Fatima is amazing. I have long curly hair, it's really difficult to work with my hair because it usually turn red after having highlights. I loved the color she applied, I really wanted a natural caramel color (I have brown hair) and it was perfect. This is my third time in this salon and I loved it. The first time I went there, I bought a Groupon. I asked her if it was possible to remove the red color before doing highlights and she nailed it. She applied a blue base that cut the red. Since then, I haven't had any problems with the color. I highly recommended her. You will not be disappointed. read more

I called and they had an appointment available the same day so i went in. Looking at the reviews I thought i would get a decent haircut. Everyone at the salon was courteous but i felt my haircut was rushed. After i washed my hair and blow dried it at home. The steps are all uneven and the face framing cut looks different on one side than the other ( and i had asked this while at the salon and i was told our haircut looks same wet and dry) but it doesnt. It looks someone chopped off bunch of my hair at the bottom. The steps do not blend in. Disappointed and have to wait to grow out my hair now edit: i just noticed that the Groupon value says 23$. I was told they would honor the groupon price and told me it was 30$ and i paid a $10 tip on top of that. I feel even worse now that i ended up paying a $17 tip for a shoddy job. This is my first review ever for any business whatsoever, so you have to understand how disappointing this experience was for me. I was having a great day and was super excited to get my hair colored. I called this place (it is the first one that pops up when you search for hair color on Groupon). It was trending, so I thought, ok this place looks good. Little did I know that I was in for an absolute disappointment. And disrespect. First of all, when I called the place, the lady (I know her name, but I will not expose her) answered and said: "Do not buy the Groupon coupon, they take a share, so just bring cash". I was like, okay, if that gives you more money, I really don't care, I just want nice hair color. Then she said, bring cash. I was like "fine." When we (me and my 2 friends) reached the place, it was locked. After knocking on the door multiple times, this lady comes out and takes us inside. Everything is "okay" until now. However, as I start to inquire about the hairstyle I want, this lady would not let me speak and went on and on about how her other customers love her work, etc. Until now, I was slightly annoyed because I was trying for a long time to show her a picture of exactly what I wanted-down to the t. I respectfully waited until she finished talking, then showed her the picture. I asked her, "Could you do something like this for me?" She ignored my question and STILL went on to her Instagram and showed me completely different colors that she had done in the past - caramel, dirty blonde, etc, when I told her specifically that I want ash blonde - I named the color and showed her the picture. When after around 15 minutes of talking and she still wouldn't stop, I pulled out my phone again and politely asked her. I like your work, those colors are great! Do you think you can do something like this for me? This is the {fun} part. She looks at my friends (who are sitting down) and talks to them directly, when I was right in front of her, and tells them "Does she not understand what I'm telling her? She is nodding her head but I don't think she is understanding", and went on and on about how it might take multiple sessions to get my dark hair to ash blonde color, when I had already clarified that I was okay with multiple sessions, I just needed to know if she can recreate the color on the picture on my hair. I cannot help but think that this was a racist comment because I look Asian. There was absolutely no need for her to be rude to me, then proceed to talk to my friends about me in the third person as I was right in front of her. The whole experience left such a bad taste in my mouth. My friends felt the discomfort, and one of them texted me: "We can leave if you'd like". All in all, this experience crushed my excitement, and I went to a different salon nearby, where I had an AMAZING experience. The lady there told me exactly what I wanted to know, gave me prices up front, and was super patient and helpful, and get this: had no problem whatsoever understanding my English. All in all (2), would definitely absolutely would NOT recommend going here. read more

I enjoy this salon because it's super close and my hair dresser Tony has never disappointed. She listens to whatever my request is. She can do a variety of hair types and doesn't over book herself. I typically go on a Mon. Or Tuesday b/c I hate crowded salons. She is honest and does a good job in maintaining my healthy hair. She does great relaxers and natural hair too. Her weaves are on point hunny ! I had her make me some clip-in hair extensions too. She did a great job and they're very durable/reusable. I wish the prices were a little lower but you get quality work! read more

