If jewelry is removed by a mortuary when they receive a body, it should be saved for the deceased's loved ones and they should inform them. Also, there was a lot of pressure to hurry up and approve the death certificate. Does that mean they have limited refrigerated? Maybe. The sheriffs who discovered my brother's body at home during a wellness check did not have an autopsy nor any medical exam because "there appeared to be no sign of foul play." My brother hadn't seen the doctor who signed the death certificate in three years.

The two main CHARACTERS - Darlene and Debbie - were like having two sisters who were also trusted advisors willing to impart their years of wisdom and experience. They even "held my hand" during those times when it became a little too scary or sad on the SET. Hiring Clutter Busters for this job of clearing out my family member's house was a very bold risk for me because it required a very high-level of trust on my part as well as theirs. There was no "micro-managing" on my part, and they worked very independently (and skillfully). I basically turned the PRODUCTION over to Clutter Busters and was given the opportunity to make brief (as in 30-minute) CAMEO APPEARANCES on a frequent basis when asked to do so. In my role as a WALK-ON, I toured the SET to see progress that had been made and was asked for my input on how they would like to proceed with the next steps in the decluttering process. Like skilled PERFORMERS who are outstanding at memorizing their LINES and taking DIRECTION, I was completely blown away at how they followed my directions "to the letter" and were mindful and watchful for PROPS (e.g., treasures and family heirlooms) that I had described to them that I wanted to keep. Like good CREATIVES, they also were not afraid to use their brains and "think outside the box". Darlene and Debbie kept a caring and watchful "eye" for some things of value that I would perhaps want to keep due to either the value (e.g., antique Fostoria pitcher) OR very select pieces of furniture (e.g., the two chairs that were in great condition) that could be utilized and appreciated by my dear loved one who had moved and was no longer living in the house. To be clear, these were not items that I had mentioned to THEM; rather, these were items that THEY noticed and pointed out to ME. Very thoughtful! I was further impressed with their NETWORKS. Darlene is very well-connected to many worthwhile non-profit organizations that take donations and, in my case, even found one that was willing to pay ME for the items remaining in the residence after the cleanout (instead of me paying them which happens more often). This fact, combined with her professional organizing skills, permitted a 3-step process that was followed room by room. Clutter Busters decluttered, then I reviewed what needed to be set aside for me to keep, then the non-profit would remove whatever was left. Since Clutter Busters has been in business for nearly a quarter-century, combined with their knowledge of professional organizing, you can expect to pay a little more for their services; HOWEVER, they are NOT a junk hauling company (which has its own equally valid and unique business niche to fill). I was initially told it would be $350 to remove the toilet and fix the leak. Once the toilet was removed I was told it needed a new flange which was an additional $420. When I asked about the price I was told the initial price of $350 only covered the wax ring and closet bolt and did not cover the flange. Since a flange can be picked up at Home Depot for $12 and the toilet was already removed, incurring an additional full labor charge was unfair at best. In the end I was billed $350 to replace the wax ring and another $350 to replace the flange. As a veteran, I try to support my locally owned veteran businesses. This is one that I will not be using in the future and will definitely not recommend to anyone.
