Almost two years ago, a friend of mine moved to San Mateo and started using Junior & Cliff. When I stopped by to visit her after a cleaning, I was impressed with how thorough they were each time (which is no mean feat because she has two adorable but very fuzzy cats). A few months later, I started using Junior & Cliff for my own apartment, and I have been happy ever since. They do an incredible job, making sure every inch of my apartment was spotless, and I appreciated getting a heads up the day before that they were coming by. Unfortunately, I had to move and no longer can have them as cleaners, but I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for cleaning services around the peninsula. I am updating my review of Junior & Cliff cleaning after several years of using them. I was happy with the cleaning for a long time but in the last year I have consistently found things that were not done to the standard I expect. My house is large and I have a lot of stuff but it is never messy and I preclean every single time. I started to get the feeling they were trying to off load me so they could get more money for the time slot from someone else. However, when I told Junior that I was unhappy, he asked if they could have another chance. I would have also happily paid more to get the results I need, but they never mentioned or asked for an increase. Since then I have not been happy at all. I'm going to clean myself until I can find a new company- if you've got another lead let me know! read more

I had called Junior and Cliff's cleaning service and Cliff gave me a quote for an initial deep cleaning and monthly cleaning after that. He and his team did such a fantastic job in the initial deep clean that I had to get them to come monthly. On the first visit they clearly told me the things they would clean/not clean (e.g, they don't typically the inside of the fridge, or inside closets). They do an excellent job cleaning - everything is so bright and shiney when I walk in the door! They dust and scrub all surfaces including pictures, shelves. They are really fast and very efficient. They typically have a team of 5-7 people and everyone works in different rooms at the same time - so they prefer if you are out of the place when they are working so as not to slow them down. They will also change bedding if you leave it out. Junior is great about texting via phone the evening before and reminding you that they will be there the next day. I have absolutely no hesitation at all in recommending them for residential cleaning! read more

3.5 years ago my wife and I reluctantly agreed to hire a housekeeper due to an increasingly busy schedule. We found Junior & Cliff by word of mouth, they were in high demand, and they worked us in to their very busy schedule. We were immediately impressed with their professionalism, speed, accuracy, and caring attitude in both cleaning our home and towards us as our needs changed. When we moved 2 years ago, we made sure they would carry their services to our new home. These fine people are the best housekeepers we have ever hired over the course of 15 years. They are fair, honest, and caring. Treat them well and they will pay you in kind and then some. My only regret is now that we are moving out of the Foster City/San Mateo area is that we can't take them with us to take care of our new home. Cliff and Junior's Quality cleaning is the new name of Cliff's quality cleaning. He has taken on a partner since he got so busy. We have been using Cliff and Juniors ( Junior for the last 8 months or so) and they are dependable and do a great job. They even helped me coordinate a Salvation Army pick up that occurred during their cleaning time! If something needs special attention, just let them know and they will take care of it. They always do something special with my son's stuffed animals so he loves them! We are very happy with the cleaning and flexibility. We have been using Cliff Quality Cleaning for a number of months now for our Corporate Apartments. They have a high quality of work and are extremely trustworthy. Cliff communicates with you to ensure you know what time he'll be there, the night before. If anything comes up during the cleaning process, they immediately inform you and send pictures if necessary. For instance, they were dusting our vanity lights once and one of the lightbulbs exploded. They cleaned up after the break, removed the damaged lightbulb and sent me a picture re-assuring me no damage was done to the mechanism that goes into our fixture or any damage to our fixture. That shows quality in both communication and cleaning services! I appreciated this very much. We were lucky to have found them and their willingness to work with us as a company -- were the invoice process is very demanding. My husband and I have used Cliff's team (now Junior & Cliff's Quality Cleaning) twice a month for about 2 years now. We are very happy with their services and give them the highest the recommendation. I am a bit paranoid about who has access to our place, especially when we are not around, but their team has always taken great care of our home. We initially met Cliff to run through the house in person, discuss what we needed, and set the price. In my opinion, the price is absolutely worth the service we receive. Most of the time we are at work when the team comes by, but when I am home they are efficient and respectful, and are in and out in under an hour (~1300sq ft condo). Cliff and Junior take their business very seriously and are professional. If there's something you want focused on or have a particular request, they are happy to comply.
