The one that only treat them like a paycheck dosent care about the residents. They hurt them and the mangment doesnt care. Some medaids makes the caregiver pass meds. So the med aides can possible hurt your loved ones because they arent doing their job and handing it off to someone else. So I recommend not to send your loved ones here because the only want a paycheck.

They let us know what changes to expect as our loved one progressed through the dying process. The physician came by to meet us and was very kind. They have all kinds of services that we were able to tap into at no cost to us: chaplain, massage therapist, foot care and an aide to help with bathing, etc. I even had to call the on-call team a time or two and they were great. My mom's occupational therapist at the time mentioned her sister was with High Lakes Care Home so we set a date to take a tour. It was so different than previous places. It being a smaller facility there is a more personal and homey feel. I like that each person has their own room yet they have a shared living room, a beautiful backyard (with a porch that is used a lot during nice weather) and its in a quaint neighborhood. I feel that there is a great amount of interaction and activities throughout the day. They also provide varied and delicious homemade meals as well as snacks/beverages as needed throughout the day. The house is also kept in good order. The staff does a great job with each of the residents room as well as the common areas. We have had a wonderful experience interacting with Holly the owner. She is so kind, responsive and has been extremely helpful in navigating the changes happening with my mom. She is very thorough in hiring staff that is caring and capable. My interaction with all the staff has been great. Everyone I've met has been so nurturing and patient with my mom. I stop by often and at different days/times and have always felt comfortable and at ease having my mom there. Its never easy having to find a home for a loved one but High Lakes has made the transition easier for us. I would highly recommend this home if you are looking for a caring, safe, engaged and clean home for your loved one. (My mom is currently at the Sisters location.)

Everyone from reception, the care team and discharge nurse were exceptional, I can't say that enough. I wish I could recall all of their names but when in pain that was not my priority. The hospital was very clean, inviting, and comfortable even in the waiting room. Thank you for such a great experience during a difficult time. I was in and out in about 2 hours even though the ER was pretty full.

EVEN WHEN REPORTING SHORTNESS IF BREATHE. He barely ask questions which makes me wonder if he has a God complex and that's why what I do say or request matters so little. Such a shame because the nurses, radiology have been great. But Chen has just covered my mouth with this terrible taste that my trauma is only made worse by him. Needs ALOT more training on what patient care not ego care is. Like. ALOT! I'm suppose to be here to get better. Not be short of breath so long I hunched over and in tears before action is taken. The food is consistently very good as well which I think is unusual based on what I hear about other facilities. The activities director is great - she has live music events with dancing, happy hours with nice appetizers, games, movies, manicures, outings, etc. - so many fun and engaging activities. A friend's mother was placed in Cascades of Bend, and it quickly turned into a heartbreaking…read morenightmare. Despite her daughter's devoted care, the facility suddenly restricted all visitors, including family. Her mother was isolated in her room with no explanation or compassion. She stopped eating, withdrew from the world, and fell into a deep depression. Before this, she was engaged and alert--but once cut off from human connection, she declined rapidly and passed away far sooner than expected. This facility took away her dignity and her will to live. No one should have to endure that. Run--don't walk--away from this place.
