He got frustrated with me when trying to explain what I needed. I spoke on the phone with him later to try to go over the plan and he cut me off and said he didn't have time for me. I told him I'd wait for him to have time because I wanted to use him and he never called me back. I do. It recommend this company based off of the unprofessional behavior of their technician. Customer service has gone completely downhill. I've called and left messages twice over the last 6 weeks and no call back. There is not a way to speak to an actual person. I have work that's already been paid for that needs to be finished. I used to always think very highly of this company, but no more. The father who ran the business was very reliable and the son who took over also used to be reliable, but no more. Being in high demand is no excuse for not even returning a call. I have a home in San Antonio that needed repairs to the sprinkler system. One of the sprinkler T-joint was damaged. I called up a few places. Everyone was giving me the standard $100/hour with 1 hr minimum. I'm no plumbing expert but I didn't think that this would take a skilled person an hour to fix. Found this business by a Google search. I read a few reviews and they sounded positive. I decided to give it a shot. I live in Houston so I called Art Perez, explained the situation on the phone, and set up an appointment. He showed up promptly on time, talked to the tenants and told them what he will be doing. Replaced the defective pipe and fixed up a sprinkler head as well. We worked out the payment via PayPal. I was satisfied with the job done. Pros: 1. Straightforward and honest about what needs to be fixed. 2. Fair price. He only charged me $60-something; that's all the time he needed. 3. Processed my payment and sent me a receipt via email. Art and his partner (Richard, I believe) came out promptly and looked over my entire sprinkler system with me. They replaced the bad sprinkler heads, adjusted coverage of some sprinkler heads and added some risers where needed. They even capped off one sprinkler head which wasn't needed any longer. And yes I do have many choices and he says he claims he does not know what I am talking about. A message was left 06-21-2017, at 1323 and art perez was talking on the message and stated how busy they were but leave a message and number and they would call back. That call lasted 54 seconds! My heroes!!!! My 95 year old Mom's sprinkler went out during the busiest and hottest time of the year for sprinkler repair. I found this company online and called. I left a message after the recording told me they were having a backlog in repairs. Art called me back and determined he was working on a job in the area, he came over after that job to look at it, immediately identified the problem and replaced the faulty part within fifteen minutes and tested the system. Ok, I can't review the work because it never took off. Initially he was going to bail on the bid because it was cool outside. After realizing it wasn't to start the work only a walk-through/bid he came out & I was highly impressed with Art Sr/Jr. Well the job was supposed to start tomorrow & I hadn't heard anything since the bid. I followed up on Friday & left a text on status. Nothing. Finally just now he calls me with attitude about not working in the rain. Which I understand but would like to have known this earlier. My next question since this situation has been iffy is "will this be an issue when the job starts, i.e. a 1.5 day job turning into a 2 wk job. I was fine with rescheduling. I had already given him my days off so I can be here. He was very argumentative and I asked if he even wanted to do the job because I still have other bids to entertain. He advised me to take another bid because HE doesn't like pressure. This was a $1200+ sprinkler job. My first experience with Just a Good Sprinkler man was so positive I recommended him to my father in law. he did some work for the F I L and charged him $300.00. A few days later the F I L noticed a station was not working so he called him back. He starting giveing the F I L a song and dance about ;it was working when I left the first time" but he mysterioiusly found a break in the power wire in multiple places and tried to convince him it all happened within a week. He wanted to charge another $300 to do some kind of work around to try to get the station working, NO THANKS! should have done it right the first time and not try to gouge an 83 year old man with dementia.