I almost don't want to write this review because I feel bad but I hope to save someone else from making this same mistake. The salon has a lot of photos of blondes they've done and they all looked pretty good so I thought I was in good hands. The stylist did exactly what I wanted which is partly my fault but I'm pretty sure she shouldn't have put my fine, thin blonde hair under heat with foils in. My ends are completely fried and I saw tons of little burnt ends flying around when she blowed dried me. As a stylist she should have known how to color my hair type. There are also places she should have gotten closer to the root. I also wanted a tiny trim with face shaping. She did like a razor cut which wasn't subtle at all and needs to be fixed. I'm sure they do great work here, their reviews are mostly great but I wouldn't put my blonde in their hands again. read more

I called and had a few consultations with the owner as I needed a color correction. I felt very confident after speaking with her, so I set up an appt. I got there and sat down to wait. I should have went off of my gut feeling, but I was trying to give a new beautician a shot. I got there on time and had to wait for her to finish another client an hour and fifteen minutes later. My gut should have said go, but I am giving a new beautician a shot. After the color she began blow drying it and my hair was flying everywhere. The color came out great, however, she fried my hair and completely ripped out all the health of my hair. I went to my regular beautician to fix it a week later. I have kept my hair in a scarf the entire time and upon removal my hair had broken off from 7 inches to 2. My curl pattern is completely stripped, so to wear it naturally curly I will have to get a rod set, which had me in tears. Maybe she is better at styling other nationalities but not a black woman. read more

I just left the salon in tears. I had to go home and scrub my face and head to get the color the Whitney left in my hair and on my face, the water in my tube was black. She then dried my hair, flat ironed it to cut it, I have never had that done. I had to stop her she was buchering my hair. Now I have to find a place to fix this mess she made and its four days to Christmas. I would not recommend getting ANY service at this salon. I've had 6 inches cut off since my hair appointment there. It was quite a traumatic experience! I left and went straight to Van Michael's Aveda Salon to buy damage therapy shampoo and conditioner because when she combed my hair it was floating pieces into the air from her frying it. Its going to take another year or so to get my hair back in good shape. Save your money or pay elsewhere...words from a lesson learned. She was sweet, knowledgeable and did a great job with color choice and application. I started with dirty blonde hair and asked for frosty highlights. I've been coming here for years now. Toni is great and has always been available whenever I need an appointment. I always leave with beautiful hair and an entertaining experience. They always have up-to-date issues of magazines like Vogue, Glamour, People, & Allure which is a major plus if you're there for a while and get tired of staring at your phone. They're location is so convenient, not even a mile outside of 285 in Dunwoody. In an area like Dunwoody you wouldn't expect to find a high-quality black hair salon, but here it is. And the price hasn't changed for my wash, blow-dry, and press since I started coming here 5 or 6 years ago. Definitely would recommend! read more

I have been to Jus Hair Salon twice. Fatima definitely knows her craft. I dye my hair purple-red and went to get bright pinkish-red highlights and a trim. Other stylists have struggled to get the highlight color right, but Fatima was spot on. Fatima, the owner, did an INCREDIBLE job on my hair which isn't easy, and I can be a picky person. She enjoys taking before and after pics of her clients so that the next client has something to choose from and direct her. She did a full foil of blonde and made sure it was also blended and looking natural as well. I was nervous about the outcome but she's incredibly professional and definitely knows what she's doing. She also did a blow dry because we obviously both like to see the outcome and I ABSOLUTELY love my hair and the job she did. I will deff be back and I HIGHLY recommend her to everyone! read more

NEVER GO HERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY! my friend and I visited this salon yesterday 9/19/2017. Me and my best friend went to go and get highlights and a hair cut plus a style. We drove 2 hours from Columbus to Atlanta to come here. When we arrived Fatima was our hair stylist. She had a bad attitude to begin with. She was working on an older lady and she was going to do all 3 of us at the same time. The time was 12:30 for our appointment and she had to leave at 3 to pick her son up from school . 3 PEOPLE IN two hours. We should've turned around then. She put my friends foils in and left here under the drier to start mine. My friend sat with bleach in her hair for an hour! And the older lady has bleach in her hair for a hot minute too. Keep in mind when the older lady reminded her it's been a minute Fatima yelled at her infront of all of us. After she was done washing my friends hair she put her infront of the mirror and said for her to brush her hair out so she could cut if fast because she had to go. This was while I was still in the dryer. My friend went to brush it a huge chunk of hair came out. Fatima had an an annoyed look on her face so my friend just said never mind and Fatima told her to sit under the dyrer My friend took it upon herself to dry HER OWN hair and it looked so horrible! You could see in her eyes she wanted to cry but she just continued to dry it. Then it was my turn to get my hair washed. She washed it roughly and then grabbed her purse and walked out to get her son ! Another lady had to condition my hair .i walked out of the salon with soaking wet orange streaks in my hair. And my friend walked out with blotches of brassy highlights in her hair. No style no blow dry or anything. My friend called this morning and Fatima had a horrible attitude and won't even do a partial refund. Don't waste your money here. She treated her clients like badly and leaves them feeling worse when they walk out. We're headed to another salon today to get fixed. if no stars was a option that would defiantly be my selection, I'm very VERY sad &i disappointed with this place. read more

