First of all, I must add that all those ratings on yelp about them, could possibly be fixed, or just yelped by their own people, and is definitely misleading. I decided to choose these people because of the yelp ratings and reading the posts. The person who picked up the phone when I called was Andy, the manager. I asked him how long does it take for them to move from a 2-bedroom apt on the 2nd level in Chandler, to a single story house in Gilbert. He said on the average is 2-3 hours and at most is four hours. He will send 2 men. After doing the math, I thought it would be reasonable just to hire them for several hours. He emailed me requesting for a deposit of $100.00. Andy was very pleasant and nice over the phone UNTIL the day I move, that was when he showed his true colors. It was my mistake to let him know that I was hiring them for peace of mind's sakes and was relying on them. I even emailed him once before the move to inform him that I was not able to lift anything heavy as i tore my back ligament due to living heavy stuff whilst packing. Also, he could see from my cell phone, that I moved here from California. The day of the move, the window given to me was 11-2pm. He called minutes before 11am to say his men were going to be late, probably about 12.30pm - 1pm, and I said it was good, as it would gave me time too. By 12.30pm, I was ready, but they were not. Past 1.15pm, I gave him a call, and he claimed that his men will be late as they were moving at another house, and they will be showing up one hour later. I told him that was highly unacceptable, and he said his men were going to show up between 12.30pm and 1pm. This is where Andy showed his true colors. He THREATENED to have the men not show up at all. I said that was obviously a threat, and he knows I was relying on them to move. After hanging up the phone, I got extremely upset by the threat. I wanted to withdraw from hiring them, but my friend said I should just hire these people, as they are almost arriving. Also she said I would just deal with the movers from that point onwards, but not Andy. BIG MISTAKE!! I just have followed my gut instinct. About one hour after the men showed up, Andy called me to say he recommends hiring a third guy, and it would speed up the move process faster. He said I have to pay $20 more an hour, totally $110 an hour. I explicitly told him over the phone he was trying to rip me off. My friend took over the phone, she told him there's no need to send another guy as it will end up costing the same. His lame excuse was that one of his men (must be the younger one, whom I do not know his name) called him to tell him that this is a "big move". I only have furniture in the living room, the master bedroom, and lots of stuff in trash bags and a cat tree in the guest room. Why he called it a "big move" he did not explain. All I know is of the two men moving, I see Rick, the older man, always doing something and moving. The younger guy was not often seen, and I even spotted him moving one chair (super light) at a time. They were taking my furniture apart which I deemed most unnecessary. Even a small coffee table, which could easily be carried by one man, was taken apart. They did this with most of my furniture. They wanted to take my huge cat tree apart, i told them "no" as that was highly unnecessary as the tree was delivered by itself. There was no need to be taken apart at all. When they moved my furniture to my new house, I noticed one of my mirror tables was scratched up around the edges. It was badly scratched as the wood part from within was visible. I pointed out to that younger mover. He claimed that my previous movers must have done it, as the brown parts were indications that these were old scratches. By saying that, he was actually incriminating himself. I told him that I bought this table in CHANDLER, ARIZONA, not in california, and that morning when I cleaned it, there was not a single scratch. They dragged on the time, and the entire move lasted TEN (10) HOURS!!! Again, mine was from a 2-bedroom apartment!! They timed in well, as they stopped at almost 10 hours later. In total, I was charged $979. Everyone told me I was ripped off. That young guy took pictures of the scratches and said his boss is going to say the same thing he told me. That did not make sense at all, his boss was not even there, how could he just take in their side of the story at all? That was when I realized for sure they have NO intention of taking responsibility for damaging my furniture. I am going to send this same report to better business bureau, also, I would like to take them to small claims court. What they are doing is just not right, and the better business bureau needs to know this. Please read what I wrote carefully, and Please do NOT USE THEM.. EVER!! I have used Just-in time moving twice. The first time was in 2013 to move from my 2 bedroom apt to a town home, and a second time from that townhome to a house. In both times, I did a full search of moving services and Just-In time won my business both times. Our most recent move was just beyond belief. We hired 4 guys and 2 trucks for the move, and the team cleaned out *TWO* storage units in 41 minutes. The storage unit was located on the second floor so that time includes dealing with the elevator. The took around 90 minutes to packup our entire home, and the unloading for a two story home took just over two hours. They were moving so fast. One of the guys (I think his name was Tarek) was actually running back to the truck to get more items. Another person that really impressed us was Austin. He moved me the first time and talked to my wife about rabbits. Somehow he remembered us and asked about our pet rabbit even before he saw it. Their customer service is just through the roof. Finally, I wanted to call out the other movers on our team which were Zach, Mike Mitchel, and Ramon. Also, for anyone reading this who has a two story home, Ramon was just a superhere when it came to the stairs. We sat in the living to direct the flow of boxes, and we were continually impressed at that dude's strength + ability to manipulate the corner. One last comment to anyone considering this company. I had several cheaper estimates, and I chose to go with Justin Time because