However, I think that goes to show how much people actually like this place. I was there a few weeks ago, and I'm just now getting to review it, but I feel like I should have done this earlier! I had been coming back from the Brooklyn Museum, and it was raining very badly. I was hungry, and I wanted somewhere to go just so I would not be in the rain. I was with one of my friends who was also hungry and just wanted to get out of the rain. We found this place, and we both loved it very much. The food was served fairly fast despite there being quite a few people there, the servers were funny, the presentation was STUNNING, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. They also warmed our pastries up, which is SUCH a big thing for both of us. We love that it was offered upon just ordering our pastries. Also, the decor in there was beautiful. It was warm, it smelled so good, and I was sitting at the window, so I got a view of the street! The people working there were kind, the people ORDERING were kind, and honestly, I can not say anything bad about how the place looked. Cozy alone does not do this place justice. The prices were fair. They were not exactly cheap, but it was so worth it. Another thing I'm big on is that I'm quite picky. I don't eat much at restaurants because I nearly always find something I don't like or someone forgets to leave something out of my order. They didn't. I have no complaints. Only praise, this place was great, and I am planning on coming back with my friend!!

We opted to share a cold brew (which was sooooo deliciously nutty) and the special of the day which was a breakfast sandwich featuring beef sausage. I don't typically have high expectations of bagels from places that aren't solely bagel shops, BUT the everything bagel we had our sandwich on was great in flavor, texture, etc. To top it off, service was super friendly and quick. There are about 4-5 tables inside and a table or two outside, for those looking to dine in. All in all would definitely recommend - we are excited to come back!

It is so clear that they use incredibly high-quality ingredients and carefully curate each component, which is exactly why everything comes together in such an elevated way. The tomatoes reminded me of the ones I grew in my garden during California summers as a teenager. Perfectly salted, layered over soft, not-too-tart feta. The focaccia was made with beautiful olive oil and, while a bit chewier than I usually prefer, gave the sandwich a satisfying bite. I had to close my eyes while eating it just to savor it. The chocolate cherry almond croissant... wow. Such a creative combination, and it did not disappoint. Soft, buttery, and filled with a sour cherry compote that reminded me of a cherry cordial from a box of chocolates. 5/5. Hainsley, who helped me, was exceptionally lovely. Everyone even in line was very nice, the vibes were awesome. I'll definitely be back to try the spicy tofu sandwich and the heirloom tomato tart!

While they didn't have their full selection available, there were still plenty of pastries to choose from. We ended up getting the vanilla kouign amann and the chocolate PB&J croissant. The kouign amann was flaky, buttery, and beautifully caramelized. The chocolate PB&J croissant was easily our favorite. It was filled with rich, decadent chocolate and a layer of jelly that balanced everything out without making it overly sweet. My significant other hasn't stopped talking about it since! We're already looking forward to coming back to try more.

I waited for about 45 minutes, while waiting I picked up my chips and a white peach ginger ale. I also talked to the girl in front and she explained that you can get your sandwhich on a hero or roll. I ordered a chopped honey turkey with onions, pickles, lettuce and mayo. The guy who made my sandwich was soo friendly and patient. I just put my trust in him to hook it up lol. He also asked if I wanted to add the chips and I did. Overall my sandwhich was better the next day after it firmed up. The flavor was good but the texture was soft, mushy and just not what I want in a turkey sandwhich. It ran me about 12.00 and it was worth the experience.

The original name was called laurose and tuna salad chopping has been happening for over four decades. My fort green family really know what it is. My cousin and I stopped by yesterday and picked up a couple of heroes. I had to get my beef salami and 3 pepper colby jack cheese, extra mayo, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles, on a whole wheat hero (10.99) . Much love to a family staple for years. Definitely a place for you to pick up a sandwich that won't break the bank.

From the moment you arrive, the air is filled with the irresistible aroma of authentic Mexican herbs and spices. The juicy, flavorful chicken tastes like it's been prepared with care, love, and a deep sense of tradition. The service was top-tier--warm, welcoming, and genuinely positive. That kind of energy matters, especially when it comes to the people preparing your food, and you can feel it here. The pico de gallo and guacamole paired perfectly with the tender chicken--absolutely delicious. And the margaritas? Both flavors were spot on. Everything lived up to what Francisco, the owner, promised--even down to a great conversation about La Taq's humble beginnings and the passion behind it. It's inspiring to see a dream still thriving on a Park Slope block, serving generous portions of high-quality, flavorful food. Gigi with the shades will definitely be back--this place speaks for itself. xoxoxo

I ordered the burrito bowl with fish as my filling with the black beans. It can with 2 of there chips in it as well which was really good. The fish was amazing and the bowl was great. Good size bowl, very filling and I was very hungry. There is a utensil station where you can get forks, knifes, spoons, limes and sauces. Also to go containers if you didn't fish. The location is cute and spacious. There are retro looking tables in the back where you can sit down to eat.
