My sister and I have an annual shopping trip to hit the Tanger Outlets in Rehoboth, DE (we are coming from MD). I was going to back out having recently rescued a Belgian Malinois puppy (January 2024). I also have a 13 year old Malinois, who is happy spend most of his day sleeping. Well, you can see my predicament, Malinois puppy energy versus senior Malinois. I was stressing over this trip until my sister found a "sitter". Unfortunately, the sitter reconsidered, worried her four pound Dorkie would not hold up to my 70lb Mal puppy. Cus in Jungle Jim's Total Pet Care. The sitter recommended we contact Jungle Jim's to see if he was brave enough to take on Jett as a last minute drop off. How great is it that we didn't need to contract x amount of days, this one off was perfectly acceptable. Jim made it very easy. Any question was answered quickly, sending vaccine and vet documents, easy. Friday morning we arrived to a very convenient location to where we would be shopping (10 minutes or so out of Rehoboth) and on the main drag. This is important to me because I get lost in a paper bag! Jett was all wiggles meeting Cassidy, and Cassidy asked all the right questions (is she a jumper, biter, plays well with others...). Cassidy seemed genuinely excited to have Jett for the day (she is truly a gem of a dog). The facility is clean and very pet friendly. I was kept updated on Jett's day; playing, napping, body functions . when we picked her up, she was fast asleep in the front window, she looked completely worked out (that's always the goal with. Mal). We met Jim and one of Jett's walkers. I couldn't have been happier with the positive report on my pup. if you ever find yourself in a bind for a daycare option or boarding site while vacationing at the DE beaches, I highly recommend Jungle Jim's. My husband and I can not say enough wonderful things about Taj Ma Howl- Jungle Jim's Total Care. We recently became parents to our sweet and lovably puppy-Teddy. My husband works long hours, I travel for work at times, and we do enjoy vacationing throughout the year. Our biggest concern was finding a daycare/ pet hotel service where we felt comfortable leaving Teddy when in need, and someone that can be flexible in hours. The first time I spoke to Jim, it felt like we had known each other for a long time. He really put my husband and I at ease, and you could tell he really loves what he does. We knew Teddy would be in great hands at Jungle Jim's. We first left Teddy at Jungle Jim's Care for a few weekdays, and then we recently boarded him for over a week while on vacation. Jim kept in close contact with us throughout our vacation, sending us pictures, and keeping us informed of the new friends Teddy had made throughout his stay. Mom and dad were not the only ones on vacation, so was Teddy. He was taken on several walks throughout the day, enjoyed walks on the beach, and had playtime with other dogs staying at the facility. Jim will match up your dogs accordingly with other dogs similar size, and personalities. Prior to picking up Teddy from his week long stay, Jim made sure all of his bedding, toys, and bed were washed and ready to go by the time we picked him up. That was an extra added bonus.. Jungle Jim's is surely our go to place, and we already have several dates scheduled on the calendar. We have recommended Jungle Jim's to several people already, and will continue to do so. I can not say enough fantastic things about Jungle Jim's Total Pet Care. My Vizsla is 12 years old and has never been kenneled. I was in a bind and was traveling to Colorado for 1 week and almost had to cancel the trip as I could not find anyone to watch my V and also my kitten that I had just rescued. I found Jungle Jim's Total Pet Care and immediately Jim made me feel comfortable. I went to meet him and visit the facility and could not have been more impressed. When I say Kennel you do not get a Kennel vibe as his facility hosts suites and plays relaxing music. My Vizsla is old and has to urinate quite frequently and Jim went above and beyond to care for him for the 8 days he was there. Walking him constantly and even gave him a therapeutic massage that really helped his muscles! He also sent daily pictures with updates. Even though this is a place for dogs he gladly cared for my recently adopted kitten and my Vizsla and Kitten were able to stay in the same suite together. I can not say enough good things about Jungle Jim's and highly recommend this place if you love your animals like I do and consider them apart of your family! Jungle Jim's was a lifesaver! I recently took a trip to OCMD and we were staying at a Condo that did not allow pets. I still wanted to bring my babies along so I had them booked at a Dog Hotel for the week and thought