We went on this ride during the month of December so it was called the Jingle Cruse. We had a lightening lane so we got to move up on the one a lot faster. Even with a lightening lane it's still a little wait. Under 15 minutes which was good. We didn't want to waste time waiting in line. The say we went it was sprinkling on and off. It was off when we rode this ride, but they also have roofs on the ride so it wouldn't have mattered. We were the last to board so we sat on the steps, a bit dirtier than the other seats, but we also didn't have to scoot in at all. Good thing the ground had drives or the seats would have been muddy. There is at least one boat that can take a wheelchair on the boat without having the person transfer. That was the boat before us. The ride is entertaining as always. The cruise director was funny and light hearted. She had us laughing in our seats, even when things stopped due to having to unload the guests that took extra time in the boats in front of us. I still love the animatronic animas. The elephants look so real. This is one of those must do rides on every trip. We haven't been on it in forever so it was time to give it a ride again. read more

I think this is one of the original rides. It's popular so it can get busy. It's a boat tour but you won't necessarily get wet. There's a boat driver/tour guide and he talks you thru the tour. It's a funny speel and if you have young kids with you it's good for them. You see any animals that you would think you see in a jungle along the ride. The Jungle Cruise is one of the classic Disney amusement park rides. This is where you go through a slow moving boat ride through the jungle as you see lots of animals and others in their environment. This is a very punny ride and the jungle cruise skippers always have the best one-liners. I was lucky enough to get a fast pass for this ride. I think usually the wait it is about 90 minutes or so if you don't. I don't know if I would wait 90 minutes but unless that's something nostalgic for you in might be worth that long wait. Otherwise, definitely make sure to make your fast pass selections through the My Disney Experience app. I remember as a kid being so fascinate by all the animals on the ride so there's a lot of nostalgia. read more

I honestly can't say that it's a timeless ride. It's purely meant for laughs, and amusement. It's an easy boat ride as you journey through a jungle river to view animatronic jungle creatures in their fantasy habitat. You do hear and see some actual birds every now and then. It's fun when you have a seasoned skipper that delivers lines with great comedic timing. With that said, Skipper Matt was so awesome! This was probably the best Jungle Cruise ride I've had in my lifetime. Yes, I know it's scripted. But, it's all in the delivery. He just happened to pull it off perfectly. I'm not sure that I saw any changes to this ride. The line is still long, but it's shaded. Just check the app when the wait time is low. The water has always been a murky green. They still fill the boat up to capacity. The last person on the boat gets the honor of sitting on the step where every other foot has trampled on. Fortunately, I found a nice space to sit across from that step that was in the middle of the boat. Yay! All in all, it's a relaxing ride in a shaded boat. You get to see the backside of water, which actually looks the same as the frontside. There's a cool mist from the waterfall. It takes about 10 minutes to ride, and maybe 5 minutes to disembark depending on how many riverboats are in front of you. This is when your skipper shines even more. The cast member has to come up with more scripted jokes to pass the time away. They interact with you as well. It's always a fun ride. read more

Super fun to get a ride on this during a big rain storm. The line had died down we so got in line and on the boat in about 15 minutes. It was dark as well, so it was a different vibes. The character/captain of the boat was hilarious, her script was too funny! She had us cracking up. The ride is around 10-12 minutes (as she said) The kids loved seeing the real lifelike jungle animals, it is also relaxing to be on the water. Definitely recommend. read more

I took my son to Disney for the first time and it was pretty adorable how much he loved this ride!! He was talking about the jokes for hours/days after the ride. Our guide Holly was super fun and engaging. I give them a lot of credit for keeping that energy up for about 1,000 rides throughout the day. They pack you in tight on these boats and it works to get a lot of people on that thing at one time. There was a bit of a boat backup once we were on and Holly still did a wonderful job of keeping things going, even with the unplanned for additonal time. read more

