DISCLAIMER: BEDBUGS!!! My cousins bridal party spent the afternoon of 8/1 having a great time with guests from surrounding campsites and at our own fire. However after falling asleep around 3 am I woke up with severe itching on my arm that had been under my pillow, when I flipped it over there were not one but two bed bugs on it. I am very allergic to bug bites so I noticed immediately when being bitten. This forced us to leave in the middle of the night. We found several more on our personal items, had to leave a lot of things behind to avoid bringing bugs home to our families all of which have small children! Even found some in our car on our belongings we did take and had to throw that out as well. Junius ponds has agreed to refund us ( we will see based on previous reviews ) and offered us 2 free nights stay ( no thanks! ) now my cousins whole bridal party is covered in bites just near the wedding as well. Found reviews that the same cabin had a bed bug issue two years ago, and a review from a day ago someone stayed in there the night before also experiencing bites and we actually even found the exact same trash in our top bunk! They don't clean their cabins, please don't risk your home and families health by staying here, there are plenty of other campsites I'm sure! When we camped on Fathers Day weekend we enjoyed the music on Saturday night complete with Wine truck Vendor and a very nice Fathers Day Breakfast (Free to Campers) The site was nice and hook ups were very conveniently located. read more

Seasonal campers are very rude and treat weekenders horrible. Store staff is completely clueless not to mention the store doesn't have much in it. The roads have huge potholes. Won't be going back there anymore. read more

Do not stay at this campground. We spent 2 nights on our way home from a long trip. We were given a very uneven site with poison ivy. Additionally, the site design was poor. The sewer hook up was almost by the road and the electrical in the middle. The last day there was an issue with the well. This meant we had no water to use in our camper. The bathrooms were also closed due to no water. We received notification, but nothing else. We should have automatically been given a refund for the day. Don't waste your time or money at this campground. read more

Where do I begin? The park appeared to be mostly occupied by homesteaders or long term residents. I stayed for a night as a single female and was given a spot at the very back of the property. Granted, it was very shaded, even though it wasn't that warm. Site was tucked away in a spot that was claimed to be pull-through, but was angled very tight and I had to pull through opposite to the hook-ups. I actually got lost trying to find the site, even though they provided a map. No wayfinding signs when the roads split. The site numbers are hard to see from the road. There are speed bumps everywhere, even though the roads are mostly gravel with rocks and natural bumps and potholes. I had to climb a hill (with a speed bump and narrow road split) to get out causing everything in my camper to fall. Super inconvenient and annoying! The female bathhouse door was always open, even though I closed it when I left each time. There was a young girl showering with the door open and I felt like I needed to stand guard for her. The bathhouse had alcohol in the soap dispensers instead of actual soap. No paper towels provided and air blower barely worked. Toilets were disgusting even though claimed to be cleaned daily. The main road traffic (even from the back of the park) can be heard all night long. I was required to show proof of vaccination for my dog upon check-in and when I asked for a refund they took 5 mins to get approval for exception (for one night) while repeatedly stating it's their policy and how it "should be" everywhere, even though I traveled all summer up the east coast without needing to show proof; and never had an incident. There was a random dog treat found on my site; who knows where it came from. I also heard something brush/tap my camper door in the middle of the night, yet no branch or evidence of debris outside in the morning. Not staying there again. read more

BEDBUGS and BAD MANAGEMENT! We stayed in Cabin 1 during the weekend of June 21st. My partner woke up with bites all over him, that we didn't realize until after we got home were bedbug bites, and we found a bedbug on our luggage when unpacking. I contacted Junius Ponds, and they had an exterminator come who said he didn't find any "live activity", but from the paperwork, the technician seemed inexperienced and did not do a thorough investigation - just simply sprayed once (bedbugs need multiple treatments to exterminate, and you wouldn't see them "live" during the day). We had to pay to have our own exterminator come to our home for an inspection, had to purchase a steam cleaner and bedding protectors for prevention of an infestation, and my partner's bites got so bad through the week that he had to go to urgent care (where they confirmed bedbugs) and pay for meds. It has cost us $369, plus there is a potential $600 exterminator treatment should an infestation occur in our home in the coming months. I asked Junius Ponds for a refund for our stay ($216) to help off-set the financial, emotional, and psychological burden of the experience and aftermath of staying in their cabin and having bedbugs. They asked for documentation, which I provided (very thorough and detailed) on June 30th. When I followed up, they said someone would contact me by end of day on July 3rd - no one did. When I followed up again, they said someone would call me end of the week of July 9th - no one did. I have since left a phone message for the manager of Junius Ponds, and I haven't gotten a call back. I left a voicemail with the regional management company, and haven't gotten a call back. I sent another email, with no response. The management was responsive until I had the documentation to back up our claim, and now they have stopped responding to me. These empty promises with no follow through are very unprofessional, as is this situation not being rectified sooner. This shows an unhappy customer as well as this bedbugs situation is not a concern to them at all. Please be careful if you stay in these cabins - check the mattresses for signs of bedbugs, and wash all your luggage before bringing it into your home - I really don't want anyone else to have to go through what we have! read more

Book site in September of last year. Went to camp this past weekend and we were"given " we requested, but when we went to pull up to our site, there was someone already there. We asked the person next to them if they knew who was there and they said that the father-in-law I put their camper on that side because they had to move because someone was on their site. Needless to say when we went back to the office they were more than unhelpful as they had no record of anybody being on that site and then told us to park different site that was smaller and they would get back to us. We waited 45 minutes and no one got back to us. I went back to the office and the "manager", who decided that eating dinner was a better option than communing to us, came out and berated me stating no sites are guaranteed, never have been with the old management. I noted that not even they knew that they who was on that site, clearly as they let me check in and gave me the parking pass for that sites. I emailed the office and they were very dismissive to my inconvenience and stated they accommodated a larger group in that area and blamed the booking site for the error. But there seemed to be a change made to my reservation, too not sure the booking site was at fault for my inconvenience. No resolution to a situation that created by someone at the campground. I have since cancelled my future reservation, which of course incure a fee for the cancellation. It used to family owned and a wonderful place to go, if you have a reservation, be for warned that you may not get what you expect. read more

DO NOT TENT CAMP HERE! This is a beautifully manicured campground with wonderful activities and amenities. The young lady in the glasses working the office/store was very sweet and helpful. If you're in a camper with your air conditioning running then I'm sure you can sleep anywhere. But if you're in a tent you'll be barely more than 100 yards from the New York State thruway and that noise NEVER stops. You've been warned. read more

Terrible RV park it's more like a trailer park. Terrible sites, had to sign waivers, needed dog vaccinations and when we tried to cancel our reservation in August because we didn't want to stay there they hit us with 50% cancellation fee and we are more than 30 days from our stay. Nobody answers the phone, email address bounces back and they have a chat line with nobody on it. Stay clear of this place it's a dump. read more

Booked our sites last minute for our first camping trip in our new to us camper. It was Memorial Day Weekend, so the sites were fully booked. Lots of activities planned for the kids. There was a hayride, a DJ, a golf cart parade, and a kids activity that we missed. Great game room, ice cream, slushies for the kids, the pool. Plenty of playgrounds for them to play on. We had so much fun and will definitely be coming back in the future. I would say 80% of the sites are seasonal; everyone was so nice and welcoming. Really a great weekend!! read more

Like pickleball? You can enjoy looking at the courts through a locked chain link fence. We asked twice and they promised to unlock them, but didn't. You won't have time to play, anyway, because you'll have to put everything back into your cabinets and closets after navigating the excessive number of speed bumps. read more