everything was set. When I arrived at that facility and took a tour, I took my Dogs back with me because I refused to let them stay at a place that smelled and felt like a Humane Society. I immediately started googling Pet Hotels and after reading the reviews and looking at the Website,I called and spoke to the owner who made room for us last minute and answered all of my questions! I drove 35 mins to Jungle Jim's in Dewey Beach! When I walked in I was greeted by the owner and given a tour. My dogs were calm and were able to stay in an enclosed area that wasn't a cage and they didn't feel trapped. They had bones and treats and I brought their bed so they would feel comfortable! The facility was beautiful and I loved that they could walk on the beach and were so well taken care of! Music was playing in the background and the rest of the dogs there were chilling and happy! I got texts and pictures of my babies and it allowed me to enjoy my vacation without having to worry about them! The hours are amazing, I would have paid double for what I received and I would use them again in a heartbeat! Thank you so much for taking such great care of my babies!!! I had the pleasure of meeting Jim and touring his business because I like to see how a company treats its clients(dogs) before I board my pet! What I observed was 1. The visibility of the facility: You could walk in at any time during business hours and see how your dog was doing not to mention the large windows in front which shows you how the employees are interacting with its clients. 2. The flexibility: Jim is available to call or text if something changes and he answers back in timely friendly manner. He is also very accommodating in pickups and drop offs. 3. The cleanliness: the dog areas are clean and well taken care of. The total atmosphere is welcoming and doesn't have that we are only here for your money feel. 4. Animal interaction: The clients seem happy with the great experience of walks and play time and having people who actually love them. I would totally recommend his service to everyone. The staff actually cares about their clients and the facilities are wonderful. I love the fact that it's convenient, clean and happy! He will be getting all of my business for now on. Jim provided the perfect solution for me and my dog while visiting the Delaware beaches for 5 days (we came from Philadelphia - late July 2019). This was my first time in 4 years of owning my dog that I took him for overnight care and I couldn't be happier. First, he was amazing with my dog (a big 80-lbs dog, very sweet but also emotional). It's like my dog got to go on vacation. He even came back home eating better than he had before our trip! Second, the place is perfect - very clean (no dog smell even!) - no cages or kennels. My dog had his own space where he could run and stretch. I chose a spot where he could see and be around all the people and animals (which is good for him) but there were more isolated options too (still nice glass windows and wooden stalls). Third, Jim provides amazing service with a smile. He's flexible, affordable, easy-going, and clearly cares about the pets and the people. He had no problem with me stopping by each day the first few days to walk my dog -- but towards the end of my trip I was so comfortable leaving him I felt I didn't need to! We just returned from a one week vacation during which time I entrusted Jim with the care of my 2 yr old Great Dane (Dover). This was our very first experience boarding our dog and needless to say we were extremely cautious and nervous. Jim did an amazing job putting our minds at ease and ensuring us that our dog would be given great care during his stay. Dover had a nice large spot at the front of the store overlooking all of the activity in Dewey Beach and soon became a tourist attraction! He got to experience the beach and ocean for the first time and had numerous walks throughout the day. Jim did a fantastic job and put our minds at ease so we could enjoy our vacation. Jim was very accommodating and we could walk in at any time during business hours to see how Dover was doing. Jim also made sure to send us daily updates and pictures so we would know that everything was okay. We are very glad that we chose Jungle Jim's Pet Care as our first dog care experience. My family and I travel to the beach often but always feel guilty leaving our pet at a boarding facility back home when we do. This year, we decided to give Jungle Jim's a try so that we could include our pet in our vacation. When we arrived, we received a warm welcome from the charismatic owner himself, Jim Caperelli, complete with the weather forecast for the duration of our stay and recommendations on where to shop/dine etc. (an unexpected