Also, they were straightforward with the pricing and that they'd try to do it without having to cut it up but if they had to cut it up the price would be a little higher. There is nothing more aggravating for a homeowner than to set up an appointment, get out early from work, and the company never shows up. Yes, I got that email saying they could come earlier. Texted back to just let me know they could come earlier. Wrote back asking what time. Never heard back. In the meantime, we sat ready for our 3-5pm appointment. Excellent service! After moving to a new house, we discovered that our side yard was left full of junk (cracked siding, rotting trellis, paint cans, garbage cans) and unwanted personal items. By the time we added moldy old shelving units from the garage, a set of doors, tree branches and yard debris, we were completely overrun and into very high estimates from other vendors with comparable ratings. Junk-King was prompt, incredibly courteous and by far the most reasonably priced service around. They contacted us twice due to a slight flat-tire delay and double checked the entire inventory to ensure that everything we wanted gone was loaded onto the truck. My mom is finally getting ready to move into a smaller place, and I've been helping her clean out the old house that she's lived in for 30 years. Let me tell you, after 30 years, you accumulate a lot of junk! We have been working on separating everything into three basic areas: keep, donate, and trash. Great folks. I only had a few items to go, just didn't have a big enough car to move them myself. The guys who showed up were friendly, gave me a fair estimate, and were careful moving the stuff out. The price they quoted was about the same as the other folks I talked to, but everyone else called & gave me an estimate over the phone. Since these guys actually showed up on-site, I gave them the job. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars was the timing. I had booked a 10-12 time period online and they didn't show until 1:30. Being smack dab in the middle of the busiest moving time in the year, I felt the lateness itself was understandable, but I would have appreciated a call. I did get a call from a dispatcher around 10:00 letting me know that they would be coming "at the later end" of the time period, but no additional call to let me know that they would in fact be late. read more
