Ordered a mango tea with boba and cheese foam and somehow it came out to over $11. I went during lunch time so the store was busy and it took 15 minutes for my drink to come out. Their prices felt extremely expensive even given the Princeton area. They do have some really cute desserts and the sushi looked alright/seems to be more reasonably priced. I'm sorry but this is just so overpriced and for what? If I wanted to pay these prices I'd go to NYC, but this is NJ. The quality is sufficient, but honestly akin to what you could buy from a grocery store. They don't have anything special except bubble waffles, which they effectively don't have given that they were incapable of making them at the time we went and had to replace our order with macaron. Inside is hospital level of clean-- definitely not cozy or a warm hang out spot. Let's get it together please. Looking forward to whatever new spot opens up here in a few years. read more

It is a bit pricey but it's a nice treat. sushi and onigiri taste very nice and fresh. the sushi was delicious and the fish tasted very fresh. the onigiri was good, didn't have too much flavor but it tasted very fresh which i liked. I've gotten the tiramisu twice now and the first time i tried it, it was a 10/10 absolutely delicious. most recently, i tried it again and it was an 8/10, still very good but it didn't have as much flavor throughout all the layers. One of the few spots open pretty late on a Sunday. The taro bubble tea was tasty, a bit too sweet for me personally, but they were so friendly and offered us bags for the to-go containers we were holding from dinner (which we had elsewhere) which was really nice of them. Very packed the times I've been there, it seems to be a popular destination for both students and tourists. Bilingual service here (depending on who you talk to), which is nice. We were touring Princeton University and stopped here after lunch for boba tea. We didn't have food, just 2 boba drinks and ice cream. The people who work here were very friendly and let us sample some ice cream. The coconut ice cream was amazing. I also tried the pistachio ice cream which is actually made out of pistachios and not bright green like the fake stuff. The ice cream is pricey but definitely worth it. While walking around Princeton we decided to stop in for some boba and sushi since the place looked super cute from the outside. The person who took our order was very nice and answered all of the questions we had as best as she could, on the receipt it stated her name was Yeahna. Prices for the items were pretty average and we tipped our standard 20% at the kiosks when we ordered. I was surprised when we were brought out food in to go containers and had to bring up the trash ourselves. The girls were very nice but it's kind of disappointing for such a nice looking place to have to dine on take out containers. I thought the rolls were ok, nothing special. The most disappointing part was the drinks. I am a big boba tea fan who always finishes my drinks and my partner isn't one to waste but we both took our drinks to go and we both threw them out not even halfway done right in the trash cans by the Urban Outfitters. We actually stopped by here just for the sushi and loved it! The staff are some of the friendliest staff you'll find, the sushi was very tasty and presented really nicely, we also got the creme brulee cake that was truly amazing. Nice place to grab a bite to eat. Their sushi rolls were delicious. We also had the taiwanese chicken, which was quite tasty. The owner was so kind-- she gave my son some of their gelato ice cream for his birthday, and gave our group some yummy lychee drinks on the house. They were dry and dense-- the total opposite of what I expected. Maybe they were an old batch? Either way, I was disappointed in those desserts. Mtea is located in the heart of Princeton university and they are serving boba, sushi, macaroons, and onigiri to name some. It's definitely a one shop stop for goodies. The inside is instagram ready, especially the outside patio. They even have claw machines inside. The usually get green tea and it was delicious, they even have cute bears to put your drink in for additional cost. Even though our cashier was courteous it was off putting to hear some one from the staff member "we are missing $40". Came here for lunch recently and thought it was OK. First, there were tons of holiday decorations still up, which I kind of enjoyed :) Always good to celebrate! The restaurant in general is quite narrow and feels crowded - my friend and I ended up sitting at a two person table and my arm kept running into a large wall decoration because it was right up on me and very hard to avoid. I ordered sushi for myself and it arrived reasonably quickly. It was alright but definitely not as high quality as some other places I've been in the area - the fish didn't taste super fresh, for example. I will say the prices were reasonable for the Princeton area (since everything is normally super jacked up around there). Overall, will probably not be back, but maybe give it a try and see what you think :) Oh, and I definitely should have ordered the bubble tea since I'm assuming that's what the restaurant is best known for. read more

My husband and I came here. The last time we were in Princeton was a year ago and we definitely didn't see this place then so it must be new. I had the Crème Brulee Mille Crepe Cake which was good. It wasn't the best crepe cake I ever had but it was definitely tasty and I would have it again. My husband got the Passionfruit Pineapple Tea which had so much fresh fruit in it and I got the Guava fruit tea. They were both great! Super refreshing, and not too sweet. I did not realize there was a patio to this place until seeing other reviews just now, wish I knew that before because it was PACKED inside! Overall, great experience. Cute, trendy spot with very friendly staff! Stopped by MTea with a friend the day after New Years. They opened in downtown Princeton less than two months ago, and not only sell bubble tea/fruit tea drinks and desserts, but also have another menu for sushi and other entree foods. My friend ordered a pomegranate green tea and it was aesthetic and fresh, with real pomegranate seeds. The drink was enjoyable (though towards the end she felt that it was actually a bit too much pomegranate). The inside of MTea is not very big but was comfortable to sit down and chat, and when we came it was still decorated for the holidays. There is also a back door opening up to a really nice seating area that would be great in warmer weather. read more

My favorite place to get drinks and sushi at Princeton! Great atmosphere, wonderful and quick service. Plenty of places to sit, with an adorable well hidden outdoor patio in the back.