*****Update 5/12/16: Somehow this review came down, so I am reposting it because it is just as relevant and just as important as the "positive reviews." After my ordeal at this hair salon I was contacted via phone by the owner "Fatima", though I do not understand how she received my number. Her concern was not so much my satisfaction or dissatisfaction, rather the concern was how my review would make her shop look to people who refer to Yelp for reviews. As a business owner - shame on you. The only reason I heard from the owner was because of this review, not to follow up on my first time visit. For 2 days this owner texted and called me about my review to the point that it became tiresome and aggravating, I let her know that I was not interested in having my hair redone nor was I going to modify my review. She honestly tried to convince me that I was not entitled to an opinion rather she was more comfortable with throwing her stylist under the bus with the wheels spinning like NASCAR. *******If you don't believe me I will be more than happy to screenshot the texts.*********** #VocalConsumer This is not, I repeat this is not a salon for NATURAL HAIR. This is probably one of the most regretted experiences that I have had in a salon for quite some time and I do not say that lightly because I can be a very patient patron. So on a referral I went and had my natural hair serviced at this salon, I hadn't been in a salon in about 2 months so I was long overdue. I knew that due to natural shedding I would have some hair loss but I think the way that my hair was handled caused it to be more than what was necessary. I have thick, tightly curled so detangling properly for the health of the hair is important. At the sink the stylist proceeded to "detangle" as I call it mangle my hair. She did not have the proper combs to do so, so she used what she had (Strike 1). She started to dry detangle my hair (Strike 2), even though I politely mentioned to her that detangling with condition would make it easier. I know my hair and as a "stylist" you should know hair too. So if a client makes a suggestion and it is ignored then shame on you. So after about 20 minutes of having my hair ripped out it was washed and we proceeded with the rest of the service, which was at best mediocre. Less than 24 hours after my appointment the "style" was no longer there (Strike 3). So after wasting 5 hours of my day (that's another story in itself) and spending $80 of my hard-earned money, I decided to revert back to my natural texture so I wet my hair and as I was wetting it I could smell that some of the hair had been burnt in her "straightening process". Too bad there is not a 1/2 star selection because that is what this experience truly deserves. So will I be returning to this salon? Two words - NEVER AGAIN! read more

I'm usually not the person to do this but I wanted to share an experience I had at @jushairsalon.. my best friend and I found a deal on Groupon 49 for partial highlights cut blow dry and style. We thought it was a great idea woke up this morning and called the salon first... Fatima is the stylist I spoke with and she fit me and my friend in... so we made the two hour drive from Columbus to Atlanta to have a girls day and get our hair done.. turns out that this is the worst experience I've ever had in a salon my first time. When we got there everything was fine she foiled us up and was super nice. As the session got longer she made it seem as if we were an inconvenience because she had to pick up her son from school. Long story short. I had to blow dry my own hair and I didn't get a cut cause I felt like I was bothering her. My best friend was left with soaking wet hair and another lady at the salon had to wash her conditioner out.. I get it life happens. But this is not what we paid for. Both of our hair is very rushed and not finished. Not to mention I'm dying my hair back tomorrow dark brown cause it doesn't blend or anything. Got this as a groupon and Fatima was great. She gave me one of the best cuts I've had in a while.

I've had a good experience at the saloon. I found them through half off depot and tried it. I was very pleased with that visit. I made an appointment and they didn't try to add services to the coupon I had but I did request a rinse (I'm not ready to go gray) and it came out great. Oh, the stylist I used was Toni. She's a great and has a very calming demeanor. This has only been my second visit and I plan on returning. read more
