I had One of his crew managers come out and give me an estimate to install an inground sprinkler system on my property. The estimate he provided was a great price for the scope of work involved. He arrived at my property with a professional team and knocked out this large scale job in just two days. I have a beautiful piece of property that I've spent a lot of time to make it really appealing over the last few years. A few months ago my husband call Tri country sprinklers to come down and do a required inspection for backflow required by the city of Cibolo. We were told that it didn't pass. And that it could cost $110 for the cleaning and a inspection. We paid the bill for the cleaning then received another bill for $85 for an inspection. When my husband called 3 times before to make sure the full total was $110. We would of never used tri country sprinklers but they were the only company returning calls back in February. We were told by numerous neighbors that the inspection should of been around $60 or less. Neighbors told us to report them to the city because what we are paying is way more than the city average. Neighbors have told me that their prices as a company were about 30% higher than other companies. The first call my husband made the they for confused and it took another week for a technician to come. Then another week for a "cleaner technician" to come out they did not do any follow up calls on any of the services but they sure will call when you owe them money. read more

Tri-county did my neighbors sprinkler system on October 7th 2022 and in the process hit my water main. No one knocked on my door to tell me of the incident or tried at all to inform me. They just shut off my water and dug in my yard and when I came outside to investigate, the workers acted as if nothing happened and continued to go about their business. One worker did help me reach the project manager on the phone, Andrew Delgado. He came back over to the job site relatively quickly and seemed helpful AT THE TIME. That later changed when it came to owning up to their error. They began a temporary repair with a schedule 40 PVC connected with a shark bite on to the original copper line about 6 -7 feet from where they damaged the original copper line in two places. I was informed by Andrew "They do this all the time." The connection was then angled up about 12 inches to the surface and run for several feet at the surface and then routed back down to meet the original copper line which is buried at 12 inches down at code depth. Their fix was not adequate laying the pipe at the surface. When I expressed my concerns about the line not being buried to original depth of 12 inches and possible freezing if we got a heavy freeze, I was told by Andrew Delgado that they would return to fix it the following Monday and this was temporary so I could have water. Andrew also promised insulation on pipe in case of a freeze. This was not done either. So it was left at the surface and covered with barely an inch of soil. I was also told all utilities where marked, yet they were not. There were no flags or marking of utilities prior to work commencing. Their definition of establishing a property line was Andrew waving his arm inline with a fence 60 feet away that is INSIDE my property line. I also asked the workers multiple times not to bury the damaged pipe area so I could have a plumber look at it. They did anyway. The following Monday the inspector was to come sign off on their work at my neighbors. I waited all day because I wanted the inspector to see how they did their "repair", since they never fixed it as Andrew told me he would do. Unfortunately I missed the inspector. The TriCounty workers also covered up the pipe again that I made SURE was exposed, just before the inspector arrived somewhere between 2:45 and 3:45 pm. Now on to the solution....there was NONE. The excuses and the cover up of liability began. TRI-County (Jodi) stated they will not fix it back the way it was. They claim tree roots are in the way. They already cut through multiple roots and a huge eight inch root which will eventually weaken the oak, so that excuse doesn't fly. They stated that a licensed plumber has to do the work, that they are not licensed to do that type of work, (Then why did the touch it in the first place and not call a licensed plumber after your worker broke it?) They claim my main line is on my neighbors property so its my problem, although they have no knowledge of the property line. Even if it was, YOUR COMPANY HIT IT AND DAMAGED IT AND IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBLITY TO MAKE IT RIGHT! If my car was on my neighbors property and you hit it, you are STILL responsible. I could go on with the excuses I got. I told Jodi with Tri-County I would just get a plumber and send them the bill for the proper repair. She denied any and all liability stating they won't cover anything or make the proper repair. I would never use this company after all the crap they have put me through. I'm having to pay high costs out of my own pocket for services to correct the mistakes that TriCounty made over a month ago. This is not my neighbors fault. It is TriCountys fault and responsibility. This was the first time I used Yelp for estimates for potential work. I contacted three irrigation and sod companies and this company was by far the most professional. From the person that answered the yelp message to the estimate crew led by Andrew. Then the work team led by Antonio was just phenomenal and left the place clean. The two other companies that provided estimates did irrigation AND sod but we were so impressed by this company that we ended up getting sod from one of the other companies and still using tri-county for their irrigation installation. They came before the sod was installed and didn't even expect payment until they returned almost a week later to ensure that their installation of the irrigation system would work with the sod placement and adjustments that needed to be made. Always showed up on time, professional and price quoted in line with everyone else. Truth be told, they could have charged more and we still would have gone with them just due to the great experience we had compared to the other companies that showed up and provided estimates. On August 28, 2020, Grant from Tri-County Sprinkler serviced my residential irrigation. I have five zones and I had several dry/dead grass areas. Grant replaced 12 rotors, 2 heads and 12 nozzles and adjusted them for full coverage. He also reprogrammed my control panel to increase the time each zone was on/off. My bill was $631.75 (included a military discount). I had not been in my back yard in several weeks as I was out of town in Florida visiting friends and family. Upon my return on October 20, 2020, I got out my lawn mower and while cutting my lawn, I noted a large hole near one of the rotors that Grant had replaced. Since it was after business hours, I called and left a message explaining that I had experienced a 'blow-out'. My call was returned on Oct 21, 2020 and I was told by the sweet lady that spoke to me that repair jobs are not covered beyond 30 days. Together, we scheduled a service call for the next week (earliest day available) to make the necessary repair. I talked it over with my wife and we decided that since we had already paid a large price for the job once, and the fact that it was not guaranteed beyond 30 days, then we would find another solution for my the ground repair and sprinkler fix (not this company). This is a shame because Tri-County was recommended to me by a good friend. I respectfully disagree. Any company that will not stand behind their work for more than 30 days is not a company that I can recommend to my friends. One final note to this business - goodwill, customer satisfaction and word of mouth is some of the best and least expensive advertisement you can get. read more

