Place was clean and welcoming - old school diner vibes in my opinion. Waitress was super friendly - offered ice water right away as she noticed I was sweating my life away. I wasn't overly hungry, so just tried out some happy hour snacks - the salty peppery chicken was just right - nice crisp and flavour - Lemon pepper wings were a bit to lemony for me - however overall was still quite nice. The lost star went to the drink - Brown sugar oat, already anticipated this to be sweet - so I already went 50% - however even then, wayy too sweet. there was bits where it tasted like there was crystalized sugar in your mouth. I'd visit again to explore the menu if I find myself in Calgary again.

Hi Tea is super small. It has been around for a long time. Even before Chatime. They have takeout food as well. They have a lunch special every day. I highly recommend getting that. I will definitely go back for their bubble tea or bubble waffle. It is located in an area surrounded by 6 or 7 bubble tea shops. Hi-Tea along with 3 other neighboring bubble tea stores open late.

The interior is also really cute, decorated with cute little knickknacks and trinkets. Would definitely recommend if you're craving boba.

The location itself doesn't have a ton of accessible parking, as there are only some at the rear, but it's totally worth it. The cafe is very clean and cute, which is such a great spot for families and couples. We will definitely be coming back as this just gave me real bad cravings for milktea. It tastes like old frozen fruit, and yes believe me you can tell. The milk tea doesn't not taste like milk tea, it's like old powdered milk tea you would buy at tnt. Overall bubbletea score is a 2.5/5 for me. If you want appetizers though, Jus Fruit isn't bad, their takoyaki is a bit pricy but it's pretty yummy, doesn't have that flavour explosion in your mouth like authentic Japanese restaurants but for what's there it is good. Overall appetizers score 4/5.

BEST Service experience, that young lady made my day! I love their takoyaki it was delicious, they also have a really cute box holding it. I highly recommend them for a quick snacks and Bubble Tea, I love their mango coconut but make sure you ask them to blended it for you or else you will have to much coconut at the end unless you like coconut!!! read more

I ordered the duck laksa and it was amazing. For $16 you get a lot of duck, most restaurants will only give you half the amount of duck. It also includes a drink. Overall the food was yummy and it's definitely a place I would try again soon. The only downside of this restaurant is the plastic. I wish they would serve their food with normal dishes because when you eat at a restaurant it's not always fun to eat your food and plastic bowls and a flimsy plastic spoon.
