Junkyard Cards is a great little shop. Bulk Pokemon are in pretty good shape. Lots of ex and Vmax are on display.

Love this place. Came by just to look around at what pokemon cards they have for my binder collection. They had a really good selection of cards for me to pick from and was able to get some cards that I was looking for my collection. I also got some bulk commons to add and my nephew enjoyed looking around as well. The staff are really nice and knowledgeable. Will definitely keep coming back. They have good prices on most cards as well.

Tons of cards to look through

I've been meaning to visit this shop since it's around the corner from my house. I came by for the first time today and I will be coming back again soon! Friendly and inviting atmosphere, great collection of cards and the employees are wonderful. I walked out with a purchased card and it was fairly priced! If you're on the fence about coming here, give it a chance! You won't regret it!

Visiting this spot based on a friends recommendation. Staff is super kind and welcoming. So much variety to choose from including psa slabs, raw cards, and lots of rare bulk. Very reasonable prices. I would definitely come back.

    hella cards

A diverse selection of Pokemon and Yugioh cards, and a large selection of bulk cards. I bought so many cool full art and artist specific cards to add to my collection and I would come here again !! Super great service too with all the employees knowing what they're talking about,, would come again.

I came here recently and we had a great experience! I brought my 2 kids who are a bit on the younger side (4 and 6). They are relatively new to the Pokemon card game and were a bit intimidated stepping into the shop. The staff was so friendly and encouraging to them they absolutely loved their experience and frequently ask to come back. Super thankful for how kind they were to my kids. I dont know too much about this world but from what i can tell they had a lot more variety and a higher quality of selection than other shops we've visited in the area. The couches and gaming tables with the mags kinda reminded me of a skateshop which is where i spent most of my time as a kid. Overall, a very positive experience and we are stoked to come back!

My current local shop that's close by with an amazing staff! Their singles selection is great! And prices are pretty reasonable compared to how the market is right now! I even get some practice matches with the staff and other customers! Vibes are great!

Friendly staff, Gotta love new shops. Great energy good deals!

Bad service and poor communication…read more I've been trying to catalogue my MTG collection lately. I drove 40 min to get to this shop because they have a machine that scans your cards. I paid the shop to rent the machine and waited for 2 hours. Then the staff told me "We made a mistake setting this up. We can't give you the scanned info, but leave your cards behind and your email address, and we can send them over. You'll just need to scan this thing we send you." I was uncomfortable leaving my cards behind because they're important to me. But I didn't want to walk away empty-handed. So I decided to trust them and I left my cards behind. I didn't hear anything for 4 days. I had to call them and they said "Oh the employee you were talking to got sick. If you want to pick up your cards you can do that though." I asked "How about scanning my cards?" and they said "We'll message the sick employee and call you back to let you know what he says". I waited 3 more days and they didn't contact me at all. I realized they weren't going to reach out to me to resolve the issue, so I had to drive down to the store to demand my cards back. I don't know who the person running the back of the shop is. Maybe the manager. Maybe the owner. All I knew is that they had context on the whole situation and knew that I had returned to get my cards. They didn't bother to come over to talk to me. They didn't even give me eye contact. They didn't make even a single attempt at improving the situation. Not even an offer for store credit. Not even a sorry. They just shrugged and yelled across the room "machine's broken". Then they went back to puttering around and left another employee to deal with me. This other employee had no context on the situation. All she could do was hand me a cash refund and give me a confused "Sorry...?" I was treated like I was an annoyance. Someone who'd go away eventually if you ignored them. Not a respected customer who just wanted to do business. I'm not mad that the machine was allegedly broken. I'm only slightly mad that the employees aren't trained on how to use the machine. I'm frustrated that I paid for a service and they didn't bother seeing the job through to the end. They didn't communicate when they decided to give up. I trusted them with my personal card collection and they betrayed that trust. I don't even know if I have all my cards back, but I'll never know. Save yourself the stress.

Victor is the best for customer service and advice!…read more Came here on a whim during Labor Day while driving through the area. At first I couldn't find the shop, the address sent me to the other side where there's a pharmacy - if you find the pharmacy you're in the right area, just go in the alley to the backside. They don't have big signage out their front door so it may be hard to find and it might look "closed" but if it's normal hours then you're probably in luck! The prices are somewhat reasonable - some singles and sealed products are at a decent price while some are just trying to match the market. But I get it, the shop needs to make money too. It sucks for the normal consumer/collector as we take the hit for the market prices. There seems to be a lot of singles to pick up - there's a good selection of cards on display and, if you ask, they have more binders with other singles that may not be as popular. Overall, I had a good experience with Victor. Very kind, super respectful, and ready to answer any and all questions. Will be back to shop some more in the future!

