She helped accommodate my busy schedule as well. I got scheduled for Saturday morning for a cut and color. Her pricing was also reasonable. I was the only client in there and she was also very personable. I didn't feel like a stranger. She also offered coffee and water. The building is easily accessible off the main road. There's plenty of parking in the front. The salon on the inside was nicely decorated and festive. It even had some items for sale, like a boutique. Additionally, for personal reasons, I enjoy a 1 on 1 experience as opposed to a place where everyone waiting can see you, though sometimes there is another customer just waiting on something to dry. It's a building that hosts multiple stylists, but I personally sign up with Jessica Jones. Not only is she amazing in her craft, she has the name of a super hero! I've always been satisfied with my hair cuts and the conversations with her are genuine. I have to drive from Nashville to Smyrna, which is a 20 minute drive without traffic, but I find it worth it for the perfect cut.

The layers are uneven and poorly blended, and on top of that, she cut extremely short "curtain bangs" without my permission. It was hard to fully see how bad the cut was in the salon due to heavy styling and product, but once I washed and styled my hair at home, the flaws were very obvious. The highlights were just as bad -- inconsistent, patchy, and very unnatural looking. What made the experience even more concerning is that during my appointment, another customer came in to show that the hair extensions done the day before had already needed to be removed because they were installed incorrectly and were ripping her hair out. For what I was charged, I expected professional-quality work -- not something that now requires corrective services elsewhere. I contacted the owner several times respectfully requesting a refund. She initially offered to fix it herself, but when I explained I wanted a refund so I could go to a stylist I trust, she stopped responding entirely and has since ignored my messages. He had his bangs cut at a different salon 3 months ago and he sat still for the haircut but she cut his bangs without twisting them. We took my son to get his bangs cut and requested a half inch taken off. The bangs are shorter than requested and not even. She sprayed his bangs with water then twisted them and pulled them while aggressively cutting up and down the length of the twisted hair with thinning shears. Meanwhile the loose hair clippings were falling in his face (I had to wipe them off when we got to the car). He had 2 or 3 red marks on his forehead before he got out of the chair. And she was frustrated because he wouldn't sit still. She kept pressuring us to cut the back and I'm so glad we were persistent and kept saying no. We will not return. And I am leaving this yelp review after being blocked on her Facebook page after leaving my review on there.

I came to Jules for the first time after seeing a special they were running on their website. I was to get a haircut, style, and partial highlights for $65! Reese was my stylist and she was super sweet and did a great job on my hair. Despite confirming with them on Facebook messenger that I would be getting the partial highlight with the free haircut and style, I was charged $95 at checkout. Their website indicates that it is a flat rate of $65 for this special. This was my first time ever getting highlights, and I was not informed of the $30 in additional charges until after it was all done. They were closing so I paid the charges and left. The next day, my husband called and politely explained the situation, and asked if the extra $30 could be refunded. We explained that the highlights were good, just that Jules has misleading prices listed on their website. It should have said prices starting at $65 - not appear to be a flat rate. At the least, any additional foils or products should have been communicated to me before putting them in my hair so that I could decide whether to get them. Instead, I did not get that choice. We spoke on the phone with Julie, the owner and master Stylist, and she begrudgingly agreed to give us a refund. When my husband dropped by the store on his way home from work to get the refund, Julie was rude and raised her voice during their interaction. She said that we made it to be where Reese only got $15 for working for three hours on my hair, and that they do not want our business anymore. I gave Reese a generous tip for her work. It is not up to me how much the stylists get paid. I should expect to be charged what was advertised on their website and confirmed to me in writing. If Jules wants to post specials on their website to get people in the door, they need to be up front about what they will charge people. All in all, I would not recommend going to Jules. I have never met a business owner that was so rude and unprofessional. As a business owner, I am shocked at how she handled the situation by raising her voice and the rude things she said. With this experience and the fact that their prices are misleading, I would not recommend Jules. There are many other great hair salons in town.