I knew they would deliver amazing service. When we wrapped things up, they came in $232 lower than the low end of their estimate. Andy gave us a range of $1600 to $2000, and our final costs ended up being $1368. I truly appreciated him giving us such a realistic estimate, and I think we ended under the low end due to the prep work that we had done prior to the movers arriving of sorting and stacking the vast majority of our boxes. All in all, absolutely amazing company and experience. We will be using them for all future moves, and I won't even be checking prices with other companies. I only called Just in Time Moving to move our belongings from our house because they had such high reviews but after using their service I wish I had called other companies. They were 15 minutes late for the start time but that was fine with me because I was not ready so real complaint about that. They brought a truck that did not fit all of our items. We had to make several trips a hour and half one way to pick up the remainder of our items. We have baby twins and a toddler so they come with a lot of stuff. They did give us a discount to make up for that and I was satisfied. But the next day I discovered they damaged one of our dressers on the top and it is pretty significant. Now this dresser wasn't expensive but the point of hiring movers is so you don't have to deal with moving anything and in hopes they take good care of your items. They also did not use the mattress cover I provided and did not bring a mattress cover for our king size bed I requested. They barely shrink wrapped any of our furniture nor did they use any blankets to protect any of the furniture. So now I wonder what other damaged they did to our furniture. They guys were friendly and moved relatively fast; however, next time I will do more research. If we move again I don't think I would call Just-in Time Moving. I would like to add after reading my review I did get a call from Justin. He assured me my furniture was protected in the moving van, which is nice to hear. And that they normally do not use mattress covers for local moves since all furniture is protected in the moving van with furniture pads. He is willing to have at his cost to repair the damage to my dresser. He also stated the truck they used is the largest truck they can use and well basically I had to much stuff (my words) lol. I cannot say enough kind things about this company! I have moved several times in the last few years, and Just-In Time Moving is by far the best. I emailed Justin for a quote about a week before I was moving and I received a response, complete with a quote, in less than a few hours. Their available times did not quite match up with when I would be ready to move, but Justin made it work. I received a confirmation phone call the day before my move, and the truck arrived prompty on time. Apparently my two movers had been at a larger move before mine and had an extra guy with them. I ended up with three movers for the price of two! Upon arriving, all three men introduced themselves to not only myself, but my mother and friend as well. It was apparent from the beginning that they took prode in what they did and I knew it was going to be a good experience. My three bedroom house was loaded in just about an hour and I was amazed at how efficient and how well the team worked together. I think I was most impressed that they did not have to take my treadmill apart, which had not been the case in my previous moves. They moved each box with care and often a smile on their face (especially Mike). The unloading process took about the same as the loading, just about an hour. All of my furniture was reassembled and placed exactly where I needed it. Not a single thing was damaged or broken. Just-In Time Moving made my experience a very positive one and helped me restore faith in moving companies. I will recommend them to anyone I know that will be moving - they take a lot of stress out of the process! From the minute I called JIT, I knew I was dealing with a different company. Let me start by prefacing: moving is a nightmare. To add to that, finding reliable, honest, punctual and professional help creates most of the stress of the entire process. The folks at JIT made our move not only stress free, but enjoyable. Where to begin? From the wonderful front desk staff who picked up the phone and gave me a detailed quote without requesting an email address or phone number, somehow addressing all of my questions and concerns before I could ask them, to my day-of moving crew - JIT is the best. I was reminded through text message and email a week prior and a day prior to the move. Then on moving day I got a 15 minute heads up that the crew was on their way. Shawn and Alex were my crew and I was blown away by how respectful, kind, enjoyable and professional they were. They were efficient, asked questions about specific items and even asked if I minded if they played music from their truck. They packed my truck and it looked like a Tetris puzzle, and they did it in no time at all. They helped me load and unload a three bedroom home (five miles away) in just over two hours. Seeing as they charge by the hour and increments of prorated 15 minutes after, I was close to paying for another 30 minutes. But Shawn stopped the clock for me and rounded down to save me money. When I say I scour reviews for companies to use, I am as vigilant as they come. Let me say this - these guys are the BEST. Their pricing is more than fair, the experience is a joy given how awful moving is and there's no better people that deserve the business. Stop the search and call JIT. Sadly I don't usually take the time to write reviews. I've moved 5 times in the last 7 years and used other companies in the valley, so I know what good and bad movers looks like. This was a rare excellent experience, and I had to share it with others. Everything about my experience with Just-In Time Moving was great. It started with excellent customer service when I called to make an appointment, provided reasonable pricing and resources for the job required. Before my move date, they reached out to confirm my appointment time, location, and moving supplies required. On the move date, the movers called me before they arrived