I bought a puppy from Just Pets about a week ago that has a cyst and Just Pets refuses to do anything about it. They won't even return my phone calls. While playing with the puppy in the store the puppy had a bump on his behind which we thought were his testicles. After taking the puppy. We have shown Just Pets our vet records and the fact that the vet insists that Just Pets take care of the costs for removing the cyst and I am very upset with the way I have been treated as a customer. The cyst was removed (on my dime). When I purchased the puppy I was assured that everything was fine with the puppy and the free vet visit within the first week should assure that fact...the first vet visit assured that there was a growth that had to be removed. DO NOT buy a puppy from this place unless you want to pay through the roof in vet bills. A puppy store shouldn't sell dogs with defects or cysts and now I'm stuck. read more

The horrific smell inside this place was enough for me to basically walk in and immediately walk out. It's terrifying--I don't understand how it's legal for places like this to stay open. Tiny glass cages with holes in the top so they can breathe (no living thing should have to breathe that air) where puppies would hit their heads if they went up on their paws. SO many puppies in each cage. These poor animals....it's just beyond upsetting. The animals are so clearly in distress and MANY look extremely unhealthy. read more

We purchased a Golden Doodle from this store on Sept. 5th, 2020. She started throwing up yellow bile and wouldn't eat for 3 days after bringing her home. I called the owner as that's what they tell you to do PRIOR to calling the vet they offer a free check up with. He gave me a list of foods to try and get her to eat, she wouldn't drink either. I took her to our vet and they thought it may have been a reaction to her vaccines she JUST had. You think you would watch a puppy for a couple days after vaccines before selling. My other dog now has Kennel Cough and vet said, "the puppy was most likely the carrier." Please don't spend $3,000 on a puppy here, they are most likely from puppy mills and NOT healthy like they claim. read more

I'm standing by the library across the way, waiting for it to open and all I can hear are the dogs barking incessantly in their cages. I walked over and peeked in the window and they saw me and started freaking out. As I walked away, they all started whimpering. It's pathetically sad. It's currently 8:45a and Just Pets doesn't open until 11a. I can't imagine how long these dogs have been barking for and how long they will continue to be ignored. read more

No stars on this! Do not purchase a dog from this pet store or any pet store in that matter. The so called "breeders" that they get their dogs from are either made up or do not do the basic health clearances that is a standard. In May of 2012 I purchased a male yellow Labrador retriever puppy from Just Pets. Just recently this 3 year old precious and sweet dog suddenly died due to a genetic heart condition that led him to have a massive heart attack. I know the reason for his death only because I had a necropsy done. I was in complete shock... along with his veterinarian who had been seeing him for routine visits for years. He had no signs of any heart issues throughout his life. When I purchased him from Just Pets I was given papers such as vaccinations, micro chip identification and the breeders name and the pups parents names. Nothing more was given to show that the dog was in good health. I attempted to find the breeder online to hopefully get more information on my pups parents but was unable to locate any of the breeders information .... (All I know is that he is in Nebraska as that was on the form that Just Pets gave me) I thought this was all pretty weird. Now I have learned my lesson the hard way and hope that no one else gets caught up in the cuteness of the puppy before they do their research on where it came from. Just Pets should disclose all of this information and if they don't have it they should not be selling animals that are from sketchy breeders. Please do not allow this to continue!!!! read more

I could smell the store long before I entered it. We ended up going inside and my husband had to leave because the stench was so strong. These poor puppies are cramped 5-6 to a cage and look unhealthy and miserable. I would never purchase an animal from this store. Consider rescuing a dog before supporting the animal abuse that is clearly happening at Just Pets. I can't imagine that they'll be in business much longer. I feel so sorry for the dogs. read more

I purchased a Havanese puppy in June. I visited the store 3 times in two weeks and had a positive experience all three times. The girls working were very helpful and very persistent with the care of the animals and continuously cleaning up after them and giving them attention. When I finally made a decision to buy my puppy, I felt very comfortable with my decision. They provided me with all vaccination records and she was chipped. Overall a very good experience. I took her to my Vet for a check up. The Vet said she looked great and had a very sweet disposition. Unfortunately my girl did test positive for Giardia. A week of medication, she was all cleared up and got a clean bill of health. My neighbor saw her and bought a puppy from the same place the next weekend. She is healthy, happy and we have play dates! read more

I'm surprised by all of the negative reviews... We first went in without any expectations of getting a new dog... just happened to pass the store. We went in and we were greeted in a friendly manner. We have a lhasa apso who we rescued at 8 and is now 12... Although he was rough around the edges and it took a lot of time to come around, he is one of the best dogs we have ever had.. With that being said we were waiting for one to come up with the Denver dumb friends league. When we came into the store we ran into this sweet guy... He was the oldest dog in the store. No one could understand why he hadent been adopted yet... He was calm, cool, and very easy going. We were in love.... I told my wife we would wait and think about adopting a puppy. I was honestly hoping he would get adopted before my next day off, but a call to the store proved he was still there... Now a week later I can't even imagine him not being here... He is so great! We took him to the vet... He is in perfect health.. We put him in the kennel while we are at work, he has no accidents and doesn't bark or whine. He is already pretty much potty trained. I was so apprehensive buying this little guy but I must say it was one of the best decisions I've made. read more

Do your homework!!! This place is a joke. They sold our dog right out from under us. We were on a waiting list for almost a month calling weekly for updates and only to have our dreams shattered. This place only cares about making a quick buck and does realize the are selling family members. But everything happens for a reason. I did more research and found out there are much better places to get dogs from. Credible places. Just dogs will not give you parent info, Breeder info, nor will they allow you to have the dogs checked out before purchase. There is a reason for this folks. Do your homework. Also this place drugs there animals during transportation. Be aware. Not a good place and their cost is higher then top breeders. STAY AWAY read more

