I ordered the peppercorn roast beef on Nov. 27, 2023. It took a while for the server to come to the table. I could not eat the roast beef as I couldn't chew it enough to break it down. I tried a second piece with the same result. While the waitress did not charge me for the meal, I advised her that the hard water stains on the bottom of the water goblet were unsightly to customers. It shows they don't seem to care. The excuse that it's hard to get the stain off is unacceptable. I went there a few evenings back and it took 7 minutes for the waitress to come to take me to a table. She was busy having social time with the guests. The pork cutlet took another 30 minutes to arrive and it wasn't that great. The bill took another 15 minutes. The decor is in need of improvement as the back material is stained and the edges of the seats are frayed. read more

This is my favourite restaurant in Olds. Seated in a booth which allowed for some privacy. Had pirogies and sausage. Followed by apple pie and camomile tea. Food arrived fairly quickly. Waitress stopped by a few times to attend to our needs. Food tasted great. Next time will probably have the steak salad. Will definitely come back next time I'm in the 'hood! read more

Just ate here. Food was good. Service was meh. Sat at the near empty bar to have a snack and watch the game and the bar tender kept pushing me to take the bill. Felt like I was being pushed hard to leave -- so I did. BPs across the road lets you linger. I'll go there now and go there in the future. read more

I joined my friends at Just Jacks after work on Friday and was frankly shocked by how poor the service was. There were 4 servers on staff, however, not once were we approached by any member of the wait staff - I had to go to the bar to order a drink (after waiting at our table for close to 10 minutes), and when we wanted food or more drinks, we had to flag our waitress down every. single. time. The restaurant was NOT busy - there may have been a total of 4 tables occupied. At any given time, all 4 girls could be seen standing at the opposite end of the bar talking to each other (I took a photo for posterity). One of them was overheard complaining that she'd been called in and that she was a supervisor and NOT a server - what she was supervising was never determined, because she was never observed providing any direction to the wait staff (unless she told them to stand around and talk to each other while ignoring the customers? If so, they did a great job!). Oh, we also made the mistake of asking for popcorn. Bad idea. The 'supervisor' was visibly annoyed by this and begrudgingly made it for us, but made sure we knew that she wasn't happy about it. Next time we'll be sure to bring our own food and drinks so that we don't inconvenience any of the staff. read more

Don't expect to have the prime rib/roast beef on Sunday night if you have an uneven number in your group wanting beef. Not sure what would prompt them to implement a change like this. Means no more Sunday night visits from our family. read more

Great selection of craft beers on tap, including Olds College brewery beers. Great watering hole to get away from the mainstream beer selections available everywhere else. A cold beer goes great with the Just Jack's burger...One of the best in town! read more

Worst service. Went to the Just Jacks lounge at the Pomeroy to try it out. Just wanted drinks and to watch a game with my husband. Walked in and one table was full (5people) and one person sitting at the bar. Waitress and bar tender noticed us as we sat down. We waited 15 minutes and no one came to us to see what we wanted. I caught the eye of the bar tender and no reaction. We got up to leave and I looked at the bar tender again no reaction. Will not go back there again FYI we went to BP's lounge right after and moment we sat down we got served and BP's was full just goes to show the people know where the right place to go is. read more
