I really appreciate that the store is situated in the Corte Madera Town Center; it's such a welcoming place for pets. This past weekend, I visited with my family and our 3-year-old Chow Chow, who is quite selective about her treats--she only wants real meat, no artificial flavors. Right outside the store, there's a little 'Sniff spot' where you can let your furry friend explore and avoid any accidents inside. As soon as we entered, we were warmly welcomed by two very friendly staff members. There's a treat station where you can sample different flavors, allowing your dog to pick their favorite. My girl Jessie made it clear that her top choice was the Beef Brisket. Unfortunately, there weren't any Beef Brisket treats at the front of the store, but the helpful associate checked in the back and brought us a pack. They also gave Jessie some treats, which we truly appreciate because our Chow is naturally cautious around strangers, but it's essential for us to socialize her whenever we can. I'd always go to the one in West Hollywood and was assured by Oscar that I would be in great hands..and i wasn't let down once. Heather is amazing! The staff there instantly felt like family and treated my frenchie Bear like their very own!! I felt such a sense of peace that we would be so happy with the customer service. I have always believed in JustFoodForDogs since Day 1 of the Corte Madera location opening. My two dogs (one of which was diabetic) had started eating Fish & Sweet Potato as well as the Metabolic support and continued to as long as they were in our lives. Simon had bad allergies that caused him to chew on his paws and delayed hair growth after he was treated for cancer. He stopped chewing on his paws as much and his hair even regrew which was amazing. Charlie, my diabetic dog, lived for about 5 years after he became diabetic and he loved the food that kept him healthy and allowed us to lower his insulin a bit. Many years later when I moved to the Portland area (There was no JFFD location there, but there should be) I cooked JFFD Chicken & Rice at home for the remainder of our lovely golden retriever's life. I happened upon a Just Food for Dogs store the evening before it officially opened and unaware that it was not "officially" doing business I walked right in. Since that day over three years ago, I have been feeding my 12 year old Tibetan Terrier JFFD and she has never been happier at mealtime. She runs to her bowl each time for her varied meal of the day ! I have even compared blood tests from my vet of before and after her dietary change and she is much healthier! Yes - I confess I was feeding her "high end" kibble prior to making the switch. But even more, I love coming in and talking with the employees - several who have been there for all those years. We saw the shop on the way to Safeway and were intrigued so I stopped in and who are interested in the pumpkin chips we're told that they were 100% organic pumpkin and without reading the ingredients on the package unfortunately found out that they have whole wheat in them. Wheat and chicken are the number one and number two Allergan issues with regards to dogs so my bad that I did not read the label but their bad that they told me that these were just organic pumpkin chips leading me to believe there was nothing more in them than just pumpkin. So hope my dog enjoys these but they will not be getting them every day due to the wheat content. Sad. read more

Incredible customer service & premium human-grade food! My dog Petie was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney failure six months ago...I am HEARTBROKEN as he's my everything. Changing to a renal diet is crucial but he would not touch the vet-recommended Hills Science Diet or Royal Canin. It was awful to spend so much money on food only to see him smell it, back up & walk off disgusted. Fortunately I heard about JFFD at my current vet & figured it was worth a desperate try. All I can say is, it was miraculous to see him actually eat kidney-friendly food after several days of not eating a thing. Better yet, I have never received better customer service in my life (and I shop A LOT) than from Allison. I called first to tell her my situation and she was so caring and helpful that I was actually excited to come in. I cannot recommend Allison enough...her clear passion for dogs, extensive knowledge of JFFD, authenticity and positive energy is top notch. Obviously kidney failure can't be reversed but I know I'm giving my boy the best quality of life and know Allison is right there to support us. My pups and I had a wonderful visit last Friday. Heather & Haley were most helpful. I had previously purchased JFFD at a box store. The food was recommended by Instagram dog owner of Lu-Seal. She was able to drop her weight in half. My senior girl was way overweight. So we tried the food, going as far as DIY the food. After 7 months no weight loss. Visiting the JFFD store was epic! Come to find out I had misinterpreted their food chart. I interpreted their chart as dog's weight 10#s feed them 7 oz. So my girl gets 10.5 oz cuz she's 15#s. WRONG!!! If the desired weight is #10 then feed her 5ozs a day. Anyways, we're on track and will conduct weigh ins from now on. read more

We have been buying food here for about 2 1/2 years.What I didn't know is that the food, although high quality and very fresh with excellent ingredients, is too soft for maintaining good dental health. Too late for our dog, who lost 8 teeth in a recent procedure.I have emailed the company about 8 times and received no answer. I finally found a food that my Mini Schnauzer eats! YAHOO! Can't tell you what a finicky journey this little dog has put me through! Marina, spent so much time with my dog and tried various samples until my pup inhaled the Fish and vegetables. We are on our first month and so far all is great-really! Poops are firm and small, and her coat looks better! The hardest part is portioning as it does take time because it comes fresh if you choose to get best price, in a bucket. Thank you to Marina for calculating portions based on my pups weight. I keep most frozen and three days worth thawed! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable! I want to give a shout out for Just Food For Dogs!!! At first I was skeptical, but my Cavapoo Sophie ran out of her kibble and I was about to go into Safeway to buy a new bag. Instead I walked over to JFFD and got a small container of the Chicken & Rice to see if Sophie would like it. Long story short, Sophie has not had a bit of kibble in the last 3 months. She LOVES the food so much that she waits by her food bowl waiting for her breakfast & dinner. Our Vet highly approves of JFFD, and was happy that Sophie has lost 2 pounds since starting. She also LOVES the treats!!! Sophie's favorite is the Turkey & Macaroni, but she has never turned her nose up at any of the different recipes.