Walked in to look for a dog with my sister and When I asked to hold one of the animals I was told I'm not allowed to because I have to be interested in buying a dog and over the age of 18, both were obviously true and I still was denied access to try to bond with the dog before buying it. Workers were snappy and rude. If you're looking to buy a dog don't come here because you won't be able to have a chance to connect with the animal before purchase. If I could give this place a 0 star rating I would. This place so OBVIOUSLY gets their puppies from puppy mills, or goes out of their way to not take care of them properly. I had gone in to get a new collar for my mothers dog and was immediately approached by an employee wanting to know if I wanted to look at their "dogs of the month." They were a litter of sweet baby schnoodles who were 5 months old and had been there since they were 8 weeks. These poor puppies were 4-5 in a cage and their fur was long, matted, and really dirty. It was pretty obvious they had never been groomed. Their pricing was marked down from $1500 to $500 with their supplies included. I said sure and I picked out the biggest of the litter, a sweet little girl who was 7 pounds. I've never seen a dog more excited for human contact than her. As I was playing with her all she wanted to do was stay in my lap and cling to my arms when I picked her up. I was so sad because I wanted to take her home but $500 was steep for me, so I told her that. She asked what I would pay for her and I gave her a number and she accepted. I asked where she came from and how big she would get and they said she came from a licensed breeder out of Colorado (because apparently Colorado doesn't have good breeder laws?) and that she would grow to 20 pounds. Something told me I needed to get her out of there, something wasn't right. The next day my fiancé and returned to get her. They gave us all her paperwork and then proceeded to tell us that she may be a bit nervous because they've never taken her outside the pet shop. NOT EVEN FOR A WALK AROUND THE BLOCK. Within an hour of bringing her home she was in such bad shock she literally would not move. You would set her on the ground and she just sat there looking at you. She wouldn't play, she wouldn't eat, she wouldnt drink, she would barely walk around until she just stopped and sat and stared at you. We took her to the vet the next day and were told she had a parasite and a double ear infection that was specifically from neglect (those are the vets words not mine). I called back to let the pet store know that they needed to check the other puppies for a parasite and that she had a double ear infection from neglect and they said it was because she "had floppy ears" and would not give us any money for her vet bills. I did not ask for any money. In the 7 months since owning her she's not only had a double ear infection and a parasite, but 3 urinary tract infections, is afraid of most men, and has MAJOR separation anxiety. She is 9 pounds, not the 20 they said she would grow to be. It is very obvious to me this place sells puppies from illegal puppy mills, and have no conscious. Although I wouldn't trade my sweet girl for anything, and she is truly the sweetest dog on the planet, I do not condone this type of behavior from businesses and want everyone to know the risk involved when buying pets at this pet store. I've attached pictures of the day we got her, and one of her now. Needless to say, my Nala is one of the best parts of my life and I wouldn't trade her for ANYTHING, but if I get any other dogs, they will come from shelters or reputable breeders, not a puppy store. read more

I gave Just Pets a one-star rating and that still stands to be true because of the fact that my puppy had giardia, ear mites and according to my doctor showed signs of coming from a puppy mill. I am going to revise my statement only because of this, if I would not have went into Just Pets at the end of the day I would not have my Benji, I would have another puppy which I'm sure I would have fallen in love with but Benji is for me and I am for Benji and so I am okay with Just Pets because that's where my Benji lived before I adopted/purchased him. My puppy is the most precious part of my life. When you purchase a dog or a puppy from a place that does support puppy mills that is not good I realize that because that just encourages further purchases from puppy mills, I guess I just feel lucky that the puppy I have I would have never found had I not gone to Just Paws. I found him in just enough time before he got two sick, he was miserable with his medical issues and I'm so glad that I am the one that adopted him because I know that he will be okay now. We purchased a healthy dog from the Just Pets location in Littleton and we love him. We just happened to be in Centennial last week walking around and saw the other Just Pets location. Yikes!!!! I bought a shitzu and a yorkie from Just Pets and they are great! My yorkie is 3 pounds and is just over a year and has always been super healthy, same with my 8 month old shitzu she is such a happy great girl! Just pets was wonderful all around through customer service to very informative. I wish people would see that they are true to what they say and are one of the best pet stores I've been too! All puppies are happy and healthy. And when I read the other reviews on here it makes me mad because half of those reviews are based off of reputations for all puppy store businesses when this one is obviously different and care about their cleaniness and puppies. Puppies are babies they have the possibility of getting sick same with little kids but you don't see people getting mad at hospitals. I thank this store for all their help and making me feel welcomed and very informative. People need to research and not be so judgemental and get off their high horse and realize how great this place is. Check it out for yourself they will prove it to you from the moment you walk in. I love my puppies and thank god that I got them from this wonderful place! Definitely will come back in the future :) read more

Do not purchase from this pet store! I have never received such poor customer service in my life. I have visited them multiple times and each time the service gets worse. I went in last night at 6:20 and told the employee that was working that I was going to purchase a puppy right then. She seemed far from interested. We asked about a few puppies and she refused to move away from behind the register and asked me to move out of the way because she couldn't see the dog we were asking about. She told me that she couldn't show me more than one dog because they were closing soon (40 minutes)! She also asked what my budget was which I said whatever it needed to be, I knew what the prices were, and she responded in a condescending way implying I couldn't afford it. The main concern here is the well being of the animals. There is never more than one employee which is not enough to take care of the pets or the customers. When a crowd of people came in last night she went to the back and stayed there until they left. Isn't the goal to find a good home for these adorable puppies? Apparently that's not theirs. Don't go here!!!! I had to give it one star to post but I wouldn't give it any. read more
