It's been a while since I visited Subs 'n' Bubbles, the last time it was a little down ways down…read morethe road from their current location. I remember when they were running these Subs out of Midnapore, and I discovered them, going through the Sub Menu. Every other restaurants sub was compared to Subs 'n' Bubbles!! Now, finding my self hungry after a D & D game and only a two minute drive from S 'n' B I decided to visit them at the Vision Center. (It over looks the sports areas, depending where you sit). I ordered to go, the staff were friendly, the order was quick. I had ordered the Beef sate sub no cucumber (and lo and behold it had no cucumber!!). You would be surprised at how many times I have ordered the above and gotten cucumber! So excellent attention to detail there. I also got the appetizer Goyza. Got the order paid and went home. Ok the sub was tasty, not as good as I remembered, and for the $11 price, I thought it was a little stingy on the topping and meat. You can pay $3 for extra meat, $1.50 for cheese. The Goyza was $14 I counted 10. These were some of the best Goyza I have had, even after a 15 min drive home the crispy bottoms were crunch and the top soft. Excellent flavour and even better with the dipping sauce. My wife had a couple and really enjoyed them. She was even looking for them the next day for lunch (ha ha). Now I listed the prices here for one good reason, it's no surprise, you can see it on their website. It is a cost difference for lunch and dinner for the same items. Goyza is $8.95 for lunch $13.95 for dinner. Subs are $8.95 for lunch $10.25 for dinner. So if you want to save some money, lunch is definitely cheaper. I plane to return there one day and try the lunch there. Also for you Beer Heads, they have a Suns 'n' Bubbles beer on tap, will definitely report back on that. Since this is at a sports complex, parking can be very hard, though you can now park in the parking lot north of the complex. South now has signs up warning about towing vehicles.

On top of the order for subs, we ordered two of the ten piece orders of the gyoza and they were, by far, some of the best gyoza we have ever purchased!!! If you are in the neighborhood, or if you're willing to drive for some of the best gyoza in town, this is where you should be going!!

The Mango Marvelous drink completely won us over. It's made with such fresh, ripe mangoes, and they come in big, juicy chunks that make every sip taste like real fruit (not syrupy or artificial like so many places). It's refreshing, vibrant, and honestly unforgettable. My kids are just as obsessed -- they always go for the banana shake and the banana chocolate drink, both creamy, perfectly sweet, and made with real fruit flavor. Now that we're back in town, this was an absolute must-stop on our trip. As a foodie from NYC -- where you can find just about anything -- I've searched everywhere for something that compares to Mango Marvelous. The closest I've found is HeyTea's Mango Boom, but even that doesn't quite hit the same level of freshness and texture. So happy to be back and relive this favorite. If you're in Calgary, Happy Cup is 100% worth the visit!

I then bookmarked this place. Not until recently (after over 2 years), I finally got a chance to try their shaved ice. Vancouver had shaved ice long before Calgary. It was a hit over there. Also there are way more shaved ice places in metro Vancouver. I came here with my sister just shortly after our dinner (we ate at a place just few blocks down) for some shaved ice desserts. I was very full from dinner but decided to share something with her. We ended up settling for the creamy mango shaved ice (also known as bingsoo in Korean). I had better shaved ice in Vancouver. The good thing is that Jus Fruit shaved is not really shaved from a block of ice. It was really shaved frozen condense milk ice. So it is not exactly ice. There wasn't a lot of mango in their shaved ice cream. The mango are only placed on top of the dessert along with a few tiny pieces of cheese cakes (size of pinky but shorter). As well the portion is somewhat small for what they are charging compared to Vancouver. Their shaved ice was very flavorful and it wasn't bad. Just wished there were more mango slices. Again, not a lot of places offers shaved ice in Calgary. I guess if I wanted shave ice, I would have to come to Jus Fruit.

RATING: 8.5/10 - Jusfruit: Monster Egg Bomb Sandwiches What puts this dish in a league of its own is the Danish Style toast. It was buttery, slightly sweet, flaky and reminded me of a cross between a croissant and a slice of French toast. It was a great compliment to all the other ingredients. The scrambled eggs were moist and melted into the cheddar cheese. I got the Korean Beef-- great BBQ taste and extremely tender. The BF got the Lemon Grass Chicken which had a lovely, well, lemon grass flavour. Add the spicy sauce and mayo and you have a most scrumptious creation. My taste buds were thanking me. Yours will too. I would try another one of these in a heartbeat. Perfect hangover food. If you're looking for a quick breakfast or brunch, grab one of these babies. Who else loves a breakfast sandwich?
