I wanted to give 5 stars, as the 2 haulers were very friendly, accommodating, fast. I was very impressed. However, when my junk was all loaded into a dump truck I got a big surprise. The price was $450 not the original $200-$250 that was quoted over the phone and text using a dump truck. Apparently, they charge $150 per standard truck bed, and they figured they dumped equivalent to two standard-size trucks into the dump truck, plus an extra $150 because "I did not tell him over the phone that the boxes were sealed with product inside (I did), and they figured they hauled away 2 standard truck loads, even though they dumped my junk in a dump truck. Confused? Me too! BUT Robert was extremely gracious on the phone and went to the $250. So, beware of quotes over the phone. Find out: what size truck will be used for the quote, and get it in writing (email, text). That said, their willingness to make good tells me this is a company that operates with integrity with focus on outstanding customer service. I definitely recommend Junk Valet and would hire them again, this time with clearer communication. read more
