I have a membership threw Walmart that includes Just lift as a gym that is accepted with the tier I'm in. Well I went into the gym the girl I talked to refused to listen to anything I had to say. Even though I showed her on my phone that Just lift was one of the gyms listed in my package. They really need to talk to the people in the front about customer service as well as what is accepted and what isn't. And if the gym isn't accepting the membership they really shouldn't have it listed in the available gyms. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

Just Lift continued to charge her upwards of $500 dollars and then sent her to collections. She's overseas serving her country and these horrible people took advantage of her. Joined this gym for a week now. I'm interested with the Zumba classes. The Zumba is fun. The area is very wide. They got more than 1 dumbbell zone . Clean and nice ambiance. Music not too loud. They also got lady pink room where mostly girls workout there. It's cute and nice. read more

Got a membership for my son while he was in highschool, a few years later he moved out of town and I went to the gym and cancelled the membership. The following month I was charged again. Called they said they'd fix it. They didn't so I put a stop on my creditcard. Fast forward 3 months, I get a bill for the 3months plus a cancelled payment charge. So I call, they claim they couldn't cancel my membership because I had a past due amount. A past due amount in December, when I cancelled in November?? Apparently when you cancel, you still get charged an additional month, which they don't tell you (though they said it is on the cancellation paperwork you sign, though they don't give you a copy or point that out when you cancel). And then try and continue to charge you till you pay.... Insane. Though they eventually wave the additional months, after agreeing to pay the "additional month" charge and penalty to make it go away. Never heard of any business charging you an additional month membership, after you cancelled. Judging by other feedbacks, this is their normal practice. If you need money that bad, just raise your rates and stop the shady practices. read more

I have been a member of Just Lift (JL) gym since they took ownership in 2016. JL is a family owned gym in Hanford that provides a decent amount of fitness options for $25 a month. In this review, I'll break down this gym in different sections from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. PARKING: 5/5 JL offers adequate parking for members. I've never had an issue finding parking, even during the peak hours in the evening. STAFF: 3/5 The staff are very friendly, but besides greeting members at the front desk, they don't seem to do much. I personally have never seen a staff member organize any equipment or do anything besides say hello, sell goods, and say goodbye. I believe their lack of duties is a cause of some of the shortcomings of the gym, but of course, this is a symptom of poor management. EQUIPMENT: 2/5 There is a LOT of equipment at JL, but a LOT of it doesn't work and/or is very dated. Equipment is broken more often than not, and the upholstery on most equipment is begging for help. JL has made an attempt to improve by purchasing new equipment, including Olympic lift platforms, but 90% of the equipment must be 15+ years old. Some of the metal plates are broken, and management bizarrely refuses to remove it, increasing the irresponsible likelihood of injury. Barbells have loose nuts, and staff will not notice until a member tells them. ORGANIZATION: 0/5 Organization is nonexistent, so good luck finding anything at this gym. Dumbbell racks have no labels, so the racks are a free for all. Members will stack dumbbells on top of eachother rather than re-recorded them properly. It's common to find a dumbbells pair in a completely different room. Weight trees are abysmal to look at. Attachments are strewn around on the floor. This lack of organizational culture in the gym stems from a lack of enforcement by management and staff. LOCKERS: 4/5 The locker rooms have been renovated lately, and they are actually quite nice now. JL replaced stained carpets with nice faux wood. The locker rooms also feature saunas, which is a very nice perk. NOTE: There is NO HYDRATION STATION OR WATER FOUNTAIN in this gym. Personally, I find this unacceptable at any fitness center. Management has personally told me "we make too much money selling water bottles to install a water station." This greed is very off putting. OVERALL: 2.5/5 JL is a half decent gym for the price. intermediate/advanced gym goers will probably not mind the shortcomings of the gym, but the lack of organization and lackluster equipment can make it an intimidating place for beginners. read more

Why are the patrons using the same cloth to wipe down equipment? Disgusting!!!!!! That is definitely not a clean practice. Invest in some paper towels. With all of the memberships JL has, they can afford it. And that water from the fountain can't be safe to drink from. I had to spit the water out because it had a weird chemical taste. Better bring your own water. Some of the equipment is looking pretty beat up too. A lot of The benches have holes and the treadmills are out of order most the time. Some of the weights look as if they need to be retired. Step your game up JL. Gonna have to cancel my membership soon. But I'm pretty sure they wouldn't care. read more

My daughter is in the daycare and she gets excellent care there! i do wish they had like a camera in the daycare room so i could check on her while working out. For those considering joining Just Lift please keep reading. In July of 2018 I entered a two year contract with J.L. At the onset of the pandemic (March 2020) I canceled my membership by calling and speaking with an employee. Fast forward to July of 2022 I received a notice from a collection agency stating that I owe J.L. $500 in unpaid dues. After speaking with Mallory, she didn't care that I had in fact canceled my membership years ago. She claimed that it must be in writing and they had no record of my call. The fact that my credit card STOPPED being charged after I canceled in March was a meaningless fact to her. After lots of back and forth we did settle below the $500 however STEER CLEAR OF THIS GYM AND THEIR CORRUPT WAYS! read more