On a Monday, we waited until the evening to ride Jungle Cruise. There was no wait in the queue and we were able to walk onto the ride! This ride is approximately 10 minutes and you sail the river on your riverboat. The skipper takes the helm and will provide entertainment throughout your journey! This ride is a slow, water ride. It's a family fun ride with no height restrictions! You'll see a variety of animatronics during the entire ride. The skipper provides some great fun! Jungle Cruise will change theme during the holiday season which is awesome! This ride is one of the most popular rides in Magic Kingdom Disney World. Jungle Cruise, the best cruise there is! This is located in Magic Kingdom, over in Adventureland, and is your ride for a casual, lazy, laugh-filled, pun-tastic attraction. This is one of my favorite rides and I make a point to ride every time we are at Magic Kingdom. This line can get very long at times and the line is completely outside. Most of the line if not all of it, is covered but it can get hot in the summer. Hopefully the fans are turned on. The actual line is very narrow, and you are right next to everyone else in line. They also have the lightening lane that can be purchased. I would say skip the lightening lane, because if it is long, give it a few hours and the line will go down. You ride a boat through different rivers of the world with your skipper. They have many animatronic animals throughout the entire ride. The enjoyment of the ride is really determined by your skipper and the other guests on the boat. I have always had a great skipper, but I have had times when my group is the only people laughing. It almost makes for an uncomfortable experience. You have to get past the cheesy puns, because this is what they are known for. This is a fun and pun filled experience. Just go with it. The skippers I will say are always energetic, they are fun, and they are there for it. They love their job. My only issue is the speaker. The speakers on the boats are terrible, it is loud and so hard to hear especially in the back of the boat. It is time to update them to better speakers. This ride is so popular, Disney made a movie based on the ride. I absolutely love this ride, it's fun, its belly laughing and just a really good time. If you want to continue the journey, head over to Skipper Canteen for lunch or dinner, but make a reservation first. read more

WISH FOR MORE HOLIDAY CHEER We recently rode the Jingle Cruise (aka Jungle Cruise with a holiday overlay). This slow boat ride is a Disney classic with lots of clunky animatronic animals and faded sets. The holiday overlay included a few strings of holiday lights along the queue, punny renaming of the boats, some dusty Christmas décor and monkeys and gorillas dressed in holiday garb. Our crew of park guests laughed along with our funny punny captain who did not add much holiday humor to his schtick. This ride usually has long lines. We visited on a Thursday (off peak week) that fell on a Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party day (which usually means a lighter than usual day crowd). The Festival of Fantasy Parade was taking place and our wait time was 1/2 hour. It shot up to a one hour wait once the parade passed and park guests rushed back to the rides. read more

Exactly as advertised...and then some! This is a ~10 minute casual lazy river-style cruise through a jungle on a riverboat. You get to see many sights and you get to hear many MANY cringe-tastic puns from your riverboat captain! This ride is peak camp, a must-ride for all Disney visitors, and is so great it inspired an entire movie off of this ride! What more could you ask for?? I was convinced after riding this ride that many a stand-up comedian got their start working at the Jungle Cruise. Upon further research, there were definitely a handful that worked at the Jungle Cruise that you might recognize nowadays! It's a classic. You have to experience it once at least. Highly recommend doing it at. night - it's a very different experience and you'll have a much shorter wait. I highly suggest asking to sit close to the front as the back half has the the boat's motor which is incredibly loud and you'll miss most of your skippers monolog which basically makes the ride pointless. read more

For a guy like me this is a great little ride... it is nonstop pun after dad joke after pun! Like why doesn't Cinderella play soccer? Because her coach is a pumpkin and she keeps running away from the ball! Seriously it is joke after joke. The ride is interesting... slow, a bunch if wild life scenes and really not much to do but sit and listen to the one liners. Like... why did the guy quit the donut shop? He was tired of the Hole thing! It would have been better if it wasn't just the guy droning through all the scripted lines... but I'm sure after doing it for days and over and over it is hard to keep up any real energy. What do you call a guy in a suit with a brief case up in a tree? A branch manager!! Half the time he was just going through it all at such a pace that it was hard to really understand him. How do you identify a dogwood tree? By its bark! But it was cute... and I love a good (or bad) dad joke so for me this was truly funny! For my family it was a little on the groaning side. read more

Not sure why this ride always has such a long line. It's alright, very dependent on if your "boat captain" is funny or not. Corny jokes while you ride through the water and see fake animals. Also the wait in line has no theming and nothing really to look at. With so many great rides in Magic Kingdom and the long wait time now for this ride I would skip. read more

Good Family Entertainment From what I can recall not much has changed since 1987 on my first trip here with this ride. 5 Stars for our Boat Captain had good energy and made a good amount of comedy to entertain guests. It's a peaceful ride down a stream with some artificial elephants, gorillas and other things. You head out and make a turn under a waterfall and around some corners with displays and some humorous things to see. read more

