agreeing it wasn't working he gave me a receipt which I didn't bother to review and said their service staff is not in on weekends. When told it was dead, I came to pick it up with my receipt but the power cord was not given and the receipt didn't specifically say they took it! The staff member remembered me, tried to apss off an older bulkier model then said service dept is locked and he cannot even get it to look for it. Over the next few days their manager lied about what staff told me saying I brought no power cord. After threatening to sue, the manager reviewed his surveillance tapes and finally couriered me MY power cord. Review all their paperwork and for service - only weekdays! read more

I can't say enough good things about the lads who work at the service office of this combined computer retail/service centre. We purchased an iMac from the retail shop on College and asked if their service shop (on the corner) could transfer everything from our old eMac onto the new machine. For a nominal fee, they did exactly that, but not before encountering a major configuration problem on the eMac that meant many hours spent rescuing thousands of corrupted files. They were brilliant at taking care of the problem (black magic as far as I can tell) and most importantly rescuing all of our family photos from the last 7 years. I recommend this shop for their outstanding service, prompt notification (when things hit the fan) and honesty. They have wonderful, caring staff that I will return to again and again, whenever I have a computer problem I can't resolve myself. read more

I did some downloads on my Mac and accidentally downloaded adware. It was so bad I couldn't even search anything online, and the people at Computer systems were very nice, wiped my adware and kindly installed ad blocking applications free of charge. This store sucks. I've shopped at CSC for years, trying to support an 'alternative' Mac Store. This time I carefully outlined my system requirements over three visits, even drawing a diagram of what I needed, and subsequently spent $$$ on a computer system that was recommended by their sales team. One component simply didn't work as they had promised. I found a work-around and no longer needed that minor component, so requested a refund. They have a restrictive return policy so I asked to speak to their manager, hoping that my years of support and the fact that their sales team had recommended this piece would allow some flexibility... 'Tom' never even bothered calling back. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else that at least pretends to have customer support and a reasonable return policy. Go to the nearest (real) Mac Store for standardized pricing, and one of the many other generics for everything else. read more

This place really screwed me over. I was quoted 1-3 days for a diagnostic on my laptop. I made it very clear that it was urgent because I was in the midst of laptop based exams- my exam was a week away from when I called them. The rep specifically told me that their turn around time was faster than the Eaton Centre Apple Store. After calling to ask them for an update I was told that I was "misquoted" and the turn around time was actually 4-8 days. I did not even get a verbal apology over the phone! So not only did they not deliver on what the said or apologize for it but they delayed me from resolving my issue. I can't even fathom what kind of business you must be running if you can't do simple things like give correct quotes, avoid misleading customers and apologize when you make mistakes. It is unlikely that I will have my laptop ready by the time I need it and it is already a stressful enough time of year for any student. If you have a problem with your apple product go to an apple store or ANY other licensed third party. This place is trash and they just want your cash. read more
