On top of this the owner texted me several times from what I am assuming is her personal phone. Per the policy at this place, you have 24 hours to cancel. I work night shift 12 hours and have limited availability when I can do things. I was going to confirm until this morning I received a text message that seemed desperate to me. I want to start by saying…read moreI am a licensed MASTER esthetician myself that graduated from Clover Park Tech in 2021 who then went and got further education for to be a Laser Technician I went to get my Brazilian waxed for the first time in my life and I left feeling mortified, shamed, and was treated in a manner I would never treat a client. Betty scolded me and made remarks about my body and stretch marks while I was in my most vulnerable state. She had a Trainee wax me post putting me on the spot and while being waxed, some of the wax had accidentally gotten flicked onto Betty's scrubs. She then used the trainee's hand that had just been waxing me to remove the wax from her scrub to then put the same hand back onto my private area being completely unsanitary. As a licensed esthetician I knew it was unhygienic and as a woman I was in a vulnerable position and mortified. Her after care kit consisted of bath and body works 'warm vanilla sugar' hand sanitizer that she instructed me to use to sanitize my private area. This product should NEVER be used NEAR or ON your private area and especially not on open follicles that can lead to bacteria, infection, and irritation. She also said to use Curel lotion to soothe the area after using hand sanitizer. This kit was a joke and so was her business. I paid full price for an UNLICENSED trainee to wax me while being simultaneously humiliated by this businesses owner.

As I walked in all three employees were sitting in pedicure chairs eating or on their phones. Honestly that wouldn't have even bothered me except for the fact they made it seem like I was inconveniencing them by coming in. I had called earlier to enquire about tan pricing and was told it was $20 for 5 tans, nothing else. When I asked to redeem my gift certificate for tanning the woman looked stumped and had to ask the man for information. Once they finally figured it out she asked me what room I wanted and I didn't realize there was more than one? Apparently the 5 tans for $20 was in a dirty room with a tanning bed that looked like it was from the 80's. Nobody bothered to mention that. There were two other options for ridiculously upgraded fees OFC... in both of those rooms (they let me look) looked unkept and not super sanitary. I kindly asked if I could possibly refund the gift certificate as I wasn't comfortable with the facilities or pricing for the services. They refused and began chatting in another language. The guy (same one who jacked up my pedicure years prior) began to literally argue with me about how they were the best priced tanning beds in town and yada yada yada. I wasn't even being difficult, just simply (and politely mind you) asking for a refund. I've literally never been treated this poorly or even been a witness to anyone being treated like this EVER. This place is terrible. The women didn't seem to know what was going on so it probably had nothing to do with them, the guy on the other hand is just rude and argumentative. Never again!!

The rare times that she drives herself the staff makes sure she makes it to her car safely without falling after the appointments, gets her from her car to help bring her in. They make her feel so seen, loved and cared for. They remember everything about her and the conversation is so genuine, she just raves about them. They go out of their way to care for my grandmother and everyone who walks in. I wish I could give them TEN stars!
