But I had not…read morebeen in a while, so I made an appointment, and came in with 10 years of my readings from donating blood (blood pressure, cholesterol,...). I also brought a list of medications. I gave them all to the nurse. She was a bit curt and kept going back to the medications. I said that I am not looking for refills. It is also on their records that I am a long-time teacher, and even longer blood donor (which is why I had those print outs). The NP I met with was fine, but did not warn me about drug interactions; I read about those on my own. Later that evening, that same nurse called back and very aggressively started talking about the medications and about refills (her anger and incoherency was astonishing). I could not even tell you how many times I said I do not need refills. Then she accused me of doctor shopping, which also did not make sense. If I am not asking for refills, how am I doctor shopping? Either way, she got me so stressed out, and aggravated, that I was compelled to write a review so that others can make their own decisions. I will be finding a new doctor's office due to this nurse, however.

It took the girl that took me back FIVE attempts to get my blood pressure before she gave up. She also spoke to me in a rather unprofessional way....ok, lets be honest it was completely ghetto. Then, when calling back for a refill for a medication that I've been on for over five years now, I got a weeks' worth of run around and B.S. before I sought out another doctor who happily wrote the prescription that day. I don't know if they are trying to save money or what, but the quality of service has taken a nosedive.

The office staff was completely underqualified, it took 2 of the girls to take my blood pressure and they still got it wrong! My license was "questionable" as I have a out of state ID, they wouldnt take it as a valid ID, even thought I paid with a credit card for services rendered. I went back with my boyfriend, for credibility since we live together. I explained my history and wanted to get back on the medication I stopped taking 4-5 months prior. I had the list of perscriptions/doseage I used to take and she wanted to try something different even after I protested. OK 2 days later and this new medication isnt working, and she refused to do anything about it.! Horrible service and not adequte for general paitient care. they shoudl be reported.

I normally write positive reviews or I don't review someone. In this case, I feel the need to…read morewarn others. First, I waited almost 4 months for an appointment. They would try to get me an earlier appoint. Which they did then called to say, sorry they changed it. The next appointment I was arriving late and called them so they cancelled it (I understand that) so we made a new appt. They called a week prior and said to cancel the appt. since she was now going to be a concierge Dr. in a month and they did not want to keep my appt. I had waited 4 months so I said, of course I need to keep my appt. (the employee had a heavy sigh and I hung up). I traveled over an hour to get to the next appointment and had to wait in the lobby to sign in as they were training people, so I just stood waiting. After about 10 minutes, a person came out and said I was late and they could not see me! I suggested they just take my blood pressure (which probably would not have been good!), and give me a referal of who to see and a mammogram. They emphatically said "no." I told that I am normally a great patient. I think just because she was now going to be treating people who pay extra for her services, they did not want to see me. And I thought it was bogus to call and tell me I should cancel since they were going to be serving only Concierge clients in a few weeks. Especially after waiting so long and having so many appointment changes. I waited patiently. In the least, they should have giving me referrals but they refused and said they could not do that even when I somewhat begged.

This so called annual physical took less then 10 minutes. The PA told me my bloodwork looked good, listened to my heart and said goodbye. After more than 20 years as a patient at this practice, my experience ended in a way that was both…read moresurprising and disappointing. Patients were notified only about two weeks before Christmas that the practice would be switching to a concierge model. Shortly afterward we were told that my primary care physician (who had clearly expressed concerns about the change) would be leaving the practice. When I responded to the office message expressing concern about how the transition was handled, the owner dismissed me as a patient. Being removed from a medical practice simply for expressing criticism is troubling. Patients should be able to ask questions or voice concerns without fear of retaliation. If the goal of concierge medicine is to offer a more personal and respectful patient experience, this transition felt like the opposite. I understand practices changing business models, but the short notice, the loss of a long-standing physician, and dismissing a patient of over two decades for speaking up reflects very poorly on how this practice treats its patients. Long-term relationships in healthcare should be handled with far more professionalism and respect.
