Can't say enough about the great job Nick did and his poise under pressure. He responds quickly with an estimate and shows up when he says he will. He had to double park and a moving truck tried to get by, but didn't have enough room. I'm not going to go into details, but the short version is the mover was a jerk. Today, Sunday, I had a recliner out by the street and with the threat of rain I wanted to get it removed before it became a soggy nasty mess. Needed to clear abandoned furniture from an apt., and Nicholas and Sean of JUNKCAT were so pleasant and helpful. Carried stuff down front steps and up from basement efficiently. Were prepared with a saw to take a bed apart to get it out! When realized big fridge wouldn't fit out small door, they went above and beyond hauling responsibilities and took the fridge doors off and screws off sides of fridge and took the apt. door off the hinges! (which they put back, after) to get fridge to fit exactly through the door frame and out. Really good problem solvers, strong, and willing to help. We saw that one of our neighbors in Albany had called JunkCat and we heard they had a good experience, so when our kitchen remodel was in the tear-out phase we called for an estimate to haul a mountain of construction debris (we have a 1920s craftsman and we had dry rot, lathe-and-plaster, concrete, ancient pipes, disgusting old cabinets, etc, to remove--our workers gave us a bid of $1000 for the cost of hauling and dumping). Nick returned our call within minutes, and offered to drop by for a look: the timing worked out perfectly and he gave us an astonishing bid of $185!
