There is no practitioner better in the South Sound/Tacoma area for Physical Therapy than Carter…read morePeckham. I initially saw her when dealing with Frozen Shoulder, having been referred first to a big box PT practitioner who gave me a band and strengthening exercises, making my shoulder worse. What I needed, and what Carter knew, is that my shoulder needed stretching, not strengthening. I stayed the course of being stretched by Carter in her office and stretching on my own at home with the exercises she sent home with me and gradually got better. Each new level of recovery was met expertly with new stretches and I regained the use of my shoulder joint and arm. It was a no brainer who I would see when I was involved in a rear end collision nearly 2 years ago as well as with the 2 times I have been hit since. Carter's treatments are full range from hands on stretching to the use of props as well as applied heat or ice and TENS-unit stimulation and craniosacral work. When some stretch doesn't help, Carter keeps trying until we find one that does. Carter is patient, firm, empathetic and friendly. Her knowledge of anatomy is vast. I feel lucky to be in her care and recommend her without hesitation.

I will tell you that Carter is extremely hands on, knowledgable, and diligent in her care. She is very experienced, she has a lot of tricks in her bag and she will always work incredibly hard to address whatever has brought you in. Her level of care and skill is unparalleled in her field, and the contrast to the quality and intensity of therapy you receive compared to the "big box" style PT clinic cannot be overstated. Carter's practice has literally been a lifesaver/game changer for many people I know as well. NEPT is tops, I would not go anywhere else.

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unprofessional and Discriminatory Treatment…read more I am writing to formally express my concern and disappointment regarding the way I was treated during my recent visit to Elite Physical Therapy. I have been a patient of your clinic for nearly 10 years, returning as needed. Over that time, I have consistently paid for services both through insurance and out-of-pocket, including recent visits where I paid approximately $120 per session and $135 for my initial evaluation. I have always met my financial obligations. During my most recent visit, I informed your office that I would be approximately 10 minutes late. Upon arrival, I was told my session would be reduced to 15 minutes, which did not work for my schedule. Despite this, I was still willing to proceed and pay any applicable fee. I was not previously informed of any $40 late or no-show fee. However, what occurred next was completely unacceptable. The moment I entered the clinic, I was not greeted professionally or addressed by name. Instead, I was immediately confronted about payment in a loud and public manner. While standing at the front desk, a staff member stated loudly, in front of other patients, "You need to pay the $40 fee before we see you." This drew unnecessary attention and caused other patients to turn and look at me. This approach was humiliating and implied that I was unwilling or unable to pay my bill, which is entirely untrue. I have never had an issue paying for services and have consistently handled payment either before or after my visits. Being addressed in this way--publicly and without discretion--was deeply disrespectful. Additionally, as a minority, the tone and manner in which I was spoken to felt discriminatory and demeaning. It created a hostile and uncomfortable environment. No patient should feel singled out or judged in this way. I also want to share that I am currently going through an extremely difficult time, having lost my wife just two months ago. I came to your clinic seeking care and support, and instead left feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and emotionally distressed. When I raised my concern, I was told that the staff member "did not mean it that way." Respectfully, intent does not excuse the impact. The experience itself was inappropriate and unacceptable. After many years as a patient, I expected a higher level of professionalism, respect, and discretion. I respectfully request the following: * A formal acknowledgment of this incident * A clear explanation of your patient communication and payment policies * Assurance that staff are trained to address patients privately and respectfully * Clarification as to whether this reflects standard practice within your clinic I hope this matter is taken seriously so that no other patient has a similar experience. Sincerely, Seon Smith

They were honest with me about what could and what could not be done. I was impressed with the knowledge and soothed by the kindness of all three therapists. My fiancee is stationed at JBLM and needs to continue his PT. He called this place after finding this place through his insurance he gave them a call and interrogated them, which is his standard procedure. His first impression? The receptionist picked up and sounded confident, a plus in his books. Well the result of that call is that he became a patient! He has been here about 6 times. He comes in, signs in and doesn't even get a chance to sit down as they already call him in! The only person who is ever in the waiting room for more than 2 minutes is me! I've seen multiple different patients come in and they are all treated the same. The ladies are kind and courtesy and have a bond with each patient. They are even kind to me, offering me coffee on some days. And they spend about 1.5 hours with my fiancee, who is recovering from a rotator cuff surgery. They give him a heated massage in the beginning and towards the end make him do exercises in their exercise room, which has a couple of flat beds, weights, a lat pull down machine, stair stepper, treadmill and other equipment. They take therapy seriously! Parking is a breeze, restrooms don't need keys, scheduling is simple. I and he have no conplaints about this place. They even have a fresh newspaper and ample magazines! I truly hope more people come to this office. Be on the lookout for his review!

I have went through two extended injury rehabs and currently about half way through the third, rotator cuff surgery, with these wonderful people. I have spent a lot of time with, and gotten to know, all of the three PTs and the support staff. Every one of them actually care about my success and treat me like was the most important patient they have. Truth be told, I'm just another burned out 76 year old has been athlete who used up his body in his youth. I have no regrets, and I seriously recommend you consider these professionals for your needs! Cameron, Maria, and Brittany REALLY know their stuff. Each one has been a blessing for me.

I called to make an appointment and Connor was amazing! He pretty much figured out all I needed to do (i.e. insurance/referral/copay etc) got me on the books that week and got me started on my way to recovery. My first appointment arrives and I'm a little nervous, mostly because I'm praying my injury isn't too bad? I meet Dan and we go over my injury and what occurred, he's super attentive and right away makes me confident in my choice of calling A2. It took me over 3 weeks to see the Sport Medicine/ Orthopedics doctor that my primary care provider referred me to (which I think is ridiculous) so I could get an official diagnosis and imaging= moderate medial gastrocnemius tear with a medium residual hematoma. If I hadn't took the initiative and found Dan and A2, my recovery would have been long and drawn out and could have potentially caused further damage and/or surgery. I'm currently at 6 weeks since my injury and feel almost 100%!

The amount of relief I got after one visit I brought my wife next time because we were both in a car accident and told her he was amazing and when she got in the car, the first thing she said is you're right, you know that never comes out very often. So that there says amazing. She got amazing. Relief to after just one visit with Ron. I look forward to seeing Ron every week and if they had a word better than amazing I would use it. you will not be disappointed in going and seeing him, I'm kind of nervous telling everybody because I don't want him to get too busy. lol but I think we should all get to experience Ron if we're in serious pain because like I said he's amazing and his personality is pretty good too. He has a bright light that you can see. That is really nice to be around for at least that hour thanks Ron you are much appreciated, brother.