Owner has been trying to take several members to collections over not paying dues during Covid shutdown when in fact he was the one, who mentioned it several times on social media, that no payments would be collected. Equiptment is missing, no rig, racks gone, only one class, owner has pushed out all the good trainers. Owner can't even offer a military discount. After you cancel your membership, they go ahead and charge you an extra month and threaten to send your account to collections if you don't pay it. Probably one of the scummiest moves I've ever seen. Was charged fees for two months after quitting my membership. . A friend had the same thing happen right after the management change. I thought it was just a mistake. Then it happened to me. Been to several gyms in the area and this is my go to place to get my workout on! New management, no longer VQ Fitness, the owners and trainers are very nice and knowledgeable. Plus I like the open space where you get a nice sight line of all the weights and exercise machines. Try this new establishment out! They offer great sign up deals as well, so I can't complain. I'm in and out when I'm done. The only drawback is parking gets pack during peak hours. Usually around 7-9 am and 4-6 pm. But other then that great place to get your sweat and workout on. read more

I recently decided to get back into the gym after taking a year off. Not knowing which gym in the Hanford area would be worth going to I took a tour of multiple gyms. This gym by far was the worst one in the area. The non-existing A/C was a huge issue, causing the stench of human sweat to linger as if it was a highschool football locker room in August. The locker rooms were dirty and looked like they have not been cleaned in months. Not to mention the broken and unsafe equipment throughout the whole gym. The front desk staff could really care less about their members and were lackadaisical in trying to sign me up. By far the worse experience trying to find a new gym. read more

The staff working there are incredibly unprofessional. Especially in Billings. I was being charged for a membership I had already paid off since I was no longer going to be in the area. I called to speak to the owner about 5 times and was told he would call me back to discuss it & not once did I hear from him. Then I find out they sent my contract to a debt collector who were asking for a ridiculous balance. Luckily I cut a deal with them and paid half of that because I was tired of trying to get a hold of this gym and hearing the run around. I just wanted this mess to be over with! I'm glad to be done with this gym and I tell everyone I know not to go there unless they want to get screwed over. read more

Old school hammer strength equipment, even had a few 100lb plates you dont see in chain gyms. locker room super clean, nice size lockers and despite what I read in reviews, this place looks to be really kept up. dumbells were an issue til I spoke with the owner and saw the new dumbell room ,w/new bells, being added on. overall its definitely a drive worth taking a few times a month. family owned and operated and just a good environment. read more

I have been in the kings county area for about 6 months now. I have been wanting to join a gym. I tried out inshape and wasn't a fan. I was referred to Just life Gym from a colleagues spouse who took yoga at the gym. I checked out his Instagram and everything looked great. I was looking forward to signing up and using him as a personal trainer. I showed up to just lift gym on 1/16/19 in the evening after I got off work. I was walking in when I watched a man walk over and start screaming at a member walking out of the gym. Telling him to punch him, stating he had beef with this member. He kept yelling at him, and using vulgar language. It was then I realized this man who was screaming profanity at this member was in fact the trainer I was planning on signing up with. Cory A. The member who remained completely calm seemed confused on why this employee was flipping out on him. I started approaching and he looked at me then looked back at the member, said f*** you and drove away. Now I would like to think this isn't a normal thing for just lift gym. But I got back in my truck and signed up with another gym. I hope just lift keeps their members safety in the future. read more

I have been almost 15 years faithful to another gym (in-shape) but after having my daughter (now 2 years old) I struggled with getting back in the gym, having the child care I thought things would be easier to get back to the gym life but at in-shape my daughter hated it, literally screaming crying to where she couldn't breathe. I would try different methods to get her to get use to it but nothing worked. After a conversation with Dana she informed me of everything they have to offer the children and how they are cared for. She took time out of her day to meet me at the gym and tour the day care while it was closed. My daughter is in heaven. She straight up tools me to leave so she could play. The vibe was comfortable for her to be without me and the variety of toys made it to where she was in her own little world. I got to go the whole hour in my workout without getting called over (and they don't use an embarrassing loud speaker so the whole gym knows your child is acting up). The only problem I have now is getting this little girl to leave her new found happy place. Dana was the sweetest with concern and confirmation of my daughters care and that means the most to me that the little members matter too. read more

I enjoyed this gym overall. Definitely has all the equipment you need for a great workout. Cons- definitely need some cardio equipment updating. I had to run on 3 different treadmills to find one that didn't hesitate or make loud noises while I ran. Also- invest in a better way to clean your equipment . Using the same towel (as everyone else) to wipe down your machine is disgusting. My current gym uses disposable wipes, which is much more sanitary. read more
