Peter Pan's Flight was our very first ride at Magic Kingdom, and I'm honestly so glad we started with this one! I'll admit, I had never really watched Peter Pan before this trip (I know! ), but that didn't stop us from being excited to experience the ride. We waited about 25 minutes, which felt like a win because the line got MUCH longer later in the day. Even the queue itself was adorable. Walking through the Darling family's home was such a cute touch, and I especially loved the interactive shadow effect while waiting. It was so simple but really well done. The ride itself was short, but incredibly cute and whimsical. There's something so fun about being in the little ship and flying over Neverland. My daughter absolutely loved it. Definitely a great ride to hit early if you can. And if you're a Peter Pan fan, I imagine it's even more magical! read more

Peter Pan's Flight is one of my favorite rides at Magic Kingdom, Disney World. You'll find this ride in Fantasyland, directly across from It's A Small World attraction. The wait time for this ride is typically 45 minutes, however, the walk through queue is totally worth it. If you've ever been to the Disneyland version of Peter Pan's Flight, you'll be in awe at how beautiful and stunning the queue line is for Peter Pan's Flight at Magic Kingdom. This ride is a slow, dark ride. The ride takes you through the Peter Pan story. You'll soar above the rooftops of London and see some of the favorite characters from the movie such as Peter Pan, Wendy, Tinker Bell, and Captain Hook. The attention to detail on this ride is stunning. The miniature sets, intricate animatronics are amazing. You'll also notice that Ariel is featured in the attraction as one of the mermaids. Towards the end of the ride, you'll see that Wendy is rescued! This ride is relatively quick, perhaps less than 5 minutes. This is a great ride though! read more

When you see the line, you're probably asking yourself one big question. Why is this ride so popular? Well, it actually isn't. It's just operated less efficiently than other rides. It's slower, and the seating capacity per pirate galleon is very limited. They can't speed it up because it would make the ride way too shorter than it already is. But hey, it has been updated since the last time I was there. Waiting in line doesn't seem as bad now that there's an indoor queue. It's cool to see the Darling's home as you're walking through the hallways looking at family portraits. The wait for us was 35 minutes, since we took advantage of early entry to the park. The ride opens at 8:30 am. Just about everyone that was waiting for the rope drop on the bridge near Cinderella Castle seemed to be headed that way. It was a 45-60 minute wait after we finished the ride. If you feel that this is too long, then I recommend getting a Genie+ Lightning Lane. Many people actually do that. It's worth it. The ride is nostalgic, and fun! You're flying over Big Ben, and you're in Neverland before you know it. This ride never gets old in my eyes. I feel the same way I did when I was kid riding it for the first time. I'll never pass this one up. read more

We saw a long line for this ride so we thought it was something really fun. We eventually came back to try it out and found that it was a slow ride similar to the Little Mermaid ride not too far away. There wasn't much excitement or any action at all. This could be fun if you're a Peter Pan fan but I don't think it's worth it if you're waiting a long time. read more

It's worth the wait, and every time we've been, we've had to wait. Before the ride had an extended wait area (the outside and inside of Wendy's home), the ride itself was the main draw. It transports you back to childhood and Neverland, where one does NOT grow up. Now, waiting in line inside the interior of the house, and watching Tinkerbell flit about in the bedroom, is also entertaining. The wait is more bearable. During CoVid, the line looks longer than it is - social distancing. Every other flying ship is used (unless you are in the same party) to keep social distancing in force. So don't be dismayed by the line and think it's not worth it. It moves quickly! And it's safe. But if you are afraid of heights walk on by. read more

Love this ride! Your vehicle is a pirate ship and you fly over a ton of different Peter Pan scenes so it feels like a proper journey through the entire movie. This ride is just SO short though, honestly TOO short! We got a lightning lane for this ride and so it ended up being a walk on. From the moment we got on the ride to the moment we got off of it...I'm not even sure if it was a full 2 minutes?! It is truly so fast and often times has looooong wait times for it (like normally 45 minutes), so it doesn't feel too worth it. I would say if you've watched Peter Pan, you've ridden this ride. It's fun, but it's just a repeat of the movie with a little more of an immersive experience. So unless the wait time is like 5-10 minutes or you have lightning lane, this ride IS skippable. read more

I rode this ride twice. This was the second ride I rode after Seven Dwarves Mine Train at rope drop. The wait was about 30 minutes, which is short given wait times does go over 60 minutes. It's a unique ride where you're hanging from the ceiling. It's a flying pirate ship from Peter Pan, what did you expect? Essentially go through the entire Peter Pan story in a 10 minute ride. Reason I point out that I rode this twice, when I rode it again after the fireworks, I noticed that this ride was sped up and we flew through the entire place. Maybe because the line was too long? So I recommend riding it during the day or before the lines get ridiculous. Or buy Genie+. read more

This is still a must-see ride for all young children (and for others who have never gone on it). The queue area (the Darlings house / bedroom) was actually one of our 3 year olds favorite attractions in the entire park. She kept talking about how she got to go inside their house and see their beds/toys. The ride itself is mostly unchanged in decades. And yet it's still enjoyable. There's something special for a small child to feel like they're flying high up in the sky, in a pirate ship. The line is always long so it's recommended to visit this ride immediately upon park opening, or using the Genie+ service (new "paid" Fastpass). Peter Pan's flight is immensely popular with children which is why it is located in Fantasyland. That being said there's always a long line to get on it. Course you can use a lightning lane to get on quicker which I did. You board a "flying pirate ship" that takes you from the children's nursery all though Londontown and then you land in Never Never land. Here you see the mermaids, yes Ariel is now among them from the Little Mermaid. Then you see the Indians-I was hoping to see Pocohantas but she wasn't there. Onward to the story where you meet Captain Hook, Mr. Snee and of course the crocodile! You ride through scenes where Wendy is walking the plank, Peter Pan is fighting Captain Hook, and the crocodile is lurking down below. The story has a happy ending. Wendy is rescued. Peter has saved the day and Captain Hook is holding the crocodiles jaws open with his legs. A cute little attraction. takes about 5 minutes or so to ride through it. We arrived for rope drop and I had scheduled fast passes starting a bit later in the day. We did the other rides we wanted to do first, but noticed the wait for the one was 10 minutes. I had previously been on this ride, probably 15 years ago, but didn't remember it that well. As you wait in line, you wind through the house and the kids bedrooms. The vehicle you ride in looks like a ship. I'd describe this ride as very tame and unremarkable. You fly through Never Land in your buggy and witness various scenes from Peter Pan. This ride is showing it's age a bit and could use a refresher. I would not wait in line for this ride more than 20 minutes. read more

