He gave me a really good quote and he came punctually on time this next morning with his pick-up truck. He was able to pick up the sink by himself and load it up. The other pieces were light. Do not waste your time working with Efrain C. or Quick Haul. Efrain will scam and cheat you out of your money or waste a your time at trying to trick you. Poor customer service, slow to reply, rude. Efrain messaged me on Yelp when he saw my project listed but then told me to do business with him off the app and text him because it's "quicker". That was a big mistake. He is unresponsive to text and kept telling me to call him. That's how his scam starts. He kept changing the price of the service and was quoting me very high. I had to inform him that I know his prices are unfairly high so he changed his tune but it was still very costly for just a few household items. After we ended our phone call I text Efrain the address and he said he can no longer do same day pick up. I was confused as we had been discussing immediate pick up the entire time. He said he can only do the next day. At that point I was left with no choice because all other businesses were no longer available. Then things got worse on the day of pick up. Efrain text me to say he will no longer do the pick up. I called him but he would not answer. I text him asking why but he wouldn't answer. After a long time Efrain finally answered my call and said he will no longer do the pick up because he did not come prepared with enough space in his truck. I text Efrain the photos of what needed to be picked up the day before so I was confused at why he said he could do the job. I asked Efrain if he would at least take what he could fit in his truck and come back another time to do the rest but he rudely hung up the phone on me. read more

These guys are some of the strongest guys lbs for lbs that I've ever seen. I'm pretty strong for my size because I do all the renovation work at our house and so you just build muscle, but these guys are carrying concrete fence posts 30 or 40 feet even when I offer to let them use my gorilla cart. But, of course, that's not even the best part. The value is the best because they're not wasting time driving out getting quotes. Unfortunately, that's what you're going to find. Crews that want to drive out to give you quotes are just going to be much more expensive because they're driving all around town not necessarily booking jobs, and so their prices just adjust higher because of that. I live on Alameda, so really close to the infamous Oakland Home Depot. There are junk haulers parked all over there. But here's the problem, they price according to how much money they think you have. People don't realize that, but a lot of people are pricing things as if you're one of these tech workers making $100k-350K/year and that's fair because there are plenty of those in the bay area. I mean, a lot from what I can tell. We're lucky that we live in a beautiful house and so we're not "poor," but our household is very much technically low-income. So, classic house rich, cash poor. Hence, why I say that I do literally all my own renovations. If I had money like some people I know or have met, then I'd have zero problem paying out for work. But that's not the case and more often than not people quote me prices as if we're top ten percent earners when in reality, and this isn't an exaggeration, we're actually bottom 10 percent especially in bay area. Don't get me wrong, I think it's smart if Quick Haul is heading out to like Danville/Blackhawk/Piedmont/etc where majority of people are overwhelmingly high-income, then they should rise their rates because they can certainly afford to pay higher rates and these guys are doing hard work. But in neighborhoods like Alameda where income is actually pretty mixed (half the island has some money half the island is lower income), then it's a pretty good policy to just price based on what the job is versus how wealthy they think the people are. Anyway, I wanted to write an "epic" review because while I could have hauled off my junk to the Berkeley or David transfer station, it would have been really difficult for me to do, especially by myself. And for some quotes I got, it looked like I may of had to do so, but Quick Haul because of their pricing, allowed me to save my energy for what's going to be a huge renovation that I literally have to do myself. Oh, but on top of that, the guys are really nice. Like the Home Depot haulers, some of those guys are extremely aggressive where one of them I literally had to shut my gate because I couldn't tell if he was going to do something physical or not. Efrain and his crew were awesome. Couldn't ask for a better experience. First we had some logistical problems on our end, then the scope of the work unexpectedly increased at the last minute. I should also mention that I was 800 miles away for the whole thing. We had a lockbox on the door and all communication was by phone, text, and photos.
