I want to thank the doctors and nurses who were on my cardiac surgical team Sept. 15, 2025 at 8:30 a.m.! I wish I could remember everyones' name-Christine because I LOVED her colorful head cover, not to forget her wonderful smile and care! This team assisted Dr. Erinn Hughes who gave me her all and her best at saving my life. My comforting anesthesiologist, the others as well: Every one of you are paramount to YOUR patients and their care! From my day nurse, Madelyn and Becky and Vicki (please forgive me for not remembering everyone's names), to seeing George deliver me breakfast in bed (again!). Dr Chen's schedule means you will get 10 minutes of his time over three days. you can request the nurse to ask for things and Chen's turnaround time after multiple attempts is generally 6 hours. EVEN WHEN REPORTING SHORTNESS IF BREATHE. He barely ask questions which makes me wonder if he has a God complex and that's why what I do say or request matters so little. Such a shame because the nurses, radiology have been great. But Chen has just covered my mouth with this terrible taste that my trauma is only made worse by him. Needs ALOT more training on what patient care not ego care is. Like. ALOT! I'm suppose to be here to get better. Not be short of breath so long I hunched over and in tears before action is taken. I went to the ER in severe pain. This nurse needed to do a blood test. She did it wrong and said it was my fault because I was moving, when I wasn't . That is rotten. I wasn't moving at all. Take responsibility and apologize you horrible woman read more

What an awful place to work and an even worse place to be sick or injured. The ER is constantly full and it's so dirty and old that it smells like black mold. The staff barely notices you are there and if you want anything they ignore you completely. The tests get done immediately then you sit for hours on end waiting for a doctor to spend 4 seconds to tell you to go see a specialist. Then hours go by and a nurse throws some papers at you and tells you to leave. The people I know who work there tell us that the managers are awful and they are so focused on how much money they can make off of the tests and how much money they can save by firing the staff who have been there the longest that patients are nearly invisible to them. If you can avoid this hospital at all costs you should. It is a complete embarrassment to the community and to its former legacy. If they were bought out by a bigger system it would only improve things there. Minus 10 million stars!!!! read more

I had an opportunity to meet the rehab team from transitional care wing of St Charles Medical Center. Wow, I hope I never have them on my care team. The occupational therapist gal was disrespectful and condescending beyond belief & the physical therapist guy wasn't much better. I feel as though there is a mixture of delusional pretentiousness coupled with being over stressed. Either way, I'm hoping, praying and counting on not having to deal with those lost souls. Hopefully they find their way towards being receptive to evolving into the upstanding, compassionate professional healthcare providers they most likely want to be. Who knows? I hope I don't have to find out someday, they were that lame. read more

Super busy, but all hands on deck. I love the chairs outside where you can wait and sit in the fresh air. The security guard in the front was phenomenal. He was so friendly and helped every single person that drove up, often getting wheelchairs. read more

I came out from Colorado to help my dad and mom, during a very stressful time. My dad was in the hospital due to an injury. My first day both parents spoke extremely well and gave high praise to Ely (spelling). They spoke how he took time and showed great care towards my dad. My dad can be difficult as he really dislikes not being able to move around. My interactions with the nursing staff, on the third floor, was nothing short of amazing. What a great group of professionals who work hard at making clients and family members feel included, comfortable and cared about. Now, the bad side. The Case Worker is useless and should not be in a position where families and clients are dependent on being taken care of. Failure to respond to emails, nursing request to speak with client or family is completely unacceptable. Her excuse "i have 25 person case load". A whole 15 clients. I was a working Social Worker and had, in any given month, 50 to 100 clients and made sure each family was given the same attention as every other client and family. Would I recommend this hospital? When dealing with the nursing staff yes as these care givers are excellent. If you would expect the case manager to give you or family the type of treatment, information and assistance to make your traumatic event less hurtful, then No i would not recommend this hospital. read more

Great staff - we can't say enough good things about the nurses and docs and everybody else too. They answer questions with great precision, and have great bed side manner. The docs know their stuff and everyone is very very compassionate - we never felt like it was just another patient. Not many people end up here for positive reasons, but if you do find yourself at this hospital - don't worry because they will take great care of you. read more

Yesterday my mom wasn't feeling well. I brought her to Redmond St Charles. I spent all day in the ER with her. They ended up admitting her. Today I come to the hospital to see what they've found. I can't go in because I'm unvaccinated. The biggest hospitals in the state aren't pulling this bs so why is St Charles? Asante isn't, Providence isn't. So St Charles has kidnapped my mom. How fair is it to keep a visitor from an 80 year old woman who has no other living relatives? It's not. We won't ever use you again. You people politicalized your hospital instead of taking care of people. Hospitals have no business in politics. read more

I went in for a migraine of 2 days and they were quick to get me back and helped! once they heard it was a migraine with sound and light sensitivity were quick to lower the tones and lights to help make me more comfortable until the meds came! read more

YEEEAAAAHHH BUDDY. I was born here, so this place automatically rocks!

I phoned the hospital tonight to find out if I could have an Uber delivery to have outside food brought in to the hospital.It was after hours. I believed I was calling the front desk. I was patched through to an Answering service who connected me to the on-call doctor. She was so RUDE and Condescending. She said I had no right to contact her over this issue, she went on and on. Each time I would try to speak she would run over the top of me.I had no intention of contacting a doctor at this hour over this matter. This rude doctor would not allow me to get a word in edgewise not even to apologize.I was trying to have reasonable question Answered by a staff from st. Charles.The Dr. Elaine Myers, not a fan of mean and rude people. Oh did I say her name is Dr. Elaine meyers not a kind woman and not my first run in with her! Don't go to this mean nasty doctor...: this review is a reflection of Dr. Elaine meyers... The rest of my experience at the hospital has been very pleasant. read more