So, I know I'm going against the grain here but I just can't find a reason to fall in love with this ride. Nostalgia? Sure. Whimsical? Sure. Worth the 90+ mine wait it always has? No. The recent revamp of this ride and it's queue definitely brought some life back to this one. They have both interactive and themed distractions once you've past the outside portion. They still cram everyone way too tight and way too close for way too long, in my opinion. For the actual ride you'll go over top a city scene then off to Neverland and back. It's dated and you are limited to what you can see by which side you sit on. There's no pictures and no store after. Overall: C- Dated, too long of a line and not enough excitement make this one a meh ride for me. read more

(My husband has fond memories) In standby you'll enjoy being inside the Darlings room and Tinkerbell comes to visit, opening drawers and activating toys. You can fly, you can fly, you can fly! When I think about rides that put a smile on my face regardless of how many times I ride it, Peter Pan immediately comes to mind. This is a classic, original Disney dark ride and in my book, it is the gold standard for Fantasyland dark rides. You board a boat and, just like magic, you begin to fly in the air above London on your way to Neverland where you can relive the childhood movie classic through various scenes. Even though the ride is "dated", it has so much charm and the animatronics and scenery is still some of the best in the park, in my opinion. Sometimes you can't beat the originals no matter what new technology comes around. Many reviews discuss the line, and that is this ride's biggest drawback. We don't get a fastpass for this ride, but it is usually the second or third ride for us in the day, so the line is only about 20min. I suggest securing a fastpass if you don't want to ride first thing in the morning or to hit this ride first/second (maybe Peter Pan then Snow White, or vice versa). Any way you do it, don't pass this one up! read more

Let's be honest, the ride is outdated but that's what makes it so freaking nostalgic and amazing. The queue to be able to ride was over an hour and a half long (the longest line I stood in all day!). I rode it once and was satisfied. I feel Disney should try and re-vamp the queue line area. It's super, SUPER old and would be nice to have it more modernized with possibly more interactive things for everyone to enjoy while waiting (thank GOD for the A/C). Once you get on the ride, the scene is set in the Darling children's bedroom, then soaring over their neighborhood leads you to an aerial view of London. Finally, you end in Neverland. I love this ride; this is the best character ride in Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom. The one downside though are the lines! Slowest moving line ever so you should strongly think about getting a fast pass. Riding Peter Pan's flight feels like you are in the movie- "Up up and away. Here we go"! The one thing about that line is that it gets stuck in your head. Standing in line though is kind of cool because there are a lot of things to see, like pictures of the characters on the wall and neat little props from the movie. Once you board your ship, you enter Wendy's bedroom and out through the window and into the sky; quick tip, Nana the dog can be spotted down below waving goodbye to you. Suddenly, you are flying over the city of London; the whole scenery is such an impressive sight; all the sparkling lights and the Tower of London too. What I love is flying over Neverland; the crocodile, the ship, the kids on the ship and Tinkerbell waving her magic wand in the air. This ride is beyond fun and definitely one of my favorites. I just have to say it, I don't like all the glowing neon / blacklight characters that have been added to all these older dark rides. I feel it gives a really cheesy look to these classic rides. That being said, I still think Peter Pan's Flight is really charming. I love the feeling of flying on the ship and going over the city of London at night! It's really fun and magical. Sure, the technology might be old, but if you can suspend disbelief and pretend to be a kid, it still shines for me. This ride has low capacity and standby wait times can get very long! I got a FastPass for this ride last time we were at Disney but you might be able to skip a super long line by rope-dropping it. Peter Pan's Flight is a very different kind of dark ride. The pirate galleon ship is suspended from a track on the ceiling making it seem as if you're flying through the air over the scenes (once Tinkerbell dusts you with pixie dust). You can fly, you can fly, you can fly!!! It has a lot of fun scenes you travel over including London, Never Land & the mermaids swimming in the sea. My favorite scene is Captain Hook standing on the mouth of Tic Tock. This ride was opened on opening day of Disney World and honestly not much has changed since it first began! The line for this ride moves slowly and the line builds up fast. I recommend riding this first thing when the park opens and scheduling a fast pass if you'd like to ride again. This was our first stop on our first day at the Magic Kingdom. Yes, the nostalgia factor is high - but this is also a really great ride! The line is usually long - one of the longest in the park - but Peter Pan's Flight uses Disney's continuous loading design, so you'll move along pretty quickly. However, if you see a LONG wait time, opt for the Fast Pass. We did when it started to get backed up in the afternoon. You begin in the children's nursery in London... but are quickly flying off over the city. Who doesn't love this part? Your flying boat goes back and forth over downtown London a few times - enough to allow you a good view of all the detail below. Sure, there's Big Ben - but the most magical thing for me has always been the illusion that there are hundreds of little cars driving the streets below you. The downside of Peter Pan is, of course, that the ride is short. But, there's so much detail here that is simply is a must-see.
