While the design suite was beautiful and custom - it was hard to get Sheryl to take feedback without getting defensive - leading to products that didn't quite get it right. However, the major complaint is WAY past the deadline. Invitations are slated to go out pretty close to the wedding if you are at the end of the season. We specifically requested an earlier delivery date in our contract - instead we got the invitations later than the original date. However, Sheryl didn't change the RSVP by date when she finally sent them out - so people had no time to RSVP. Some people were scanning and faxing their RSVPs back because they were so worried they were past the deadline. Paper Moxie expressly states that they are not responsible for proofreading in their contract. However, they don't state that when you send them corrections you have to triple check that they actually did them... For a seriously high end invitations suite, the customer service and final product just aren't where they need to be. By far the wedding vendor I was most disappointed in.

When our venue was shut down 14 days before our big day we felt absolutely helpless - we had no idea where to even begin to find a venue, cater, day-of coordinator and not to mention re-plan all the logistics, etc... I had a wonderful experience working with Stephanie when I was in my cousin's wedding party last September, and so we reached out to her for advise. She immediately jumped into action while on a drive home from a hike with her family and had three venues all with in house catering available on our date and standing by for us to visit for a tour. Stephanie was already booked with TWO weddings our weekend, but still stepped in with a big smile on her face ready to save the day. Within 48 hours Stephanie helped us get from feeling defeated to excited and confident that our day was going to be better than we could have ever imagined. I like to think of myself as a pretty organized, type A personality and always said "I see the value of a day-of coordinator, but planning my wedding will be fun! I don't need to hire someone to do it for me!" What I didn't realize until working with Stephanie was that with the right wedding planner, it actually becomes MORE fun! In the process of relocating to a beautiful new office space, you'd expect Liza and her team to be rattled. But no. Not only are they cool as cucumbers, they still have time to find new fabrics and make new linens! I was more than impressed with not just the variety of options, but the quality. Nothing in Seattle can compare to this! Some linens are reversible, some are sheer, some are floral, some are solid... you name it, they've got it! I'm thoroughly impressed with Choice and would be hard pressed to go with someone else if I had chairs or tables to cover for any upscale event.

I originally met Adina based on a suggestion from my wedding planner…read more When we originally met I was very happy with Adina and she presented me with many different options. So many in fact that I was overwhelmed when I left. She followed up our meeting with an email explaining the different ideas we had discussed, but I could not remember all of the styles, so I asked for another meeting so that we could cut down on the selections and I could remember what it was that we had discussed and I could select a specific style. Adina was getting ready to go to New York to do a show and present some of her new line at the show. We met and I was able to get the selection down to two styles and she said that once the artwork (I was to provide based on our theme) she would present to inkjet versions for me to decide which would be the final one to print. Her contract states that she will only do a max of X revisions. I was hesitant to sign at that point, but Adina assured me that she never really followed that and she wanted to make sure that we were both happy with the final product. So, I signed the contract at which time she also stated that she would be sending me a questionnaire to complete to track our conversations and that there would be some overlap. All throughout this process she was aware that this was for a same sex couple. Her questionnaire arrived, but it was all addressed to the bride throughout the form. I started to fill it out, but as I went through it, all that was presented were questions for the bride to answer and then information regarding the groom. I finally refused to complete the form and sent an email back to Adina explaining how I felt regarding the form. To Adina's credit, she was very apologetic and said that we could meet and discuss it. I was not sure what we would discuss, but I accepted the apology and tired to move forward. When we did get the mockups of the invites, we selected the format and the style of font that we wanted to use. This took it from about 5 or so possible choices to one. It was then that we started to run into problems. We requested some word changes and some spacing changes. We were completing the fourth such change, basically clearing up some of the issues that I thought should have been fixed automatically when the word changes were made at which point she said any additional changes would be charged, which were in direct conflict of what she had said when I hesitated to sign the contract. I re-read the contract and reiterated our conversation at which point she said that she would still charge for additional changes. Luckily for us, this round cleared all of the issues with what she had done. We left without having her finish the job and found someone who was much better to work with and the final version was worth the extra money that we had to pay. We actually had to bring our wedding planner in to finish things off with Adina as well. Our wedding planner was not able to determine what the problem had been either.