value add)! He then took great care in finding the best accommodation and compatible roommate for our dog, ensuring her comfort. We immediately felt comfortable leaving her in his care and knowing that with just a little notice, we could go visit and take her out with us whenever we wanted to spend time with her. We discussed her routine and needs and left with our minds at ease. Jim later updated us on our dog's well being and remained accessible at all times. Finally, we found the facility to be very clean. Jim was absolutely wonderful to this overprotective dog mom who never leaves my dog. Down to the shore for vacation in Fenwick Island for the week and wanted to spend a day in Cape May/Wildwood NJ via the Cape May-Lewes Ferry. Dogs are allowed but wanted to do some things on the boardwalk as well as enjoy a really nice dinner for my (other non-canine) daughter's birthday . The week prior to vacation I did my research and decided to give Jim a call. Left a message and he called back shortly ( it was around 9 pm) and we talked for a good 20 minutes! He satisfied all my concerns, answered all my questions, and put me at ease. Ok-I can do this. So once the Birthday day arrived, we headed up to Dewey Beach and felt extremely comfortable with Jungle Jim's Taj Ma Howl. My doggie daughter spent the day and evening. As a pet parent, it can be challenging to go on vacation and fully relax when you're too busy worrying about your furry family members being cared for. My normal boarding facility, back home in VA, was all booked up the week I had planned to be on vacation. I went into full panic mode trying to find a reputable place for Cooper (my dog) to stay while I was in Rehoboth Beach. After some searching, I found Jungle Jim's and was pleasantly surprised that the owner answered the phone when I called. He seemed so passionate and knowledgeable during our conversation, so I immediately booked a reservation for the week. Check-in was a breeze and I was given regular text and picture updates of my pooch throughout the week. I was even allowed to visit my dog any time I wanted to. I've never had such amazing service and I will be taking Cooper there any time I'm in the area. Jungle Jim's was a great safe haven for our ~4 year mixed breed rescue dog while we were at the beach this summer. We called prior to the start of the season to get the low-down for the occasional visit throughout the 2022 summer season and Jim was thorough explaining the policies and patient with our questions. The facility is clean, the runs are small (2-5 dogs per run depending on size), and we felt comfortable leaving our pup with JJ. They are a well-oiled machine with a small business feel and are also very flexible and affordable given the area. The best part of Jungle Jim's was the manager Alexa! She is professional and very caring to all the animals that come through the door. She was so sweet with our dog, we felt infinitely more comfortable leaving her knowing that she was in Alexa's caring hands. She works so hard and give the dogs a ton of attention, affection, and walks. We are very grateful to Alexa and Jungle Jim's for their great service so we could enjoy our beach season! read more

Perfect daycare spot for our two pups Jack (10 y.o. 40-lb mixed breed rescue) and Echo (18 m.o. 80-lb American yellow lab). We used their services for daycare almost everyday of our week-long vacation in Dewey. The location couldn't be more convenient--walking distance from our rental. Jim + team were incredibly responsive, personable, attentive, and accommodating. The place is clean and open. It's a little small, but Jim + team were diligent about taking the dogs for walks during their stay so they weren't cooped up. We are heavy doggie daycare users at home and have not always had the best experience with some of the businesses. We never worried for a second about our pups being there. They were excited to arrive every time we dropped them off. Our family has been vacationing in Dewey for almost 10 years and we've been hesitant to put the dogs in daycare. Jim was awesome with my 1yr old pup! Our dog stayed at the Dewey location Tues-Fri. This was our first time boarding, Jim was great at explaining the details. We took a bed/mat, blanket, bowls, food, leash. He did want to look at a printed copy of our vet records, to check for vaccinations, which I liked. He didn't mention getting a Dewey dog license, but we did before dropping him off bc we will be back! (Town hall offers daily/lifetime licenses w/ proof of Rabies vac.) He was glad to have that bc said he walks them on the beach and officers do ask. A nice detail was being able to stop in anytime to say hi to our dog, we did take him out for a good walk one day. When we returned him, I was thinking he'd be reluctant, but he ran right in to Jim and gave him a ton of licks. Success! The Dewey location has only been open for a few weeks, Jim also has employees that offer off-site dog walking etc (like coming to your house/hotel.) We will definitely use his services again. read more

