The last time I ordered flowers from Davis (Fall 2011), when given the option online, I paid more to double upgrade the arrangement so that it was a "super deluxe" arrangement with exponentially more roses and the like. With delivery and tax, the arrangement cost close to $100. My friends took a picture of the arrangement and sent it to me with a thank you. I was horrified and embarrassed when I saw the picture. The arrangement could not have been smaller---it was about the size of my hand---and from the picture I could not distinguish any roses at all. Quite frankly, there were barely any flowers in the arrangement---maybe about five to eight in total. Suffice to say, I was embarrassed to think that the recipient of the flowers probably thought I had spent $25 on such a small and cheap-looking arrangement. I will not use Davis again. Be careful of the bait and switch if you choose to use this florist.

Sending Flowers to each other is something we do often, so we are not new at using florist services. When I arrived home yesterday, I found a wilted, brown mess! All flowers fully in bloom, it was 90+ degrees yesterday. I also found a presentable side and posted a thanks to my friend on FaceBook. She immediately called me to acknowledge my thanks, but stated they are a lot smaller than the premium order she placed. I called the florist shop and left a message with their answering service. This morning the delivery guy (Owners Husband), called to listen to my complaint. He stated that it is not thier policy to take an arrangement back when they are outside their normal delivery area, they leave it. I stated why would you not use the number provided, I would have had my Nanny come to the door. He stated he rang and nobody answered, a lie for sure! So I asked why he would deliver a small bouquet, instead of the premium that was ordered. He stated FTD does not pay enough to cover a Premium, only a small. I stated that has to do with the agreement between you and FTD, when he accepts the offer from FTD he is to deliver a quality, premium bouquet. He stated he can send what he wishes, he has that option. So needless to say I called FTD first thing this morning and let them know of the TERRIBLE customer service I received and the opinion Davis has of a premium bouquet; the equality of a Safeway arrangement! FTD apologized and stated Davis will be flagged for any future arrangements and would find a reputable florist in my immediate area to replace the low rate flowers I initially received from Davis.

Never had a problem with customer service or the engravings that were done for those 5 years. However this past Saturday was really something that caught me off-guard. 1) We entered the store and waited 5 minutes to be acknowledged as a customer. 2) The store associate Michelle did finally walked over to the counter turned her back to us and started engraving some other item that has been sitting on or near the engraving machine since we entered the store. Again no acknowledgement that we existed. 3) When we were finally acknowledge with a pleasant "Hello, what can i do for you today", I presented the plaque with a request to have it engraved. Her response after a quick glance was "No we cannot engrave this thing". I told her it was done here for the past 5 years. "Here at this store?". "Yes, here at this store". REDFLAGS and siren should have gone off then. "OK, the font is Times and I'll get another engraver to do the engraving. We will call you in 24hrs when its done". 4) The phone rang in middle of discussing the work to be done, and Michelle took the call and told us the customer standing right in front of her, "Please hold-on". I stood there, surprised as i waited for Michelle to finish talking to the person on the phone. Results. Never received a phone call, the font was wrong, the size of the font was larger than the other engravings (Yes we did request the fonts and size to match the other engravings). And to top it off the engraving was crooked. DISAPPOINTED. with the customer service, Disappointed with the end result. Disappointed.