Magic Kingdom (Orlando) ADVENTURELAND First time riding this attraction. It is adjacent to the Pirates of the Caribbean, another popular attraction in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom. We had a FastPass+ here so we zipped right through the lines. The boats had their own names, ours was "Ganges Gertie". This is a boat ride and it takes you on a 10-min tour of four continents including waters of the Mekong, the Amazon, Nile River and the rivers of Africa. Our Skipper was Cathy and I'm not sure if this ride is supposed to be humorous or rehearsed with jokes but for us as first time riders Cathy was funny and looked like she threw in a few ad-libs too, although some were a bit corny. Our guide, Skipper Cathy, took us on our jungle Cruise passing through hippo infested waters, but don't worry, audio-animatronics were used on these animal displays. On the shore there's a rhino keeping the hunters "busy," lions lounging on a rock, headhunters, zebras, snakes and giant butterflies all surrounding a tropical jungle landscape. One of my husband's favorites, the Jungle Cruise experience really is dependent on your guide. The jokes are hit or miss, usually corny or dad jokes, but still a fun experience overall. Warning, it can get very hot and if it rains, you can get wet depending on where you're sitting on the boat. read more

One of the more classic rides for MK, it has been a staple for years and hasn't changed much at all. I love this one in so much as it is a classic and is consistent, however, we don't usually bother riding it because it's not necessarily a go-to ride for us. There isn't anything bad about it, but there are others we'd go on first. They always have a fun narrator that keeps puns going throughout the whole ride. The boat is on a track through the water, so it's smooth and really good for any age. Animatronics are everywhere on this one, from elephants to 'safari tourists.' The wait time is usually pretty low and it's a quick on and off ride, so it's good for a fun trip. The line and the ride itself are both outside, so it's not a cool off ride! Overall: A A classic ride. Not a go-to for us, but it is fun! read more

Reading past reviews comment about "never having much of a line" are amusing. After the 2021 movie was released, this ride's line is usually one of the longer ones in the park. Adults can probably skip this, unless they've never done it before, then it is worth a shot. It's still fun for kids. The dark cave area can be scary for small children especially those on the left side of the boat (for a specific reason). The updates made in 2020-2021 to remove various elements did make the ride more bland. Also the microphone quality could be improved. Sometimes it's difficult to hear/understand the bad puns just because it's garbled over the microphone. Probably time to go to quieter boat motors too. read more

Yeah I like some of the newer rides like Mine Train... buuut this ride never fails to make me smile. It is a guided tour that doesn't take itself too seriously. The is one of the original attractions that Walt Disney created for Disneyland and transplanted to Walt Disney World. Known for the "dad jokes" and "puns" by the skippers that take you on the journey. Because each skipper ad libs some of their "spiel", each voyage can be a little different. There are plenty of the jokes that you will hear each time however. On our most recent trip we got to experience the "Jingle Cruise" for the first time. A holiday overlay including some decorations throughout and renaming of the boats with holiday themed names. The jokes also get a holiday themed makeover. It was an entertaining change and a nice way to plus the normal attraction. Lines can get a little long and for repeat adventurers, easy to bypass. I recommend this tame attraction unless there is a long wait. 20-30 minutes it reasonable and probably won't leave disappointed. read more

Great ride! The line is terrible to wait in though! It's in the heat with not tons of shade and it can move slow.

This must be one of the most overrated rides at the Magic Kingdom. It wasn't that popular before the movie came out. But now the lines are extremely long. The boat ride itself is rather boring unless you're into fake-laughing at some corny, punny jokes while looking at plastic animals. I wanted my son to ride it at least once but he wasn't thrilled either so we'll probably skip that one moving forward. read more

The jungle cruise is one of my favorite Magic Kingdom rides. Lines for this attraction are pretty long but worth the wait. You can lightning lane it if you so choose. Once you get into a safari boat with an outlandish name your tour guide cracks jokes as you make your way through the different rivers in search of adventure. Note there are hidden Mickeys on this ride especially in the cave. You ride along tropical foliage where you will find a python wrapped around a tree. A group of expeditioners are scurrying up a pole with the point of a rhino trying to pierce the bottoms of the lowermost man. A camp has been overrun with chimps. Some of the scenes have been updated including the removal of trader Sam. However, you can still see the elephants bathing and one about the come up out of the water and "attempt" to "squirt" you! The hippos are around too and when your tour guide "shoots" one with his rifle he falls back into the water. All along you hear the appropriate animal sounds and sounds of the jungle. Perhaps the iconic part of all is seeing a never before wonder-"the back side of water!" You had already cruised the front of this waterfall one way and the other side falls over a tunnel crevice designed for your boat to go through and see this great site!! The last part of your tour takes you into a treasure cave. Does some of the things in here look familiar? Well if you rode the "Great movie ride" that once was in the Hollywood studios they moved a lot of the Indiana Jones set including the snakes and put them here! This is really not only an enjoyable ride but a great way to beat the heat and stay cool for a 10 minute cruise. It is classic Disney at its best! read more