I'm a little late in writing this review due to some life changing circumstances. So, Better late than never! We're from Pittsburgh, PA and we visited Dewey beach with our westie "Finn" the hottest week of July 2019. We met Jim who owns Jungle Jim's and were delighted to find out that he had opened the only full service pet spa in town. He has everything you could imagine for your doggies from walking, grooming, boarding and even after beach baths. Not to mention COOKIES and other things! We met Jim (the owner) while staying in our dog friendly unit who is an unbelievably awesome animal loving guy. I highly recommend his services as we will be using this pawsome establishment on our next trip to the beach! Thank you Jim, for helping to make our vacation a fun one!!!! Jungle Jim's Total Pet Care facility and Staff - especially Jim himself - was amazing. We needed last minute care for our 6 month old 70lb White Sheppard "puppy," Castle. I called and spoke directly to Jim and he was able to accommodate our needs IMMEDIATELY. We set up the reservation (just like at a hotel) and two days later we were starting our beach vacation and Castle was starting his beach vacation with Jungle Jim's!! The facility is spotless and all of the doggie guests were happy and extremely well taken care of. We were able visit on a daily basis, with a quick text, that was instantly answered, and spend some of our vacation with our new pup. Walks on the beach and bay were a hit with Castle as this was his first exposure to beach life. I wish I there were more than five (5) stars, because if there were Jungle Jim's Total Pet care would deserve them. My family and I traveled to Rehoboth Beach in July of 2022. We booked a week stay for our beloved dog, Charlie with Jim amd his staff in Dewey beach DE. I sincerely cant find the words to describe how happy we were with their services. Charlie has separation anxiety from his family. Jim and his staff not only cared for Charlie, but followed all of our instructions. When we called/texted Jim and or staff, we received an immediate response. Not only that, but we received pictures of our Charlie throughout the week. Our Charlie even had a summer love with other dog that was in Jim's. We are thrilled to have found Jim and his staff. My black lab/bloodhound mix spent the weekend here. I picked him up after 3 nights and he was clean and happy. I highly recommend Jungle Jim's. My first impression started out great when Jim (the owner himself) picked up when I first called in to inquire about his services. He picked up!!! A LIVE person to talk to! When does that happen today ??? He was friendly and efficient. The process of booking Jackson there was simple and hassle free! I love the fact they take the dogs for walks on the BEACH!! Also Jackson got some fun time retrieving his ball in the bay. Nothing makes my dog happier than being by the water!!! This is a win-win here. He also had indoor play time with the other dogs. Had to board my 3 dogs last minute while we were moving out of our summer rental, and Jim came through for us with shining colors. He was so great with all 3 dogs who all have very different temperaments. He treated them like we treat them, he took them for walks on the beach and around the bay and sent me texts and pics to let me know how they were doing all weekend. I would trust any of my pets with him. I'm so happy he is going to be in Dewey, he is perfectly located right in the center of the most dog friendly beach in Delaware. Instead of scrambling to find boarding at home we will be able to bring them with us and I can trust they will be well taken care of at Jungle Jim's. When we arrived at Jungle Jim's we toured the facility. Unbelievable! Beautiful- happy dogs everywhere and not an ounce of pee or poo! No odors- you could breathe!! Our dogs were excited and took to the suite right away. Jimmy and Alexa were fabulous putting our hearts and minds at ease. This was our first experience boarding our pups. Jimmy sent pictures and updates that made us laugh because we knew our dogs were content and acting as if they were home. We kept close contact with Alexa so that we could pick up the dogs for festivities. When it was time for the dogs to return- THEY WERE EXCITED- they knew Alexa and went right to her. My pups were loved and cared for the entire time. We got home and they asked, "when can we go back to Taj Ma howl?" Save us a suite same time next year!! read more
