My stylist (Amber) not only found a way to cut through my overgrown sheepdog mop of hair, she managed to pretty much replicate the style in the photo that I brought in for guidance. So yeah, I liked the haircut a lot. More importantly, my wife thought it looked good. I appreciated Amber's good humor, her attention to detail, as well as the hot towel treatment and scalp massage she administered while washing my hair after the cut. I felt like the cut was excellent value for the money (men's cuts start at $25, women's cuts starts at $40, per the salon's website). My only quibble? It would be nice if there were a coat closet or rack or something in the waiting room so that customers don't have to try to hang winter coats on small hooks next to the styling tables. I did like the fact that there was both hot coffee and cucumber water on offer in the waiting room, although I did not have a chance to try either. I came to Jules for the first time after seeing a special they were running on their website. I was to get a haircut, style, and partial highlights for $65! Reese was my stylist and she was super sweet and did a great job on my hair. Despite confirming with them on Facebook messenger that I would be getting the partial highlight with the free haircut and style, I was charged $95 at checkout. Their website indicates that it is a flat rate of $65 for this special. This was my first time ever getting highlights, and I was not informed of the $30 in additional charges until after it was all done. They were closing so I paid the charges and left. The next day, my husband called and politely explained the situation, and asked if the extra $30 could be refunded. We explained that the highlights were good, just that Jules has misleading prices listed on their website. It should have said prices starting at $65 - not appear to be a flat rate. At the least, any additional foils or products should have been communicated to me before putting them in my hair so that I could decide whether to get them. Instead, I did not get that choice. We spoke on the phone with Julie, the owner and master Stylist, and she begrudgingly agreed to give us a refund. When my husband dropped by the store on his way home from work to get the refund, Julie was rude and raised her voice during their interaction. She said that we made it to be where Reese only got $15 for working for three hours on my hair, and that they do not want our business anymore. I gave Reese a generous tip for her work. It is not up to me how much the stylists get paid. I should expect to be charged what was advertised on their website and confirmed to me in writing. If Jules wants to post specials on their website to get people in the door, they need to be up front about what they will charge people. All in all, I would not recommend going to Jules. I have never met a business owner that was so rude and unprofessional. As a business owner, I am shocked at how she handled the situation by raising her voice and the rude things she said. She helped accommodate my busy schedule as well. I got scheduled for Saturday morning for a cut and color. Her pricing was also reasonable. I was the only client in there and she was also very personable. I didn't feel like a stranger. She also offered coffee and water. The building is easily accessible off the main road. There's plenty of parking in the front. The salon on the inside was nicely decorated and festive. It even had some items for sale, like a boutique. Currently, at the time of our service, we couldn't get indoor haircuts in California, so we decided to take advantage of our time in Tennessee. We both had Charla for our service. My cut and color was excellent and done in a timely fashion. She was very friendly, along with her co-worker Kim. I appreciated the precautions they took with the temperature taking and mask wearing, since we still are not out of this virus era. Thanks for the great service. Domini has been my hairstylist for the last three years, and she's pretty much the only person that I let touch my hair. She does an amazing job, and I always get great comments from people who notice changes. She takes great care with ensuring the cut is precise, and always make sure that I leave with correct knowledge for maintenance of my hair during the time between my cuts. I told the secretary I wanted to do it and that I wanted a same day appointment so I didn't lose my nerve, but they didn't have anything. She called me back an hour later and got me in the same day, so I went through with the whole thing. My stylist, Tracy, did a great job with the leftovers of my hair, after she cut off a ponytail. I told her to style it anyway she wanted. The style has really stayed in and still looks great, even though I should get it cut again soon. The people here were really nice and it's one of the more comfortable and luxurious salons in Cool Springs.