To be honest, dear reader, I am not an avid comic book reader! While I do enjoy the superhero…read moremovies that come along each year, and I do casually read certain runs, or listen to explanations of certain comics via Comics Explained, I do not keep up with this medium as consistently as I do with Video Games. The only run that I have kept up with on a consistent basis is the Sonic the Hedgehog comics, both the Archie run (slightly before Ian Flynn would take over) and the IDW run as I am a huge fan of Sonic. Due to this, I do like to visit a comic book store every once-in-a-while, and this is my #1 spot! I found out about this nice little spot back in 2006 or 2007 as after learning about the Archie run via the Sonic Mega Collection, I wanted to start reading these comics. I noticed this place from time to time in my family's travels to Bellflower and asked my Mother to take me one day. I stopped going for a long time, not because of any specific negative reason, but just because they stopped selling the Sonic run. Since Sonic is the only comic book that I read, I had no reason to return. I did find out about places like Pulp Fiction, but I found that the customer service was consistently not up to par and eventually stopped going. Last year, during Free Comic Book Day, I wanted to stop by a Comic Book Store in order to pick up some of the free comic books. I first went to Amazing Comics & Cards, but found the selection to be very limited and a similar problem of the customer service being poor. I went here after so long to see if they were participating in Free Comic Book Day, and luckily enough, they were! Going in, it is still majorly organized as I remember way back when, but just now with more Graphic Novels and Manga. One thing that I can always say is the best about this place is the customer service. When I went to Free Comic Book Day, they gave people a list of what was available and crossed out any that were not available, they allowed an individual to get way more comics than the previous store I went to (like 5 comics in comparison to 2 or 3), and when I was conflicted on which comic to get, they just allowed me to have both. Not only this, the main guy at the cash register, I never got his name, but is an older white gentleman that usually wears a cap, is always nice and helpful. I don't remember him from years ago, but immediately from our first interaction, he has the best personality. Easy to talk to and start up a conversation, and leaves a definite positive impression after stepping out of the store. And this isn't just one interaction, I had been going from time to time in 2025, and the attitude was always solid. They never seem to run out of the comics that I am looking for and just generally seem to be great spot hidden away in the Bellflower area. In all, from what I remember back in the mid-to-late 2000s and recently, I give them 5 stars. A great place for comic readers and worthy of being one of my favorite spots to stop by when I am in the mood of purchasing a comic.

TLDR; great card shop for people getting into collecting cards…read more Before coming into this store, there was never a reason for me to buy my single cards at a brick-and-mortar. I don't know who helped me because I was too overwhelmed, but he was so friendly and helpful. Actually everyone working there was pretty respectful and friendly! No one was judgmental or mansplain-y, it made me more comfortable asking questions since I'm newb. Price checking on cards was also super quick and he didn't look annoyed, so I was able to ask for the price of a lot of cards. Having to bother someone about pricing is lowkey a big reason why I hated brick-and-mortar, especially when I be ruining their day with every query, and then end up not buying anything. Such a relief it was not the case here. I was looking for a Pokemon card, lowest listed on TCG player was $14 + $2 shipping, and I was quoted $17 for it at the first card shop I stopped at ($1 not a big deal, but I can just buy online). I came here and the first price I was given was $16 which is the same as I would have paid online, but as I asked about more he was able to give me a package price for my cards without me having to ask (because I am not comfortable haggling, even though I think it is part of the card buying culture?) which I very much appreciate. I'm sure I paid less than I would have if I bought these cards online. I might not have bought as many cards as I did though if I'm being honest, but I guess that's part of the business deal. Overall my first super stellar shopping experience with buying single cards at a card store! I would defiantly recommend coming here if you're new to collecting cards! I don't have a lot of friends that collect cards and I'm not great at Googling questions so it's not as easy for me to learn how card market works without getting a little ripped off but the people here were super helpful and welcoming. I will be coming back with a wishlist of cards and maybe some more questions. Thank you for making my day!

All of the staff is extremely helpful and attentive even when a tournament is happening. Nick always takes the time to explain pricing and answer any questions that I have. I've always walked away feeling like I got great service. My only slight suggestion is that I wish they sold slabs and had Lorcana tournaments. However, I can't complain when Perfect Rares is always a 5/5 experience.

Best of all, the commons were only 25 cents per card! I did not play any games while I was there, but the store was full of players for multiple different games. I also appreciated that the store employees seemed to know some of the players by name, which tells me that they do see the store as a community space rather than just a business. What stood out to me the most though was my interaction with one of the employees named Anthony. He saw that I was picking up Riftbound cards and asked if I wanted him to introduce me to the other Riftbound players present and break the ice. While I declined the offer, I thought that it was a great gesture and yet another example of how this store cares about the community aspect of card games. While this store isn't near me, I can see myself going back soon, both to buy and play.
