I must say I was…read morea little worried at how they would react to the dentist, but they did an excellent job, and that's because Dr. Hollywood and her staff really put them at ease. My daughter still talks about her "trip" to the Dentist and how she can't wait to go back. She constantly wants to brush her teeth, and things are just right with the world! We went as a family this past Thursday. They took many safety precautions due to COVID19 and I felt very comfortable going into their office. We called when we arrived and they had us wait outside until it was our turn (which was not a long wait at all). We went in and towards the back where there was a room that had two chairs. My husband held my son on his lap and I held my daughter on mine. Dr. Hollywood came to say hi before the kids got their teeth cleaned. The dental hygienist was very patient and talked my daughter through her first cleaning. She counted her teeth, and cleaned them with a chocolate flavored toothpaste (my son had the orange). After the cleaning we had to wait just a little bit to see Dr. Hollywood again. She gave us some tips on brushing and flossing, and told us we can begin to use a very small amount of fluoride toothpaste. The appointment ended with a fluoride cleaning. It was quick and painless. My kids were then giving little "goodie" bags and even received a coin to get a small prize from the front of the office. It was such a pleasant experience and I'm so happy to have found Nutley Pediatric Dentistry. Thank you so much Dr. Hollywood and staff for making my kids first dental appointment so easy. We are looking forward to our next visit!

It was a regular check up as we have 2 visits per year included in our insurance and this office is in-network. We were attracted to the reviews and distance from home. The woman who initially answered the phone rudely told me she couldn't see my child at that office and they couldn't open a new chart for her and tried to dismiss me; this was specifically after being told by the North Brunswick office that the treatment my daughter needed could only be done in the Greenbrook location. After calls going back and forth between North Brunswick and Greenbrook, Greenbrook finally called and said they would see my daughter, but I had to register her as a new patient, for whatever reason they would not transfer her file. It finally comes time to make her appointment and there are insurance issues. The office was completely unhelpful in trying to resolve them. The issue is finally resolved, and I made an appointment for my daughter two weeks or more ahead of schedule. I called to confirm the appointment, confirm the insurance, and let them know a different family member would be taking her. My family member showed up with my daughter only to be told they wouldn't see her- again because of insurance. When I called to find out what was going on, I asked to speak to the office manager or the person who handled the insurance, which I know to be a woman. Instead, after some whispering the young man who answered the phone came back on claiming to be said person. I was then told that someone tried to contact me and cancel the appointment but my mailbox was full. There were NO MISSED CALLS of any kind, my voicemail box WAS NOT FULL, and even if that were the case there is a secondary number and email to reach me. Smile Express knew full well their contract with HBCBS would be ending September 1, and my appointment was scheduled for September 2. Their attempt to contact me was on August 29th. This office is full of nothing but disrespectful liars and I pray that no one continues to use them.

I was also assured that it wouldn't be a problem, they will submit everything. I never received an estimate on the work they would do but received a bill later for $600. That is not a small amount. The insurance didn't cover the type of filling they used or the nitrous oxide at all, they never told me.