to give their exact ETA, showed up as communicated and immediately got to work. They listened to my instructions and any concerns over fragile items, and they were extremely efficient, careful and meticulous. Not a wall was bumped, not a scratch or dent on any furniture, and no floor damage. They packed a u-haul I ordered, and I had another moving company unload it a few hours outside of Phoenix. The movers unloading the truck actually complimented the packing of the truck! As I unwrapped everything, I was astounded by how well they wrapped everything and while I was nervous some items weren't wrapped well enough, everything was flawless! They really know what they're doing, and most importantly, they cared about the quality of their work. That's rare in any services company, and extremely hard to find with a moving company! First, let me say I never give five stars, so in my previous post, I only listed four. I spent the last 28 years in my home and you can only imagine the amount of stuff, now on top of that add four English Mastiffs and a cat, and you have a lot to move. We first start with a meet and estimate by Bobby, then a phone call from Gina, top rate customer service. I want to express my gratitude to Just-In Time moving for handling a very stressful move with total professionalism. I also want to express my thanks to Mike E., Rick, and Robert. I deal with very large contracts on a day to day basis and if only 10% of those contracts, had the attitude, professionalism and work ethic that these three do, my life would be much easier. I have never met such an outstanding company as this moving company, no damage, no scratches...they treated my belongings as if they were their grandmothers, I am not joking. Robert moved my neighbor and as he was going to work, he stopped got out of his car, walked over and shook his hand, and said thanks. Do you need more of a reference than that? I have already endorsed them to some of my friends that are moving, I have only one word of advice to anyone this is contemplating a move. Call them, pack your own belongs things that you are going to wear and need, then have an ice cream cone and watch this company perform. Just-In Time handled the move for my senior mother-in-law from a single family home to an apartment in a senior retirement community. From the first phone calls to the final box, everything was so pleasant and professional! Brooke made the estimate process easy and very accurate. Everything was clearly communicated! When we ran out of time and boxes, we were able to have some materials sent with the crew for them to do the final packing on the morning of the move. The moving crew of Chavez, Gilberto and Baca were AMAZING! They were so kind and efficient. They packed the remaining items efficiently and carefully. When it was time to load the truck, they did so with tremendous care and precision. They were also super friendly and kind to all of us, particularly, my senior mother-in-law who is super picky about how her stuff is handled. This crew got nothing but rave reviews from the most discerning audience. :) At the retirement community the crew again surveyed the environment and made a plan before unloading anything. By doing that they established the best, safest and most efficient way to get everything unloaded and placed in the new apartment. Whenever anyone in our family or circle of friends moves again, Just-In Time moving will be at the top of the list. The process is simple, clearly communicated, and executed flawlessly. We hate moving ... let's just get that straight right now. That being said, at least Just In Time moving made the process as easy as it can be. We've used them for two moves in a row and stumbled on them on because our normal movers were busy the day we wanted to move. That's right, I said our "normal movers" (:: face palm ::). Both moves with them were as easy as they could be. And god bless Brian because during our first move, we were doing a big down-size and I had planned on putting some larger pieces of furniture into storage. No big deal, right? Except when we got to the new house and realized even more furniture and items wouldn't fit, I kept adding to the storage unit to the point where it wasn't fitting anymore. Brian was just super easy going and kept redoing the inventory paperwork. PS - I felt like a huge idiot but there was seriously no way some of this stuff was fitting into the new place. Fast forward to our move into our current home, they were super speedy in and out of the home. You never feel like they're dragging their feet to get more time in ... absolutely not. You turn around and BAM, they're already done. Brian also had the luxury of moving us into our new home (which was hilarious because he actually remembered some of our furniture and asked "uhhh did I do your last move?") and was more than patient when we made a few audibles with last minute changes of how furniture was to be placed. Just In Time moving created the very best moving experience we have ever had. We have used many different moving companies over the past 20 years and this was by far the very best experience we have ever had. I work in the service industry as does my wife and over the past few years, I have seen a dramatic decline in customer service and service in general. This company crushed that stigma for us in 2 days. Day 1 was packing day and they were so fast and efficient, overly nice and just went above and beyond to help us and they were done before we knew it. Our entire home was boxed up and ready to go and we literally sat down with nothing to do after they had left because we figured it would take the entire day. Day 2, they showed up at 7am and were moving faster than we could keep up with. Not one thing was lost or damaged and the guys were so nice and helpful. I just wanted to provide them lunch and water and make sure they were well taken care of, but they didn't even stop to eat or drink, they just worked and moved so fast and were beyond friendly with myself and my family. If you are looking for a friendly, family orientated moving company, I recommend Just In Time - from the start when I scheduled the appointment - to the end when they drove off, it was the very best experience I have ever had.
