I recently had the misfortune of bringing my 2003 Lexus SC 430 to Mid-Shore Tire for three dashboard - Yellow warning lights. Thinking they had the expertise to handle a diagnosis, I authorized nearly $700 in repair work. They managed to clear exactly one light. Enter the manager, Ben - a man whose ego appears to be roughly the size of the Bay Bridge. His "expert" solution on next steps - - spend $1,100++ on a new steering wheel sensor. Confidently suggesting this would resolve the other two lights. Fortunately, I sought a second opinion at the Lexus dealership in Annapolis. I met a Master Tech with 32 years of experience who fixed the entire issue with a simple "System Reset." Total cost: $120. Total time: One hour. The car needed a simple system reset. That's it. No parts. No guesswork. No $1,100 science experiment. The kicker? When I called Ben to share the good news and save him from making the same mistake with future customers, he was so flummoxed and embarrassed that he told me to "never come back." Bottom Line: Trust me, Ben - you won't have to worry about that. If you need tires, air, or wiper blades, Mid Shore Tire is fine. If you need actual diagnostics, competent troubleshooting, or someone who doesn't treat your car like a slot machine, go literally anywhere else.
