One of the best mango Matcha's ! Delicious matcha with an extensive menu and wonderful options to customize. The cutest photo op place and they had a Polaroid wall to add a Polaroid to it that they take of you there. It was so cute and loved the vibes. Very popular and quick service. read more

Came all the way from NY to try Junbi and sadly, it did not live up to the hype. I had high hopes for both the drinks and riceball and although the drinks were good, it was not phenomenal. The riceball on the other hand was just terrible. It was mold into a triangle and a seaweed was provided so you can DIY yourself. Once I took the riceball out of the bag, everything fell apart. The rice did not hold together and it was just very messy to eat. I would not recommended this as a to go snack. read more

Usually character collabs are only in the west coast so I was soo excited to see that there was a Miffy collab on the east coast that's not in New York. I got the orange creamsicle matcha latte and my partner got the blended orange creamsicle. Many times when there's a collab company's won't put in too much thought and use the name to sell product but I could tell there was a lot of thought put in. The offerings were unique and worked well together - never thought orange and matcha could complement each other. Soft serve is matcha perfect! I've not been able to get past ordering other items on the menu other than the the soft serve. This soft serve has a great matcha flavor that really comes through even with a cold taste. As far as the sweetness level, it's just perfect to complement the matcha. Each serving is also a solid portion leaving you not wanting much more. I'd like to try other items on the menu because there are other items I'd like to try that look just as perfect. They also have a limited selection of popular Doughnut Plant doughnuts as well. They didn't identify them as such in my first visit but I clearly recognized them, given the fact I've had more than my fair share. On my visits, staff service was pleasant with good advice. I get wary of bubble tea places I'm not familiar with because not all places make good tapioca balls (bubbles) - sometimes they are too soft or too hard, and it ruins the experience. Phew - this is not the case here! The bubbles are soaked in this delicious syrup - I was really pleasantly surprised. This place has a great variety of matcha drink selections, which I'm not really into. They have free wifi and decent amount of seating but can be filled up as they get busy sometimes. The cashiers are always so kind and if you go before 10am, drinks are half off!! Cons: old/stiff boba add on that was borderline unpalatable Visited on a weekday early afternoon to grab a drink while walking around with a friend. I ordered the hojicha latte with pearls and 70% sugar, which came out quickly. The drink itself was good and I enjoyed how Junbi offered hojicha varieties on top of the standard matcha. However the bubbles that I paid extra for were not edible, as they were hard in the center still. Really liked it. I got the rose matcha milk tea with lychee topping, subbed in oat milk. Seems like they used real lychee so that was interesting. Good Rose flavor but I don't think it's for me. The combo of rose water and oat milk made it more watery than I would like. Just opt for milk or just be aware this drink is on the more watery side. Mixed in some soft serve and it was a lot better. Edit: revisited the menu and seems like the latte options are the way to go if you're looking for a more milk forward drink. Really nice interior and ample seating. It's a great place to get some studying done. Their drinks are subtly sweet in a great way and there are a ton of options. Their matcha is quality is very good. Every beverage I've had here has been great. I've tried the onigiri flight here and will say it is okay (not great). The other thing I've been meaning to try is their matcha soft serve. There is very little reception in here though so keep that in mind. Service is mostly great everytime I've come. And don't forget to mix your drink before you drink it. Great matcha from here! Would highly recommend the strawberry matcha and almond jelly. The new taro vanilla matcha drink is also quite good- a bit too heavy on the vanilla imo but great taro flavor. The boba quality isn't the most consistent (there have been a few times where it was on the harder side of chewy) but is great on a good day. Drinks tend to be on the sweeter side (even if you order less sugar level) so be aware of that. Service is fast and the guy at the counter today was super nice and helpful! My drink: I got one of their classics: Cold Strawberry Matcha w/ Milk: less sugar, no ice, with boba. The drink is really aesthetic with its 3 layers, but you need to shake it up before you drink it! I love the balance of the strawberry with the matcha. The matcha flavor is pretty light but you get the distinct bitterness from the matcha after each sip. I love that the strawberry part tastes a bit like a classic strawberry jam and lightly sweetens the tea. The boba was perfectly QQ! Vibes: - plenty of seating for studying or grabbing some drinks with friends - good lighting and inside and plenty of sunshine coming in from the window in the front - AC is on a bit too high for me - music is on pretty loud - I came here a few months ago and the place was cleaner! I've followed the investors of Junbi for the longest time and when I heard that they finally opened a location on the East Coast, I was so excited to try. Unfortunately, I think my expectations were just too high because I didn't think my experience was that great. My boyfriend got the strawberry matcha with boba and the strawberry was so overpowering that we couldn't even taste the matcha tea. I got the madagascar vanilla matcha with boba; I think it was okay. Again, the flavor kind of took over the matcha tea. I wish there was more of a balance. Lastly, we tried their spam & egg rice ball. It was so small and it was probably 75% rice and 25% filling. I want this to be great so bad :( I ordered the Strawberry Matcha Latte with less sugar, a very good combination. I tasted both matcha and strawberry, however, it was SO SWEET. I tried my best to finish it and ended up tossing half of it. It could be because there is already sugar in the strawberries? If you are not a fan of drinks being overly sweet, ordering with no sugar is the best fit. On the other hand, my husband ordered the Mango Matcha Fresca with less sugar, and it was less sugar, however, we couldn't taste the mango. This tea shop specializes in a variety of premium matcha drinks, which are nothing like the green tea/matcha lattes you get at Starbucks or other tea or coffee shops. The matcha is strong yet smooth, and the different combos complement the tea so perfectly. I had the yuzu dragonfruit and loved the sweet citron flavors. I came way back during their opening weekend and there were a few small hiccups with my two orders.