Kudos to Tri-County Sprinklers on a really good experience and job well done! Manuel and Carlos were late. Two hours late. Although the office had called and explained that an un- expected issue had caused a delay in the appointment schedule, the brothers apologized and got straight to work. Manuel asked a few questions about the issue at hand and I explained a few concerns as well as showed him the problematic areas. Based on the issue discussed and his observation, he accurately determined the problem, used his toner to find valve boxes covered by weed fabric and decomposed granite (work of a careless landscaper a year earlier), accessed, and corrected the issues. Explaining and exhibiting all that they found, planned to do, and did, Manuel and Carlos worked well together with a trust and efficiency that one can appreciate when being charged by the hour. A well-stocked truck provided up to date parts and tools needed for the initial issue as well as for a separate issue involving an unexpected break on a backflow preventer. A supportive and empowered office manager and staff provided fair and reasonable pricing to an elderly mother-in-law that was on a fixed income and former military. Carlos and Manuel were mentioned first as they are where the "rubber meets the road" for small businesses like Tri-County Sprinklers. Experienced, courteous, and efficient and backed by a staff that empowers them to serve their customers in an excellent manner. I had them update sprinklers in the front yard, automate my manual system and add sprinklers in the back. They are professional, hard workers and very reasonably priced. My Experience with Tri-County was not good. They didn't actually do any work for me - we never got that far. I called them and requested a quote on installing in new system in my yard. On June 6, I met with Andrew and we walked the yard. He was very nice; asked questions, took notes, and seemed very knowledgeable. When he left he told me he would have a quote for me in a couple of days. It's now been 3 weeks and I haven't received a quote. What irritates me most is that I've talked to their office personnel 4 times, and each time I'm told I'll have a quote before the end of the day. I understand this is a busy time of year, and I told them that if this is a job they can't do or don't want to do, be honest and tell me that. Still got the same promise of a quote by the end of the day and still haven't seen anything. Met today with another contractor who walked the yard with me, quoted the job on the spot, and will begin work next week. Needless to say I won't be calling Tri-County back. read more

I literally conducted a city-wide search for a company to repair my dated lawn irrigation system. I researched them based upon Better Business Ratings, Yelp and home advisor ratings. Read the reviews. Checked out their web pages. Then I called twelve of them. Wow, what a wasteland. One half did not even give me the courtesy of returning the call. Half of those who called would not visit my site and give me an estimate without issuing a service charge. My top two finalists actually visited and gave me an estimate. But one of them would not answer some follow up questions. Leaving me with Tri-County. They were professional, fair priced, and Andrew was the only guy who took the time to fire up the system and evaluate every zone and write down recommendations. He actually cares, and has the knowledge! Let me tell you, in the San Antonio lawn irrigation business, THAT is a rarity. Well, giving a bid is one thing - -but what about the installation? A crew of four men showed up exactly on time. And Andrew actually came himself to brief the crew chief on his written plan for every zone. The men worked all day and did a sensational job. And of course the big question - - does it work? Yes, I am very pleased with the system repair and upgrades.
